About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood, and I've spent decades caring for them through virtually every stage of life—from energetic puppies learning their first routines to senior dogs who need a slower pace, extra patience and a little more help getting through their day. Over the years, I've cared for dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities and energy levels, including my own dogs and those of friends and family. I'm comfortable with puppies and the additional supervision, consistency and frequent potty breaks they require, as well as older dogs who may need shorter walks, more rest, mobility accommodations or simply a quieter environment. I'm retired and spend much of my time at home, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. Unlike a sitter who may be away at work for eight or ten hours, I'm generally available throughout the day for outdoor play, potty breaks, feeding, companionship and individual attention. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to adapt to each dog's normal routine as much as possible. I am the primary caretaker of my own dog, Freddy, he’s 3 years old with lots of energy, friendly with other dogs and loves people. I recently moved back to my hometown of Mandeville, LA, and now have plenty of time and flexibility for pet sitting. I’m excited to meet new clients and, most importantly, make some new (furry, scaly, feathery, or hoofed) friends along the way! Since moving back home to Mandeville, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I am currently taking a break from school, so I am able to work pet sitting and walks into my daily routine without having to rush between other commitments. I’m able to give each pet plenty of attention and can adjust my schedule around their individual routines, including feeding times, walks, medications, and other special care needs. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pets are doing while you’re away! I’m happy to help with almost all of your pet-sitting needs, whether that means a walk around the neighborhood, a quick check-in, or spending more time with your pet while you’re away. With my background in Animal Science, experience working as a veterinary assistant, and years of caring for animals, I am prepared to recognize and respond appropriately to many common situations that may arise. About: I’ve owned dogs, cats, and many other pets since childhood. I worked at a doggy day care, and I spent 14 years making my best friend, Buddy, my second job. He wanted for nothing, and neither will yours! I’m looking to work up to 40+ hours a week doing pet care. I can do early mornings, evenings as late as 10pm, and as many overnights as you need! About: I’ve taken care of several dogs since I was a kid in High School. When I was 17, I bought my own puppy, a German Shepherd named Nana. I worked with a professional dog trainer to ensure she had proper training and manners. Since then, I’ve trained 3 other pets using those same skills and have had great success. I’ve had 5 dogs (purebreds and mutts) in my life - all from 8weeks old to senior and I’ve seen it all. Every stage of their life has been the best stage, but it’s never enough time with them. I am married to my HS sweetheart and we have two kiddos and one fur baby. I work full-time from home. After drop off, I can do morning walks/check-ins as well as lunch time. I’ll gladly do an evening walk and night night tuck in if desired. I am a busy momma, but doggies are my heart and soul ♥️ I treat all pets with the utmost care and as if they are my own fur baby. Dogs bring me so much joy and I can only hope to return the feeling and show them how much they are loved and cared for. A happy face and a wagging tail is always my goal. I have cared for two dogs since I was 16 and I lost them recently to old age . After a year I took in a cat who was abandoned at my parent’s motel . She made sure to give Nyla her breakfast and dinner as well as her medicine. And Nyla is a handful considering she is 62 pounds, but Marisa did great!”
