About: I recently moved to Lafayette and do not live with any animals currently, but I grew up with cats/dogs my entire life and would love help out while I finish my degree. All my school is online so I am very flexible with my schedule and will also work nights/weekends. I’m currently full time online in school so I am very open and flexible to take care of any pets at anytime, including nights/weekends. I make sure to carefully read the instructions from the client and ensure I am doing everything that is asked. If we need to meet before hand, I am more than willing to do that as well, but I have been around animals my entire life and have never had any issues.

While I was stationed at Fort Polk, many of my fellow Soldiers would go on leave, travel home for the holidays, or be away for training. Since I stayed in Louisiana and did not travel because I purchased my home here, I was often happy to help by caring for their pets. About: I have extensive experience with senior dogs and those that need a little extra TLC, as I took care of my baby who needed special care from time to time for her joints, so I am good with prescriptions and anything your fur baby may need. I've had dogs my whole life, and in recent years I've been educating myself through courses and reading about canine health, training, and behavior. For over ten years, I've been a trusted caregiver for friends and family, especially for small dogs. Here's what your dog will find here: • A safe, fenced yard for quick potty breaks and sunbathing (under supervision) • A calm, chaos-free indoor environment — perfect for lap dogs, seniors, and puppies • Plenty of couch cuddles, patience, and an established routine • Dogs who need space can rest in a cozy, separate area without any pressure to play • Daily updates with photos and videos I know every dog is different, so I stick to the routine they have at home. I'd love to meet your best friend! I work 4 to 6 hours a day; the rest of the time, I am at home. I always take them out to the yard before I leave, and I make sure they have food and water. When I return, I take them out to the yard again, and we go for a walk, following our established routine. They usually stay indoors, except for morning and evening walks and bathroom breaks in the fenced yard, which last approximately 30 minutes, three times a day. The dogs eat according to a schedule set by the owner, and they have the freedom to move freely around the house and lie down wherever they want. I have a medium-sized mixed-breed dog who usually ignores other dogs and sometimes plays with them if he likes them.

“Ione was absolutely fantastic with my 12-year-old Yorkie, Lily Marie. I was traveling from California for my graduation at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I needed someone to stay with Lily in our hotel suite while I attended the ceremony at the Cajundome. From start to finish, I felt completely comfortable leaving Lily in Ione's care. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Ione was responsive, transparent, and flexible, coordinating everything in advance, including scheduling a meet-and-greet upon my arrival in Lafayette. She met us at Girard Park, took the time to get to know Lily, and made us feel comfortable right away. On the day of the booking, Ione arrived at the hotel on time and stayed with Lily for the whole scheduled period. During the stay, Ione sent frequent updates and photos that clearly showed her attentiveness and care. Lily settled in very quickly, hardly cried at all, and became comfortable almost immediately. Several of the updates showed Lily lying comfortably in her dog bed, resting on Ione's jacket, and rolling over for belly rubs.
