“Chevaughn did an amazing job! One of my dogs (Toffee) is 'very' skittish & does not warm up to new people well (it often takes weeks - sometimes months - for people just to be able to pet her). However, when we did the first meet & greet, Toffee was curious & got close enough to sniff him, which I thought was a great sign. But then... Chevaughn was actually able to pet her before leaving. She was wary, but let him. It kinda shocked me a bit. We had met with 2 other potential sitters & Toffee wouldn't get near them. With one of them, she wouldn't even come inside the house from the yard, not even for a treat, so long as the lady was there. Chevaughn has great energy, though. He was calm & assertive, moved gently around Carlee & Toffee, and they both became fast friends with him. While we were away, he even sent video of her licking his hand. That was a huge deal... Chevaughn was reliable, on time, consistent & most importantly, he is kind. Next time we need a sitter, he's our guy and I highly recommend him for taking care of your pups..”

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 10 years old, and over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me with the special care of their beloved pets. For over a year, I worked in a lab-like setting providing daily care to a wide variety of exotic animals, including reptiles, amphibians, small mammals and birds. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning, and general husbandry for each species. I also have experience caring for senior animals, including administering medication and performing nail trims, so I'm comfortable with pets who need a little extra attention and care. I currently work part-time and am finishing up my Associate's degree, which gives me a good amount of flexibility during the week to care for your fur babies. On days I work an 8-hour shift, there may be a slightly longer gap between potty breaks, but I always plan ahead and communicate clearly so you know exactly what to expect. I give excellent cuddles and scritches, and genuinely enjoy enriching their day with play. I have taken care of multiple cats and dogs, and also solo animals in 9 different states. I am no stranger to following a pet owners routine, and ensuring 100% that your animal is comfortable. Senior pups are very dear to my heart, as I had a 15 year old rescue that took medicine throughout the day for CHF. I work remotely and travel full time around the country to pet/house sit (sometimes out of country). With that being said, my schedule is completely open to stop-in’s or walks throughout the day. I am open to over-night sits with enough notice in advance. I will follow the pets routine exactly how the owner would like. Walks, stop-ins, and any regular scheduled activities would be entirely in compliance with the owners needs. I am open to providing real-time updates throughout my time with the animal in order to further the peace of mind of the owner.
