About: My life has included dogs for as long I can remember and I have always seemed to read them intuitively, including “problem dogs” that others have difficulty interacting with. I have extensive personal dog handling and grooming experience over the past 25 years and have owned up to 6 dogs at a time. I currently have a 10 year old Chihuahua-mix named Kitty but I have experience training and caring for Border Collies, American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, Irish Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, Poodle mixes, Great Danes, and a Wolf-German Shepherd hybrid. I am knowledgeable about canine body language and how to remain calm around anxious/fearful/aggressive dogs as well as how to redirect dogs from potential conflicts. I own and operate an event-services business which runs primarily on the weekends, allowing me to offer dog care Monday through Friday and on certain weekends as available. I am able to care for dogs according to their owner’s needs and requests. This may include administering medication, changing diapers, feeding, walking or just spending time with.

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was 3 years old, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I have hands on experience with large breeds and am confident handling bigger dogs with different temperaments and energy levels. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the importance of patience, comfort, and attentive care as they age. I put a lot of love and care into every pet I watch. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry baby, so I treat every dog as if they were my own. Making sure they feel safe, loved, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work full time but have a flexible schedule where I work from home somedays. My partner also works 5 minutes from our house and is able to help with potty breaks during the day. We spend a lot of time in our yard or walking the canal in nice days and would love a wagging tail to join us. We have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood to go on walks. We love to go to the canal and spend time outside. We have a full finished basement perfect for any size dog to enjoy!

“Jared was great. When I first reached out, he got back to me through Rover within a couple of hours. We spoke the next day and set up a meet and great so we could meet him and he could meet the pups. He brought his filfriend Tanya, as she may be helping which I appreciated. We were away for 2 nights and parts of 3 days. When the dogs met him they warmed up very quickly to both he and Tanya, so it was set. We left some written instructions to reinforce what we had discussed and Jared was great. Through the app, he would check in when he was coming and their with our pups. We were going through a heat wave with high humidity and he let me know the conditions in the house, we left the AC on. And I had him adjust, so the dogs were comfortable. About: I have many years of pet sitting experience as well as three dogs myself. I am training my second service dog (who will not accompany me while I work… don’t worry!) as well as dabbling in the AKC show and sport world. and this summer I will be enrolling in a vet assistant certification program! I have both owned and cared for every size, from XL to XS. truly nothing scares me… medical needs, reactivity, a pet who needs some extra time and care to adjust, or your average golden who loves everyone! There are very few pets i am not comfortable with… and I prioritize honesty and safety above all else. early mornings and late nights work best for me! I am free most weekends and will always try and be as flexible and honest as possible. In a clients home, I will always ask as many questions as needed to familiarize myself with the environment and your pets favorite play, sleep, and hiding spots. an emergency plan is something i always love to establish, and I am never scared to send a quick text to clarify something!

I have owned many cats and dogs during my life. Now that I have more time available, I would love to take care of your animals. My home is currently pet free, but pet friendly. I also have the ability to come to you. I have experience caring for elder pets, as well as administering medications as needed. I love all animals as if they are my own and can't wait to make some new animal friends. I am currently retired and have my days and nights available for your pets. I am in a quiet neighborhood for walks and also close to major highways to travel to you with a dependable car. I would follow any care instructions given, as well as providing the animal routine and attention. Food, exercise, potty breaks, and rest are given as instructed or needed. I would care for the animal like it was my own.

“Ixia was absolutely wonderful with our Pointer/Pit mix, Crimson. This was our first time using Rover, and our first time leaving our dog for an extended period of time. (We had to take a trip out of state on short notice.) From the get-go, Ixia was very professional and attentive during our phone consultation - taking notes, checking details, learning the little intricacies of Crimson's routines. Crimson also has a torn ACL, so special care has to be taken during daily activities to ensure the injury doesn't worsen. Ixia was very reliable, responsive, and communicative with us the entire time. She was on time for every visit, sent us pictures of our pup, played with her, spent lots of time in the yard, and even went above and beyond to accommodate some extra drop-ins we hadn't originally planned. We were very impressed and thankful for the loving care that she provided our animals and by her professionalism and communication. 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future.
