About: I have been caring for pets since I was 10 years old. I love all animals I always have. I'm a very sensitive soul and I really feel their energy. They seem to love me as well. I've always treated all of my fur babies as just that, part of the family like a very important part! About: Greyhound lady with over a decade training and caring for dogs, including certifying two rescued racetrack greyhounds as therapy dogs through Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs. I've cared for five rescue dogs over the years — four greyhounds and a pug mix — handling everything from puppy adjustment to senior care, including medications, mobility needs, and end-of-life support. I use calm, positive-reinforcement handling and I'm skilled at reading a dog's stress or comfort level in real time, so walks stay relaxed and enjoyable. I'm also experienced with nervous or reactive dogs, having safely de-escalated an unleashed dog confrontation while working a mail route. My own dog takes 1.5 hours walk per day. We love Donaldson Park and the Highland Park Meadows, Johnson Park, Cheesequake and Morristown National Park for treats. Safety comes first on every walk. I read each dog's body language and comfort level before we even leave the door, and I adjust pace, route, or duration accordingly — a skill I built training two rescued greyhounds as certified therapy dogs. I stay alert to hazards like other loose animals, traffic, and extreme heat, and I know how to calmly de-escalate a tense situation if one arises. I treat every pet with the same patience and care I give my own rescue dogs, and I communicate clearly with owners before and after each walk so they always know how their pet is doing.

About: I’ve cared and loved dogs of various backgrounds. In my experience, I’ve successfully integrated a reactive dog with others, while maintaining a loving environment. I’ll make sure your pet gets the enrichment they need to fulfill a life an animal deserves (love and fun) ! I’m currently working full time from Mon-Friday from 9-6PM and mostly free on weekends. But know that after work feeling of wanting to just hangout, focus on hobbies, or go out to eat. That’s where I come in! About: Like any sitter on Rover, I have a deep love for animals, but what sets me apart is my experience caring for and advocating for pets who may be nervous, fearful, or reactive. I’ve been a proud owner of Maple for the past 8 years. She is a very nervous and fear-reactive Australian Cattle Dog/Jack Russell rescue, and over the years I’ve worked closely with her to help her feel more comfortable and confident. That has included training, medication, patience, and plenty of high-value treats! Living with Maple has taught me how important it is to understand a pet’s individual needs, recognize their body language and comfort levels, and never rush them into situations they aren’t ready for. I’m comfortable giving pets the time, space, and reassurance they need to feel safe and cared for. Whether your pet is outgoing and playful or needs a little extra patience and understanding, I’m committed to meeting them where they are and giving them the care they deserve. If your pet has a hard time on walks, I am perfectly comfortable handling these types of situations to ensure they get their walks stress free. Otherwise, all the more excited to work with you and your pets' needs. I follow your instructions closely and do my best to keep their normal routine consistent—from feeding and walks to medications, playtime, and quiet time. I’m especially mindful of doors, gates, leashes, and other potential escape routes, and I never assume a pet is comfortable with something just because another pet might be. I pay attention to body language and let pets set the pace, especially when they’re shy, nervous, or reactive. My experience with Maple, my nervous and fear-reactive rescue, has taught me to be patient, observant, and proactive. I understand that building trust can take time, and I would much rather give a pet the space they need than push them beyond their comfort zone. I also know how important it is for owners to feel comfortable trusting someone in their home. I’ll treat your space with the same care and respect I give your pets, and I’ll keep you updated during visits so you know how your pet is doing.
