“Samantha did an excellent job walking and feeding my dog while I was away. My dog has a sensitive stomach and unfortunately she had two accidents. Samantha helped clean up the accidents and gave my dog probiotics to help her stomach. I would highly recommend Samantha she was highly reliable and provided frequent updates.”

About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!
About: I love dogs! My son loves dogs! We will play in the pool or run around or eat bones! Whatever your dog wants is what we’ll do! We could go to the park or sit outside and get to know each other. Dogs steal mine and my sons heart! We want to open up our home with welcome arms. Anydoggy is welcome! I’m good with flexibility and I’m patient. I can take your dog for walks or give them a nice long belly rub. I can teach them new tricks or just spoil them rotten. They’ll be in doggy heaven with me! They won’t want to go back home! I’m hoping to build a strong relationship with them and love them like they are my own! I’m a stay at home mom so I have all the time and energy to take care of animals! I love animals! I have a cat that I rescued from the Texas heat. He’s a literal mamas boy! I refresh my cats water daily. Scoop his litter daily. Give him wet food and treats daily. I spoil him just like I do my kids.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. I have experience with a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, corn snakes, bunnies, and chickens. I started dog sitting at 16 and have regularly cared for my cousin’s three dogs for multi-day stays. I also pet sit for my uncle’s small dog, Halsey, and previously cared for my sister’s cat for several months. I’m comfortable managing multiple pets at once and always make sure each one gets the attention they deserve. At home, I have an 8-year-old Shih Tzu who definitely runs the house — and I happily spoil her! I’m very patient with senior pets and those who may have accidents or need extra cleanup. While I don’t offer full grooming, I’m always happy to give baths in the comfort of your pet’s home when needed. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal like family and provide lots of love, updates, and attentive care. :)) I currently work a part-time job only two days per week, so I have very open availability for pet care. My usual unavailable days are Sundays and Wednesdays. If my schedule ever changes, I always know at least a week in advance and will keep clients fully updated. I take my commitments seriously and do my best to avoid last-minute cancellations (Which has never happened!). Clear communication and reliability are very important to me, and I always respect my clients’ time and plans. Caring for pets in their own home is often the most comfortable and least stressful for them, and I always aim to keep their routine as normal as possible. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and personality, whether they’re very social or prefer to warm up at their own pace. I’m happy to provide plenty of affection, playtime, walks, or quiet cuddle time — whatever your pet enjoys most. I always follow your care instructions closely and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.

About: My name is Sophia and I am the owner of Cozy Canine Retreat LLC, a home-based, insured, and personalized pet care experience built around calm, structured, and attentive care. I hold a degree in Animal Science along with Equine Business Management & Training, and I spent three years volunteering with a service dog organization, supporting basic obedience training and socialization. This background allows me to confidently work with a wide range of temperaments, routines, and care needs. At home, I care for four dogs, a horse, and a turtle, giving me daily, hands-on experience with animals of different sizes, energy levels, and personalities. My boyfriend and I provide care together, which allows for increased supervision and flexibility. Because we work different shifts, there is often someone available, ensuring pets receive consistent attention throughout the day. Through Cozy Canine Retreat, my goal is to provide a safe, calm, and thoughtfully curated care experience where every pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for. Pet care is seamlessly built into my daily routine. I work full-time remotely Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing me to be home and available throughout the day for supervision, potty breaks, meals, and enrichment. My evenings and weekends are open and flexible to accommodate extended stays and special care needs. Additionally, my boyfriend works a 3:00 PM–1:00 AM shift, which creates overlapping coverage in the home and helps ensure pets are not left alone for long periods. This schedule allows me to provide a calm, attentive, and well-supervised environment, aligned with the level of care offered through Cozy Canine Retreat. At Cozy Canine Retreat, we care for your pet as if they were our own. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and well-being are our top priorities. We create a calm, structured, and supervised environment where pets feel secure, relaxed, and loved. We take the time to learn each pet’s routines, preferences, and personality, ensuring they feel just as comfortable with us as they do at home. Whether it’s playtime, meals, or quiet rest, every detail is tailored to provide trustworthy, individualized care.
About: Animals are such a joy, and I am thankful for the opportunity to meet your furry babies! I am currently located in Seguin, and originally a Texas native. Growing up, I always had a dog, and more recently I have gotten experience with cats! I am a proud mom of my 6-year-old female husky named Stella! She is the sweetest girl and a major lover of new puppies! I also am the mom to a 6-year old female GSP named Maya. She loves to run and chase squirrels all day! I am a huge advocate of living an active lifestyle and enjoying the outdoors! I would ensure that your pet gets their daily activity while also exploring nature. I would take care of your pet as if they were my own! I currently work a full-time job so the best times for me would be in the afternoons or on the weekends. I do on occasion have availability during the day during weekdays. My spouse works from home so if there any special circumstances during the day care is available. I currently live in a home with a large fenced in yard. Stella and Maya would be able to keep your babies company! We do have crates available if needed.
About: I've been taking care of different animals since I was a kid. From farm livestock to exotic animals with more specific needs, I'm confident I can keep your pet very happy and comfortable. I'm currently a college student full time, however I have many large gaps in my schedule. I'm fully free on weekends and just ask for my specific free times during the week, as they can vary. I'm a on campus living student so I can't have any pets over, but I'm available to do pet walks, quick visits, and overnight watches.
About: I've had pets my whole life and find no other pleasure than taking care of them like my children. I currently have two dogs, and would have 10 more if I could. I will treat your animal with care and respect and give them undivided attention until you get home. Communication is a must so you will know exactly how your pet is doing at all times along with pictures so you can be rest assured your fur baby is doing great! I am very aware of my surroundings and will keep your pet my first priority when walking. During a walk, other animals can come out of nowhere and I am prepared to handle that. I am ready to start my new pet sitting experience, I know your pet will love me.
About: Yup, I was that kid who dressed her puppy in doll clothes, I promise not to do that unless you want me to. Happy Tails I’m flexible with my hours. I'm that person who brings home every stray. So….My husband wants us to have less animals so this way I have time to love on yours. I have a fence for dogs to play and do there business. We prefer to crate the dogs at night if at all possible when your baby stays with us. When I come to the door I hope your pet will be happy to see a friendly face.

