“If I could give Malena 10 stars, I would! We had to leave our "quirky" senior dog with medical needs during a two week trip we had planned overseas. She got quite sick two years ago and we thought the chances she would still be with us this year were unfortunately pretty slim, so we went ahead and booked our trip. She fooled us and is doing quite well for a blind, almost-deaf, diabetic dog! :) Malena stayed at our house for two weeks and didn't blink an eye at Daisy's quirks or special needs. It is hard to explain these quirks without sounding like we are crazy dog owners (which maybe we are), but Malena was very receptive when we explained and was interested in how Daisy likes to do things to make sure she was comfortable. Malena was a life saver and really gave us the peace of mind to enjoy our trip. She sent updates and Daisy's tail was always up in the pictures (a very good sign). Everything seemed to go amazingly well!! When we got home, Daisy was so calm and relaxed...almost like we were hardly gone...and the house looked great! Also, our flight was delayed due to weather and Malena went out of her way to make sure Daisy was set until we got home. I have zero complaints and it was wonderful to be able to enjoy this trip over a year in the making without stressing about how Daisy was doing! We would love to have Malena back to watch Daisy whenever she is available!!!”

About: I was raised with both dogs and cats and have a good understanding of how to care for them in different stages of their life! I have been with my dogs since they were 1 year old until death. I have personal experience with medium and large sized dogs but am happy to care for any sized furry friend! Whether your pet is a cuddler or likes to be alone, I will always curate my care around what your pet needs and is comfortable with. I am a Junior at MSU studying Human Biology and hoping to become a doctor. I also work part time as a LMT so even though I have some time I’m out doing things, I have good sized gaps in my day to allow me to care for your pets! I am quite the homebody too so I do not mind spending time with your pets overnight or for long times! Other than the basic food and water, I am always ready to play with any pet. Whether roughhousing with a dog or playing with a cat in one place. I am also an active person and am more than happy to take your pet on a walk! I have experience with pets being scared during thunderstorms and use multiple techniques to calm them in their distress.

About: I've been caring for dogs my entire highschool career and I'm keeping it going while I'm in college. I have cared for big, small, older, and special need dogs. I can handle any challenge the pet may bring. I grew up with cats, dogs, fishes, and Axolotls, always at least 4 animals in the house at one time! I'm at school from 8:10am-11:30am On Monday-Thursday with plenty of time for check ins morning, afternoon, and evening. I am often busy on Fridays during the spring and fall but my weekends are completely open! I am familiar with care for all types of dogs and their quirks, I give frequent walks, make sure food and water is available, and play with them. I like to provide as much comfort as I can to pets that miss their owners.

About: I’ve been around and cared for dogs for most of my life. I grew up around large breeds, including American Bullmastiffs and Presa Canarios, so I’m very comfortable handling and caring for big dogs. I have a special love for bully breeds, but I love dogs of all breeds and sizes, from the biggest dogs to the smallest. I’ve helped with feeding, walking, playing, check-ins, and everyday care. Growing up around large dogs has taught me how important it is to understand each dog’s personality, boundaries, and body language. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I’m a college student with a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time throughout the week for pet care. Monday through Thursday, I have classes in the morning with 2–4 hour breaks between classes, giving me time for walks, drop-ins, feeding, and playtime. I’m off work Tuesday and Thursday evenings and have additional availability on Fridays. I typically start my days around 7–8 a.m., so I’m also available for morning care. My work schedule is flexible when needed, allowing me to work pet care into my routine. I always want pets to feel safe and comfortable while in my care. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any other instructions you provide. I understand that every animal has their own personality and boundaries, so I’ll take the time to make sure they’re comfortable with me. I’m very careful with doors, gates, leashes, and anything else that could affect their safety. And you can definitely expect lots of pictures and videos! I love keeping owners updated—you might get so many that you’ll end up missing your pet even more while you’re away!
