“Thank you Shenice for stopping in to take care of my two cats and my plants. Everything was looking good when I got home. I'm sure the cats would be excited to see you again.”

“Alex was amazing! She took care of my 11 week old golden retriever Auggie. I am very protective over my baby but I knew he was in good hands with her. I was very pleased with her communication, her professionalism and care for my little man. Highly recommend her for any of your pet needs! 10/10”

“This was our first experience with Rover and Juliet could not have been more impressive. She followed instructions beautifully and we very much appreciated the daily updates. She has a natural affinity to cats, even young rambunctious ones like ours. We’ve already asked her to come back.”

“Kaitlyn offered tremendous service on short notice. Not only did she ensure our cat was well cared for during a home visit, but she also went above and beyond in sharing pictures of our pet, her food and litter areas, etc. Highly recommended!”

About: Hi! I’m Miah! I am a mostly online senior at Minnesota State University-Mankato who loves any excuse to get outside, especially with pets. I grew up in a house with three dogs which has given me a ton of experience with walks, feeding routines, playtime, and managing different energy levels and personalities. I am comfortable handling multiple dogs at once while keeping things safe and organized. While my house back home only had three dogs, I have house sat for a home of 5 dogs several times so I am confident in managing larger groups, sticking to routine, and making sure each dog gets the right amount of attention and care. I enjoy being active and would love to get some time with your pup in the great outdoors! (I am also well versed in care of cats) Just ask:) I am currently a senior at Minnesota State Mankato with a mostly online schedule. I’m looking for any excuse to be active outside, and doing so with dogs is SO much better. I have a very flexible schedule that I can work to your needs. I prioritize safe and structured walks in pet friendly neighborhoods and parks. I always use secure leashing, stay aware of my surroundings and avoid unsafe or overly crowded areas. I am able to tailor each walk to your dog’s energy level and comfort. Whether your dog wants a calm walk or a more active route, your dog’s safety and happiness always comes first.

About: I have pet sit dogs for several years including pups with special unique needs like diabetes, anxiety, etc. I am familiar with medication administration and I love dogs of all sizes! Especially pits :) Currently I work four days a week, so I am fully available Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays at any timeslot or evening visits any day of the week. I am available anytime during those three days which allows for focused pet care! I like to create a calming environment and then match the animals energy. I am totally down to play fetch or with toys, as well as being quiet company for someone who is maybe more shy. I respect animals boundaries very well and find it vital to build trust with them in order for a successful visit.
“Maisie was a great pet sitter! We’ll definitely request her again when we need someone! She checked in on our dog, and was on time, and did everything we asked her to do. We loved seeing all of the pictures she sent with each visit! Before the visit, she was very communicative and appreciative of the notes we gave her. Definitely recommend!”

About: I love dogs, the larger the better! I have watched dogs for more than 7 years now. I have looked after dogs from Miniature Poodles to Coonhounds. I have taken care of new born puppies all the way up to senior dogs that are blind. I have taken care of a chow that was super strong and most people couldn't walk her, but I could. I have even helped while my dog gave birth to her puppies. I currently own a Hungarian Vizsla and a Treeing Walker Coonhound they have a ton of energy and needs a lot of attention. I would love to help with your furbaby! I am currently working for Amazon. So I do work Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-8pm. I am delivering way out of town so I won’t be able to be to take out your pup for walks or potty breaks during that time. I will give your pet the attention they deserve and not ignore them. I love playing games with dogs and taking them on long walks.
“Breanna is very kind and attentive! She sent pictures every time she stopped in and spent a good amount of time playing with and giving our cats attention. Would highly recommend her!”

“Luella was absolutely an amazing cat sitter for us! She would send updates regularly, pictures and videos. It was so nice to be on vacation and know that our cat was well taken care of while we were away! Thank you Luella!”

About: I recently moved to live in Mankato after finishing college at Gustavus. I grew up on a farm taking care of animals from birth to passing. I have always been a very passionate animal lover and owner. I have previously owned cats, goats, and chickens. And I have taken care of dogs, horses, turtles, and fish so I have a wide variety of knowledge. I currently work a full time job Monday through Friday. But I am open during the weekday evenings for drop in visits and dog walking and I am open on the weekends to house sit. I would not be able to host a pet since I live in an apartment. However I can come to the house of the owner. I am able to match the animal’s needs whether that is relaxing on the couch or playing outside.

About: I’ve been caring for pets longer than I can remember - from helping grandma with her horses and barn cats to spoiling and training our own dachshund puppy and two amazing kitties - I am well equipped for any situation. Some background for me: I was born and raised in Alaska! There I took care of cats of varying abilities/disabilities/age, dogs of all sizes and abilities/disabilities/age, and fish! There’s been instances where I have stayed over a month to look over a special needs cat, and dug my car out after a heavy snow to make sure a hyper puppy gets a good hike in! I’m adaptable and communicative - you can be sure that I’ll send you plenty of photos and videos of your pet while you’re gone! Now I’m here in Minnesota to finish college, start life with my new husband, and take care of the pets in Southern Minnesota! I’m currently still a student! But I have Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the weekends for the most part completely open! Otherwise, I will make sure to check in on your pets between classes to ensure they don’t go more than four hours alone. I can’t have a pet in my apartment right now 😭 but when I’m back home in Alaska, we had a fenced area for our dog while she was still with us, and we have two full-time indoor cats. We love to spoil our animals - lots of love, kindness, and a patient environment. Just positive reinforcement and steady routines over here!
About: I have had a dog ever since I was born, so this has created a huge love for dogs for me. I am so used to walking and taking care of dogs and now that I am away at college I am missing that puppy time! I have years experience of pet sitting other dogs that come from different background and have more difficult care needed. I have also walked shelter and neighbor dogs in the past! I am in nursing school right now so I have random days that I might have meetings, class, or clinicals but this is my only job so I have time to spare! I am willing to take any extra steps needed to take safe care of your dog in your own home. Giving them love and treats is always helpful!!
“Ninna provided the perfect place for Poochie to stay. I was a little worried beforehand because we needed him to stay for more than a month. Yet Ninna and her husband were really nice when I met them and they seemed confident that everything was going to go well. And it did go well! She sent quite frequent updates and pictures. He acclimated right away and was having a great time checking out all corners of the apartment, viewing wildlife out the window, getting alone time, and (mostly) snuggling with every person and animal in the place. I will definitely have Ninna watch any of my pets in the future.”

Mankato cat parents share their Rover experiences
Juliet was great! She clearly has a good amount of experience, especially with cats. She responded promptly to the booking request and asked good questions upon meeting, and was very friendly. My cats warmed up to her immediately! She completed the booking as requested including stopping by my house on-time every day and sending photo updates. I would recommend Juliet to my friends and definitely would book her again.

Allison was awesome! This was my first time ever using a sitter, so I was a little bit skeptical at first. But we had a few meet and greets before I hired her, and she was amazing with my cat! She sent me videos and photos and texts when she would come by and feed the cat, and that helped put my mind at ease. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, and I would love to hire her again in the future!
