About: As a passionate animal advocate, I've had the privilege of serving as the Foster Care Coordinator at the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society for 1 year, while also volunteering with shelters throughout my adult life. Additionally, I'm a Certified Veterinarian Assistant, and my life's journey has been enriched by sharing it with diverse animals, from beloved domestic pets like dogs and cats, to hospice and senior animals. About: Hello! I am Briana, I am a 22 years old and currently just working jobs on here. I have 3 dogs: 2 female Australian Shepards and one male. I also have a leopard gecko and 3 chickens. I have always been the one to take care of our pets including feeding, walking, playing with them, etc. I will work with you to give you all my time I can so i can care for you and your fur bab(y/ies) needs. I am reliable, responsible and passionate about working with animals and plan to make a career out of working with animals. They are my pride and joy, and will treat yours like my own. I am open to any types of animals, including fish, reptiles and anything else you may have! My schedule as of right now is open weekdays and some weekends. I am willing to work around my personal schedule to take care of you and your pets needs! We have 11 acres of land and our pups love running free as they please. We feed our dogs twice daily and take them outside every couple of hours, which can be provided for yours as well.

About: I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting for over 2 years! As a child, I helped feed, bathe, clean up after and play with puppies my entire childhood. My love for dogs and animals grew with me and I began volunteering at animal shelters at 14 and working at dog care facilities at 16. I have been working in the pet care industry for 6 years and have been trained on dog behavior, handling and nutrition. I worked for a year as a veterinary assistant before moving to VA, and am looking forward to attending veterinary school this fall. I am experienced with dogs of all ages and understand the importance of training regimes for younger pups. I am also very familiar with senior care, including physical assistance and medication administration. I have also done personal pet sitting for as many as 6 dogs in one household and have references if needed! I value honesty, communication and transparency with pet parents. Please reach out if you would like to learn more! Currently, my day-to-day schedule is constantly changing between pet sitting and classes on certain weekdays. I have been extremely successful in working around others’ schedules with my own, message me to check if I’m able to work with your timeframe! I am experienced and knowledgeable on dog handling and focus on dog safety and comfort. All dogs being walked outside of their home must have a harness or gentle leader, I will not walk dogs with just a collar unless they are unable to wear a harness or gentle leader due to age or health and understand that this is a possibility for many dogs. I make sure a dog feels comfortable and safe with me both in their home and before going out for a walk to guarantee the best safety for both of us. I will not take a dog off-leash outside of their home unless we are in a fully fenced in area the dog cannot escape from. All dogs being walked by me must be familiar with being leash-walked and cannot be leash aggressive. Currently open every day, I just require a 2-3 day heads up! Hours of service include 7am-8pm weekly. House sitting visits include 24 hour care. I do not let dogs off-leash in non-fenced in areas or in spaces with dogs unfamiliar to yours. I require all dogs and cats to be updated on their rabies vaccines. I will not take an unaltered dog outside of his or her home, this is for the safety and wellbeing of your dog. If your dog struggles with behavioral issues and has a history of aggression, please include this in your message so I can help you decide the best options for your pet when it comes to meeting a new pet sitter. If your dog struggles with severe anxiety (this is very common!) please include some of the best anxiety-reducing practices for your dog (ex. favorite blanket, hiding spots, calming treats / jackets) in their care instructions so that they can have the best time possible without their favorite human.

About: I’ve been an avid animal lover from a very young age and have worked with many different types and life stages. My most extensive experience is with horses, but I have also managed flocks of chickens, rehabilitated sick cats, trained dogs, have been responsible for the care of sheep. I was that girl in high school that everyone brought their sick pets to. Nowadays I’m the one people ask for advice concerning everything from behavioral to health problems. As my husband and I are starting our personal farm I am opening up my pet sitting to a more people. I’m currently managing my personal farm and have a seasonal part time job that takes me away Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. Other than that, I am typically at home. I have a 18 acre farm for dogs with a good recall to play on. These dogs can spend most of their day joining me and my own pets in caring for the farm. For dogs without a good recall, I do have a smaller horse paddock that I can let them play in. The fence will hold most dogs of every shape and size. Interaction between residents of the paddock and your pets will only be allowed at my discretion. The residents are dog-friendly and will be moved to another area for your pup’s playtime. I also have access to 25 acre of woods with trails to take dogs on more extensive walks. My personal farm consists of chickens, quail, sheep, a pony, a cow, two large dogs and pigs. I personally feel that a happy pet is one that has a job. In coming to my farm your pets will be treated like my pets. I am not prone to spoiling but I do like to reward jobs well done. There are a few rules but they are easy to learn. Most visiting pets are pros within 15 minutes. I have several toys and puzzles to entertain pups that are more indoor oriented.

About: I’ve never lived a day in my life without having a dog by my side, and I can confidently say that I can’t imagine it any other way. From puppies to our older friends, I love them just like they’re my own. After many years spent with different breeds, sizes, and ages, I am also well versed in pet first aid and common health conditions. I am especially fond of senior dogs and would be honored to care for them. I have recently begun a full time job in Richmond but still petsit often since I truly enjoy it. My schedule best suits check ins with pets in the mornings or evenings. You will never have to worry about how your baby is doing. Because of my own personal (and very anxiety inducing!) experiences with being away from my boy, I am very diligent about keeping pet parents in the loop.

