About: When it comes to pet sitting, there are countless options available, but what truly sets me apart from others is a unique blend of experience, passion, and personalized service. I OFFER TAILORED CARE FOR EACH PET : I understand that each pet is unique, with their own personality, preferences, and needs. I take the time to get to know each animal, allowing me to tailor your care approach. Whether your baby is a shy kitty that needs extra gentle coaxing or an energetic dog that requires plenty of exercise, I customize my time with your furbabies to ensure each of them feel safe and loved. TOP NOTCH COMMUNICATION SKILLS : I prioritize open and honest communication with my clients. I keep you updated with regular messages ,photos, and videos to assist in reassuring you that your furry family members are in great hands. Being able to provide detailed reports on your pet's behavior and well- being makes me a reliable choice. EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING : My background in pet care began at a very early age. I've also studied animal psychology and communication and that coupled with my empathy and compassion towards all animals allows me to stand out from the rest of the sitters on here. I am well versed in animal behavior, health, and safety protocols, enabling me to handle emergencies calmly and effectively. My expertise gives you the peace of mind knowing your furbaby is cared for by someone with vast knowledge on the animal kingdom. COMPASSIONATE AND TRUSTWORTHY : My genuine love for animals shines through in everything I do. My clients can sense my compassion and dedication, fostering a strong bond of trust. I prioritize the emotional well-being of not only the animals I care for but also the pet parents. I take your decision to trust me with one of your, if not most precious blessings in life very seriously and would never do anything to compromise that in any way. I know how stressful it can be leaving your babies and I do everything I can to make this experience as easy and as pleasant as possible. FLEXIBLE AND AVAILABLE : I understand you may have a diverse schedule with varying needs. I offer flexible scheduling options and last minute availability. The ease of my adaptability ensures I can accommodate a wide range of requests, making it easier for you to find the right care for your pets. ENGAGING ACTIVITIES AND SOCIALIZATION : I go beyond basic care by providing engaging activities and socialization opportunities for pets. Interactive playtime, daily walks/runs, and enriching exercise that stimulates your furbaby's mind. This ensures your pets are not only cared for but also entertained and happy. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: I am in the developmental stages of founding a non-profit organization that caters to elder animals ensuring they're loved and cared for during their final days. This is leading to a collaboration between the senior adults in our community who are looking for companionship as well. If you're interested or know someone who could benefit from this service then please let me know! PERSONAL TOUCH : Lastly, my approach is marked by a personal touch. I remember specific details about each pet, such as favorite toys, treats , or routines, and I always incorporate those into my care. My attention to detail allows you to feel confident that your pet is receiving the best possible care. A sneak peek into our DAILY ROUTINE: Morning care: Every morning I take the dogs for a 30 minute or longer walk. I believe that a good start to the day sets the tone for both pets and their parents. Upon returning to the house it's breakfast time and then a play session. Midday Visits : For clients that need daytime check-ins, I schedule visits that include feeding, playtime, and bathroom breaks. Evening Engagements : In the evenings, I dedicate time to provide additional walks, cuddles, and play sessions, ensuring that the furbabies receive ample attention and care. This is essential for their emotional well-being. Through out the week I maintain flexibility in my schedule to accommodate your pet's unique needs. Whether it's regular visits, overnight stays, or special requests, I am here to support you and your pet's routine. In addition to my routine, I truly believe in fostering a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for your furry family. I am passionate about providing the best care possible and treat every pet as of they were my own. About: Hello & thank you for your interest in my pet-sitting services. Some info for you about me: I have over 20 years of experience in animal care and veterinary assistance with multiple species. Plenty of hands-on experience with furry four-legged family members Going on vacation? Need an extra hand with things on a short-term basis? Broke an ankle and your dog really misses the daily walks? I'm here to provide assistance as an organized, trustworthy, and experienced resource. Reach out with any questions or to book an introductory meeting. Looking forward to hearing from you! I currently work from home as a freelancer with extended project time frames so I can set my own schedule outside of infrequent travel requirements. I do prefer to set up an introductory meeting for first-time clients. Let me meet the pets I will potentially be caring for in as relaxed and familiar an atmosphere as possible, take me through their routines, and then we can both ask questions as they come up during that process. I would also take notes during that time and could provide a write-up of that so that full expectations are laid out between us. I do not post pets/homes/certainly not people to any social media channels. I am happy to provide photos/proof of visits to clients via text/email if requested. I do not post my own face on social media (with very rare exceptions).

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I frequently watch dogs for family, friends and co workers. Any dog I meet instantly becomes an extended part of my family and is treated with love, care and respect. Safety of the animal is a priority for me above all. I am currently in the military and work as a healthcare provider. I have 2 hour lunches between 11-1pm and leave fro work at approximately 7 am returning at 5 pm. I can be flexible on some of those hours as needed. I have a fenced patio with a potty area. There is also a walkway through the housing area that has grass available. Plenty of toys. There are cameras in the house and outside as well as a safety gate in front of the back gate to ensure no accidental escapes! Dogs are always monitored. If I am not home my personal pets are placed in my bedroom and any visitors get free reign of the living room. I have a kennel should a dog require kenneling when I am not home or if they kennel at night. Food times are 7 am and 5 pm. I do not do free feeding due to my dog having allergies. Water bowl is checked daily. Plenty of toys for everyone!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