“Being new to the Rover community, Jenny was patient, helpful, and very responsive, answering all of my questions and concerns. I was a little worried at first, that my 60lb high energy dog might be a bit too much for any walker, but after the first walk, Jenny put my mind at ease. Jenny is very punctual and will treat your pet as her own. I already booked Jenny for the following week and plan to only use her for all of my dog’s needs!”

About: I have experience taking care of animals from big to small, young and old. I have experience with the elderly, disabled, administering medication, and special dietary needs. I have a special interest in exotic animals. I have worked with all kinds of reptiles and hope to work with more! I am currently a full-time college student and go to school Monday and Wednesday from 9-3:30 every week. A have a small window of free time from 12:30-1:30 on the days I have school. I make sure my client's home and in the same condition as they were when I entered. I take pride in knowing that any messes, hair, accidents, or any incidents get cleaned up in a quick and concise manner. I make sure to give the animals I care for an enriching environment. I make a point to play with and give affection to the animals for at least 30 minutes every visit.
About: I've owned at least eight dogs in my life, and taken care of at least six of my friends and family's dogs multiple times. I am currently attending college, but have very few classes, so I have plenty of time to care for animals. I also donate plasma two days a week, but it never lasts longer than an hour, so it shouldn't effect my care. I ensure my animals have plenty of time to use the bathroom frequently, and am very good at following instructions given to me for the animal.
About: I've had a strong passion for animals since I was very young, and I've spent years caring for them whenever I had the chance. Visiting zoos, animal shelters, and spending time with friends' pets eventually led me to start pet sitting and dog walking at a young age as well. Through over a decade of hands on experience, personal research, and owning reptiles, cats, and other small species, I've learned how to care for a wide variety of animals, including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, rodents, fish, and even insects and snails. I combine compassion, patience, and responsibility to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for according to their individual needs. I’m especially knowledgeable about cats and very familiar with canine body language. I also care for stray cats in my neighborhood, which has given me even more experience understanding animal behavior and building trust with shy or nervous pets. However, I’m committed to providing the same level of attentive care to every animal I work with. I’m comfortable with most ages, sizes, and species of pets, excluding babies that still need to be bottle fed. Please let me know in advance if your pet has severe aggression, medical concerns, or special care instructions, and provide emergency contact information for a veterinarian or trusted person if needed. I can help with everything from walks and playtime to feeding, cleanup, litter boxes, and poop scooping. I understand that pet care can sometimes be messy, and I’m patient with accident-prone animals. Animal care is something I genuinely care deeply about, and I always strive to provide an experience that leaves both pets and owners feeling happy, comfortable, and confident. I look forward to meeting you and your animals! I’m currently available to provide care any day of the week, including holidays unless stated otherwise, just ask! I’m pretty flexible and can usually adapt to last minute requests, so feel free to reach out and we can try to work something out. I’m always happy to provide updates and photos during visits if you’d like them as well. I don't currently work outside of Rover jobs, so I'm also available any time of day for jobs and meet and greets. I'm happy to go off-app for repeat clients, to avoid the extra fees that Rover takes (20-30% off sitter pay and 10% extra charge to the owners that goes straight to them). Going through Rover for the first booking will ensure both parties feel comfortable and trustworthy before moving forward with direct arrangements. Feel free to ask more about this! I will give my full attention and care to both your pet and your home. I’m willing to go above and beyond to keep your pet comfortable and your home clean and mess-free. I keep food dishes clean, toys picked up, and always make sure all doors, windows, and gates are properly locked and secured before leaving your home. I can carefully follow any special instructions provided, and I will care for your animals with the same love, patience, and attention to detail that I give to my own.
About: I’m definitely no expert, but I have taught my own dogs how to sit, shake, lay down, roll, and speak! All with some TLC and treats!! I’m also a big fan of cats, but haven’t been able to have any of my own due to my roommates, but I’ll always go to my friends house to hangout with their cats when I need a recharge of feline energy. I’ve also pet sat for my sisters dogs every time she has to go out of town for work and on one of our tours I was in charge of taking care of a crew chiefs pet while they had to step away for an extended period. Including my own pets I’ve been around them for 15 years and I did lose my best friend this last year to age and being able to spend time with your pets will definitely be as fulfilling for me so you know the love I hold for animals will transfer to your babies as well. Since I’m in a down time because no tours are happening right now that I’m a part of I have a lot of time to dedicate to your animals. When it picks back up I may not be as available but that won’t be until closer to the end of Q1. I treat any and all pets with the utmost respect and care because they are family to someone. Not only that but any mistreatment to animals makes me sick to my stomach. Firm, but with room and capacity to allow fun and happiness to flow through in abundance. My roommate’s dog enjoys the house to himself and I’m only there to support him, taking him out for a walk, to potty and feeding him and of course sneaking a few snacks in cause I know that sweet guy loves a good treat.
“Tim is timely and each dog gets a walk around the block. Our shy dog is improving with routine that Tim gives us each week. Our little dog who is mostly blind loves the walk. This is his chance to get out and smell the neighborhood ❤️”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
