About: I grew up working on a farm, and since coming to college, I’ve continued caring for a wide variety of animals ranging from large, medium, small, and exotic. For large animals I cared for horses and cows. I have hands on experience with daily care routines including early morning and late night feedings, catching and handling, mixing and measuring feed and medications, water changes, brushing, injury care and reporting, hoof care, and bathing. I also have experience exercising horses on lead ropes and riding them. For medium animals I have experience with pigs and goats. My responsibilities included feeding and watering, bottle feeding babies when needed, milking goats, changing bedding, and providing hay or pine straw. In colder weather, I ensured animals were brought in from pasture and had proper shelter and heating. For small animals my experience is with chickens and meat rabbits. I’ve cared for chickens and rabbits by feeding, watering, brushing, cleaning cages and coops, collecting eggs, and securing them safely at night. For cats and dogs, I have experience with rescues, reactive pets, and both high and low maintenance animals. For dogs, I have experience with all ages from young puppies to older seniors, indoor, outdoor and working dogs more specifically hunting dogs. This includes feeding (kibble, raw, fresh food), administering oral and topical medications, walking, playing, kennel cleaning, training exercises, nail trimming, bathing, brushing, coat care, and post surgery care. For cats, I provide food and water, administer oral and topical medications, clean litter boxes, and offer post-surgery care. I also engage in play, provide brushing and coat care, and have experience walking cats when needed. While I haven’t administered injections, I’m comfortable doing so with proper instruction. For aquatic animals I have cared for fish and turtles.I have experience with freshwater aquariums and ponds, including water treatment, testing, water changes, and feeding. I’m open to learning about saltwater care. For reptiles and exotic pet I have experience with bearded dragons and snakes. I cared for a friend’s bearded dragon for five months, during which I upgraded her tank and lighting, took her to the vet, and managed her diet (veggies, fruits, crickets, roaches, mealworms), tank cleaning, and shedding care. I’ve also cared for non-venomous and low-venomous snakes for friends, including feeding (live and thawed frozen), water changes, and warm soaks during shedding. While I haven’t owned a snake yet, I’ve done extensive research and feel confident handling them with proper guidance. For birds I have limited experience with birds but am comfortable caring for them with detailed instructions and a walkthrough from the owner. As a college student, I’ve built my schedule to allow time for pet care throughout the week. I have one class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:15 PM, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have four classes between 8:30 AM and 2:15 PM, with breaks in between. These gaps give me flexibility to check in on pets, handle feedings, walks, or other care tasks during the day. Outside of class hours, I’m available in the mornings, evenings, and weekends, which allows me to maintain consistent routines for animals that need daily attention. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. Growing up on a farm and continuing to care for animals throughout college has made it second nature to prioritize their needs. I’m used to early mornings and late evenings dedicated to feeding, cleaning, and checking on animals. I regularly schedule time for walks, play, grooming, and health checks, and I’m comfortable adapting my routine to meet the specific needs of each pet—whether it’s administering medication, handling post-surgery care, or simply spending quality time with them. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and make time for every day. Since I’m only allowed to have fish in my current housing, all of my pet care takes place in my clients’ homes. I take this responsibility seriously and always prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for the pets I care for. I follow all instructions closely to maintain the pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, medication administration, exercise, and any special care needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and secure. I make sure doors and gates are properly closed, clean up after pets, and ensure they have fresh water, clean bedding, and a safe environment. I also pay close attention to the pet’s behavior and health, and I communicate regularly with the owner to provide updates and peace of mind. In the event of an emergency, I stay calm and act quickly. I contact the pet owner immediately, follow any emergency instructions they’ve provided, and seek veterinary care if needed. I keep a list of local emergency vets and pet hospitals on hand, and I’m comfortable making judgment calls when a pet’s health or safety is at risk. My goal is always to protect the pet and keep the owner informed every step of the way. Whether I’m caring for a pet for a few hours or several days, I treat every animal and home with the same respect, attention, and care I would give my own.

About: Working with Animals has been my dream job for a very long time. I was raised in Athens, GA and I couldn't ask for a better place to grow in. I love meeting new pets and owners. The love of the animal community in Athens is very beautiful and I'm glad to be part of that community. I worked at a local pet store for about 4 years learning about how to care for pets and the tools necessary to give pets the longest and happiest life. I also worked a year in a small veterinary center that equipped me with the resources to care for ill and older pets and learn a little about animal medicine. Pet sitting has been something I have done for more than 6+ years and wish to keep it going. I hope I can help owners in Georgia feel safe and comfortable knowing their pet is at home with someone who cares about them as much as you do. Please feel free to ask for references I have a few steady clients and would love to get more! If you need someone last minute for trips, emergencies, or just to check on them during the day please feel free to reach out and I will try my best to make it happen! I have two cats, one hamster, and one chameleon. All of my pets have strict feeding schedules and necessities. Working with animals all these years made me more confident in noticing small changes in behavior or physical patterns. Most of my clients have dogs, walking and training is a huge routine when it comes to caring for them. I hope to always make clients feel at ease when it comes to their pets so I tend to send a quite a few updates and photos but If you would less updates I can definitely do that.

About: I am a vet student at UGA, and I have 5 years of experience in animal husbandry and 4 years of clinical experience. I am highly dependable and confident in providing animal care. I am comfortable in giving medications, caring for senior pets, wearing out energized puppies, and monitoring any ongoing issues. I have personally worked with animals with mobility issues, chronic diseases (Ex: diabetes, kidney disease, Addison’s), weight management programs, and allergies. I am always eager to give love and affection to the pets I care for, so you can be assured your pet will be spoiled with attention when with me. I am a good communicator, and I will go above and beyond for you and your pet. I am a current student who attends class Monday-Friday, and my average schedule goes from 9 am- 3 pm with an hour lunch break from 12 pm-1pm. However, there is some variability in my schedule every week. I only live 5 minutes away from the school I attend, so I would be capable of doing at least 3 walks a day (one in the morning, one at mid-day, and one in the evening). My weekend schedule varies, but I am usually pretty flexible in my schedule. I live with 2 other vet students, and one of my roommates has a 2 year old dog that lives with us, so I would not leave any pet unsupervised with my roommate's animal. If a pet were to stay at my home, I would start the morning with a walk outside and then offer breakfast if instructed. During the week when I have classes, I will either put the pet in their crate or allow them to free roam in my room. I will come home from 12pm- 1pm to let the pet out. I get home anywhere between 2-3pm and will usually take the pet for a walk or initiate playtime with the pet. I am predominantly home for the rest of the evening to care for the animal. If I am caring for a pet in a client's home, I would do my best to stick to the pet's normal schedule and make sure to keep things clean and organized.
About: While finishing up in grad school, I find myself with a more flexible schedule and extra time that I can dedicate to caring for your pet. Whether you're busy with work, running errands, or enjoying some time out, you can rest assured knowing that your pet will be well taken care of. I can offer companionship, playtime, walks, and feeding. With my focus on completing my studies, this gives me a great opportunity to make sure your pet feels loved and attended to, all while you go about your day with peace of mind! While juggling my studies and pet care, I ensure that I dedicate several hours each day to look after my dog, as well as any other pets I have the chance to care for. My dog’s day includes multiple walks throughout the day, along with an evening trip to the dog park. Any dog I care for will also enjoy their own outdoor walk or playtime!
