About: I've always loved animals, and several dogs have "owned" me over the years. I lost my bestest girl about 2 years ago and I still mourn her. Now that I'm retiring, I can't think of a better way to spend my time than helping care for your furry family members. I have experience with senior dogs, as well as giving meds. I've watched pets for friends and family for years. I'm currently retired and only working for a few hours on Tuesdays - and am home by 1:00 on Tuesdays, so I'm able to give long walks and snuggles. I'm able to stay in your home any day of the week. I live alone so your pet/s will have all my attention. I live in an apartment and will walk your pup several times a day with at least one long (@2 miles) walk if weather and their health allows. I allow pets on the furniture and on the bed if they are used to that. I'm happy to send update pics during the day. I admit that I have lots for my favorite pet friends, but I don't often do selfies, so the pics on here show pets that I've cared for doing activities, but don't include me.

I only have cats and they don’t need any care other than attention, since their food and litter are automatic. It’s possible that this led Charlotte to think I didn’t want updates about the cats. Day 1 of 2 I reached out to check in and I heard from Charlotte that Meatloaf did not respond well to her the first visit—hissed but did not become aggressive—but that he warmed up to her on visit 2. Definitely will set up introductory visits each time which I have learned will avoid this issue. Charlotte stopped responding after the first day, so I have no way of knowing how the second day of visits went. I was pretty worried about whether Meatloaf was mean to her or if the cats were being checked on. I’m not even sure if she saw my shy second cat at all—just any more communication would have been good. I don’t want to tank any ratings if my cats were a problem but I have no idea what happened.”

About: I’ve always had family dogs growing up which was an excellent learning space for dog’s body language, basic training and grooming needs. Currently I have a senior dog so I’m familiar with complex medical/feeding routines. Additionally, my family member has a severe disability which requires a service dog so I’m aware of the different needs of on-duty compared to off-duty service dogs. Aside from caring for my own fur babies, a cat (4 years old) and a dog (13 years old), I have open availability for your fur babies! I keep a close eye on my animals’ behavior which allows for treating most issues with home care before a vet visit is needed with a larger problem, for example regular ear cleaning.

She was always prompt in her communication and arrival times, made best friends with the pups immediately, and asked great questions in order to best understand their routine. She provided detailed communication regarding her visits including unsolicited confirmation of instructions being understood and followed (so reassuring!), always with the most adorable photos of all the fun they’d had. Oral meds for our senior dogs were no problem, as she’s knowledgeable and experienced in all kinds of animal care—so much so that she was even able to give wellness updates on my backyard chickens! Highly recommend, and will absolutely be seeking Savannah’s services again the next time we need care for our diverse group of pets!”

About: I have taken care of pets since I was young. Being a Boston terrier owner, plus having two cats has made my love for pets grow so much. In the past I have sitted for retrievers, labs, cats, doodles, and more. I would love to watch, walk, feed, and give your animal the love and attention they deserve when you are unable to!
