“This was our first experience using Rover and hiring someone and it was a great experience. After our first meet and greet we felt more confident and reassured. Juliet met all of our expectations and beyond. Our pet is shy, but over daily reports from Juliet, we could see our pet Robin having fun with Juliet and all her needs met while we were away. Juliet communicated in a timely manner, problem solved, and was intentional in playing and interacting with our shy kitty. We will definitely recommend Juliet!”

About: I am a recent college graduate living in Mankato. I grew up on a farm taking care of animals from birth to passing. I have always been a very passionate animal lover and owner. I have previously owned cats, goats, and chickens. And I have taken care of dogs, horses, turtles, and fish so I have a wide variety of knowledge. I currently work a full time job Monday through Friday. But I am open during the weekday evenings for drop in visits and dog walking and I am open on the weekends to house sit. I would not be able to host a pet since I live in an apartment. However I can come to the house of the owner. I am able to match the animal’s needs whether that is relaxing on the couch or playing outside.

“Luella took such great care of my pup! My dog tends to be nervous around new people so Luella and I did a meet and greet before I left for the weekend. My dog seemed to take things well and I couldn’t be happier! Luella sent photos each visit assuring my girl was okay while we were away.”

“Sydney is absolutely lovely. I loved the pictures and videos she sent me. I looked forward to her messages. She is kind and playful with my dogs. The most important thing to me was she made a connection with Roxie. Roxie is shy and often won’t leave her crate for pet sitters, but she did for Sydney. I will book with Sydney again!”

About: I have had plenty of dogs growing up. At one point I had 5 labradors and a papillon. My family used to foster dogs for the marines before they went to training. Right now I have 3 middle aged labs. Also for the past two years i’ve been pet sitting a cat and dog named Missy and Lenny. Lenny is a German Shepard and Missy is an Angola I currently work part/full time at another job. So I take care of pets before and after work since this a side job for me. As I said I’ve had a lot of pets in the past. I try to provide enough love and comfort for them to feel safe. As well as giving them enough exercise to be happy and healthy.

“Wonderful! She obviously really cared about my pup and I was so thankful he had so much attention! Plenty of great updates and always timely.”

About: I am able to do any pet of any size! I have been pet sitting/dog walking for 7 years now and have worked in animal resuce. Since I have worked with animals of all sizes and breeds, there is not an animal I would turn down care for. I am also great if you have a lot of pets and are looking for someone who can handle them all! I am familiar and comfortable with animals that have special needs. I have experience with behavioral issues, medications, blood glucose testing for animals with diabetes, and other special needs. I also can accommodate longer stays such as vacations or work travel! I have a lot of flexibility and a mode of transportation so I'm also open to the surrounding areas or if you live out of town. I am a full time student but have a lot of flexibility! I have multiple no class days where I am available and can do drop-ins between classes on days I have them. I am great at accommodating any needs your animals may have. I believe that all animals have unique needs and should be prioritized to make sure they are as comfortable as possible! I am very familiar with animal body language and am extremely patient/willing to work with every animals quirks. They are just like people and have unique personalities!

“Alex is awesome!! She is great with my 4-month old Husky pup, and he's always so happy to see her. She sends me pics and updates during her stay!! Alex has a ton of experience with dogs, and it definitely shows. Thanks Alex!”

About: I’ve had dogs at my farm my whole life (two up until I was about 10.) Currently we have a german shepherd husky mix! She’s an outside dog who has TONS of energy! When my aunt and uncle leave I take care of their dogs! 3 labs (one of each) and one is only about a year old! I work part time usually during the evenings! Dog care is a big priority for me so making sure they have everything needed is a must! I usually work 4-6 hours! Pets will have access to a big back yard on a leash (not fully fenced in!) In a clients home I will be respectful of their property while taking care of their dog to full-fill their direction!

About: I’ve taken care of my Tibetan Mastiff since before I can remember, and I’m my go-to neighborhood dog walker/caretaker. I love all shapes and sizes of dogs! I’m currently a part-time student at MNSU, so anytime during the weekday apart from Monday and Wednesday afternoons for boarding and walking is entirely open. Weekends work for specific dates and times. I have a reliable mode of transportation and I love taking care of animals. Whether it’s bathing, feeding, walking, or just sitting with a dog, I love to be there. I have grown up with a fear reactive dog, so I have experience with reading dog’s body language and reacting accordingly.

“My dogs can be a bit nervous and overwhelming for some people but Denni did great with them! She took her time and went very slow to make sure they felt comfortable! We are so appreciative she was able to check in on our boys while we were gone!! :)”

About: I have experience with pit bulls, yorkies, dachshunds, chihuahuas, labs, golden retrievers, huskies, shelties, and more. I’ve taken care of pets all of my life and have a special love for them. I currently am flexible in my schedule and have some availability in many times of the day depending on the needs of my own dog, but still have a lot of availability. I take excellent care of pets like they are my own. A pets safety and happiness is most important to me and I will do everything I can to take care of them.

“Ally is awesome! Our dogs loved her and so do we. Looking forward to having her spend more time with Shelby and Cobra.”

About: I have taken care of pets (mainly dogs) for many years. I have expertise in walking, training, and making sure your pet gets the best care on a regular basis. I am a college student and I work part-time. I am free on weekdays after 6 pm but open every weekend from mornings to evenings. Depending on my school schedule I can possibly make a quick stop between classes to help out. I care for pets how their owners care for them. I provide them with a caring personality and follow their routine and owner's regulations. That could be going on walks, feeding them, and playtime. Most importantly I want them to be comfortable with me so do that I think it is important to do things with them that they are familiar with.

7. Celeste T.
“Celeste is a lifelong friend of mine. She is amazing with animals. As a child I would go to her house and watch how she would care for her pets. I admired how she taught her goats to trust humans. You could walk in the barn and they would all come running looking for pets. She's good with not only her own pets but other people's. She loved spending time with my dog as a kid. We would play with my dog together both inside and out in the woods. If she lived near me she would definitely be the first person I'd ask to pet sit if I needed it. I know my pets would be happy and healthy upon my return.”
