I work part time, but I have an empty nest, so I have time for visits and playtime for your furry family members. About: I have grown up around dogs since I was a kid. I am accommodating to your animals needs and schedule. I’ve helped 10+ other families prior to this app. I have dog sat for most 2.5 weeks straight. I go by your feeding schedule and potty breaks are often! I have summer clinic Monday-Thursday until June 26th so I will be out of the house for roughly 6 hours. I am done with clinic in July so I will just be working. The longest your fur baby will be alone would be about 6 hours and that’s only on Wednesdays and Thursdays! My husband and I will be home all day on the weekends other than the occasional leaving for groceries or church. I have a pretty big fenced in backyard, so plenty of area for them to enjoy and get their energy out! We don’t have any pets in our house so they will get all the attention. We have a 1 story house, no stairs, for those with older dogs. Our neighborhood is very walkable so they can get adequate exercise.
“Izzy was so good with Harley ( our senior dog) and very thorough with all the details of Harley’s care. I didn’t worry a bit because her photos of Harley showed he was happy and well taken care of. I definitely will use her again!!!”

“It’s only week two but Punky and I couldn’t be happier!! We really lucked out finding Sydney and Lauren. I’m so grateful and have such peace of mind knowing my girl is in the best hands. Punky is so proud of her report cards and I’m so proud of her! Sydney treats her like her own baby and even teaches her new tricks and commands. Looking forward to many more visits! 🐶💕”

About: I don’t just “watch” animals — I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for the entire time you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, personalities, and little details because I truly want every pet to receive the best care possible. Your pets will be treated like family, with lots of love, patience, and attention every step of the way. I’m currently working a part-time job Wednesday–Saturday, typically until around 5 PM, which still gives me plenty of time to dedicate to the animals in my care. I make it a priority to ensure every pet gets lots of attention, playtime, walks, love, and proper care throughout the day. On my days off, I also have an even more open and flexible schedule to spend quality time with them and accommodate their needs. I am moving into college in mid August to Niceville, Florida so bookings can be from May through early August and I will often be back in Louisiana from time to time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always strive to keep their routine as normal, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe in their own environment, so I make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, walks, meals, and care based on their specific needs and routine. I’m also very respectful, responsible, and attentive while in clients’ homes, and I make communication a priority by providing updates and photos so owners can feel at ease while they’re away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mandeville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