About: I've loved animals since I was a kid and have cared for many throughout my life! I was tasked with raising my family dog since she was a puppy when I was in high school, and I helped my college roommate with her puppy! I have walked/boarded many dogs and cats since moving to Virginia! Being in the military, my coworkers travel a lot so I have become the workplace's go-to "pet auntie." I genuinely love to spoil pets and providing them with a safe and homey environment while their loved ones are out! I have a fairly flexible work schedule so I can come back to my home or to your home to take care of your pet! Early morning, lunch, and evenings are especially free, so I can work around that depending on your needs. I do not own pets, so they will be here as a single child in the case they are boarded! Crates, food, litter boxes, etc will need to be provided as I don't own those things. I have access to many parks around my neighborhood, so walkability is not an issue!

About: I have had pets all my life! We have had cats and dogs growing up. As an adult, we have even had chickens! I love playing with all sorts of fur babies! Not to mention extra snuggles! I have been house-sitting and watching friends' dogs while they go on vacation and have loved every second of it! The job I have right now allows me a lot of free time and I work on my own schedule. So this would give me the availability I would need to help you and your busy schedule!! Your pets would be taken care of in your home. I feel this is the most comfortable and stress-free way for your pets. Whatever their routine is, they will have the same as if you were home with them!

My life revolves around taking care of animals while running the rescue so I am always home to take care of all of their needs. Each dog and cat is different, so it's on a case-by-case basis, I always like to observe their behavior and take care of them based on what they seem comfortable with.

About: I’ve had dogs on and off my entire life. For the last 12 years our family has rescued/adopted 11 dogs. I have kept family and friends' dogs while they vacation as well as done drop ins at their home for walks, feeding and cuddling. I have also taken care of goats and chickens. I will treat your pets how I would want someone to treat mine. I am comfortable around all size and breeds of dogs and cats as well as goats and chickens. I am self employed and have a very flexible schedule. I am available almost any time, including nights and weekends. Most schedules can be accommodated. I have 5 acres which about 1/2 acre is fenced in with 6-foot fencing. I can snuggle your dog on the couch or crate them if they feel more comfortable like that. I have my own personal dogs but keep them separate from other people's pets. If you leave directions of what your pets routine in your home is like I can provide for them in that manner.

About: I have owned, trained and taken care of a huge variety of breeds, temperaments and sizes. My current dog is a 120lb Shiloh Shepherd. My last was a 7lb Rat Terrier, Chihuahua mix! I'm currently in school online and self employed, so I can modify my schedule to fit your needs! From early mornings, to late in the evening, I have you covered! Pets are part of your family and as such, will be treated with the utmost care, respect and diligence. About: I have been dog sitting and dog walking since I was the age of 12 and I have owned dogs and been around dogs since birth. I absolutely love going on dog walks and playing with dogs in my backyard. I believe that dogs are family and should be treated exactly like you would your little baby or child. I used to charge $5 to walk over to my neighbors house and either stay there with him overnight or just give him 3 long walks during the day while they were at work. I also have owned dogs ranging from Yorkies and dachshund size to german Shepard’s and mastiffs. I have had close contact with shelter dogs and puppies that we now own. I absolutely love dogs and pride myself on the excellent care I give them I currently am in the military but work days and my wife works nights so someone is almost always at home to give them walks meals and plenty of love I have a fenced in yard as well as hiking trails just a mile up from my house I love going to with my two pups. I treat your pets exactly as if they were my pets

“the service was listed as Abigail, but Victor was actually our walker. Victor handled my two fellas very professionally, both dogs were always very anxious to hit the trail. Victor helped with putting on their walking gear, and was very flexible when we needed to reschedule because of rain. He sent daily reports to my email, showing their walking route and activities (bathroom and rest breaks). Thirty minute sessions were just right and both pups were ready to settle down for naps. My dogs were a 45# tall beagle and a similar weight Brittany Spaniel. I highly recommend this service and will use again when need arises. Thanks Victor.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 15. I started working for a groomer as a bather for 7 years and have worked at Animal Care of Gloucester for 7 years. I am very well experienced in the their well being, animal behavior, walking, feeding, medicating, bathing. I would love to be able to help take care of animals in my free time. From puppies to seniors I have worked with them all. I am currently working looking for work but I would love to spend my free time taking care of animals. I do have my son every other weekend, so I will be available for pet sitting overnight every other weekend. I live at the end of a quarter mile dirt road off of the main streets, I do not have a fenced in yard but am able to leash walk as many times a day as needed. I have 5 babies of my own, 1 dogs, 2 cats, and a cockatiel that are very friendly and live other animals. I can easily crate if needed and provided and have a pet safe home. I am currently looking for work so anytime is perfectly fine. I do take & pick my son up from school everyday at 8:30am and 3:30pm. I can easily crate pets if needed. I live at the end of a quarter mile dirt road so there is very little traffic and plenty of space for walks.
