About: I love dogs, the larger the better! I have watched dogs for more than 7 years now. I have looked after dogs from Miniature Poodles to Coonhounds. I have taken care of new born puppies all the way up to senior dogs that are blind. I have taken care of a chow that was super strong and most people couldn't walk her, but I could. I have even helped while my dog gave birth to her puppies. I currently own a Hungarian Vizsla and a Treeing Walker Coonhound they have a ton of energy and needs a lot of attention. I would love to help with your furbaby! I am currently working for Amazon. So I do work Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-8pm. I am delivering way out of town so I won’t be able to be to take out your pup for walks or potty breaks during that time. I will give your pet the attention they deserve and not ignore them. I love playing games with dogs and taking them on long walks.
“Great to know our cats were well taken care of. Cabbage enjoyed the company and playtime. Our Milo was quite bashful and didn’t appear much. Shenice kept us well updated on her visits.”

“Juliet did an awesome job!! She came to our house several times per day, Friday through Sunday. She took really great care of our dog!! She is dependable and really sweet person!! Our dog was fed, walked, and he felt really comfortable with Juliet. I would recommend her!!”

“Kaitlyn offered tremendous service on short notice. Not only did she ensure our cat was well cared for during a home visit, but she also went above and beyond in sharing pictures of our pet, her food and litter areas, etc. Highly recommended!”

“Luella took such great care of my pup! My dog tends to be nervous around new people so Luella and I did a meet and greet before I left for the weekend. My dog seemed to take things well and I couldn’t be happier! Luella sent photos each visit assuring my girl was okay while we were away.”

“Addison did exactly what i needed her to. She took care of my dogs and was super flexible with my crazy work schedule. I could tell when i got home by how happy my dogs were that she treated them good! I recommend her to anyone looking to get their dogs cared for!”

About: While I grew up with many cats, I also had the opportunity to have the most lovable, goofy, and needy yellow lab for a few years. While he lived in my house, I helped feed him, take him outside/on walks, and give him his medicine too. I've gotten used to dealing with particular pets, including tricking them into taking medicine they might not want to, and getting them bundled up to go outside in the winter. I'm currently a long-term substitute teacher, so my mornings and afternoons are busy, but I'm free in the evenings and on the weekends. During the summer, I have some days/weeks where I'll be out of town, but generally am free throughout the day. I always try to go slow when meeting someone's pet for the first time, allowing them to take the time they need to feel comfortable around me. I always make sure to sit down and make myself smaller so I don't scare them, and I give them plenty of time to sniff me and my things since I do have a cat at home they would smell on me.
“Maisie was a great pet sitter! We’ll definitely request her again when we need someone! She checked in on our dog, and was on time, and did everything we asked her to do. We loved seeing all of the pictures she sent with each visit! Before the visit, she was very communicative and appreciative of the notes we gave her. Definitely recommend!”

“Breanna always does a wonderful job taking care of my dog. This time I just needed her to drop-in a couple of times during the day. I appreciate that she spends some time with Nola when she is here and sends pictures and updates. She always provides excellent care, whether it is overnights or drop-ins.”

“Lauren was amazing! Would highly recommend! She went above and beyond for our pup. She sent many amazing updates and photos and it was so appreciated. She took great care of our dog Moose and I could tell he felt so comfortable with her.”

Kaitlyn took good care of my cats while I was on vacation. She is very dependable and punctual with her visits. One of my cats hid (I knew that would happen) when she came but was provided with the food and water that she needed. My second cat bonded very well with her and got the TLC on top of being fed. I would certainly recommend her and I will use her in the future.

Addison did exactly what i needed her to. She took care of my dogs and was super flexible with my crazy work schedule. I could tell when i got home by how happy my dogs were that she treated them good! I recommend her to anyone looking to get their dogs cared for!

We loved seeing all of the pictures she sent with each visit! Before the visit, she was very communicative and appreciative of the notes we gave her. Definitely recommend!

Allison was awesome! This was my first time ever using a sitter, so I was a little bit skeptical at first. But we had a few meet and greets before I hired her, and she was amazing with my cat! She sent me videos and photos and texts when she would come by and feed the cat, and that helped put my mind at ease. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, and I would love to hire her again in the future!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
