“We were very happy to have Amelia check in on our two dogs while we were away for a week. We asked her to come mid-day to walk them because my son didn't get home til late. She added daily pictures and gave me updates, also answered any of my questions right away. She was always punctual and reliable. I would hire her again!”

About: Hi! I’m Renee. If you are looking for more than just a dog sitter, you are in the right place. I am a Veterinarian graduated from Mexico with 9 years of experience. While I do not hold an official license to practice clinical medicine, perform surgeries, or prescribe medications here in the United States, my medical background means your pet will receive the safest, most knowledgeable care possible. What I offer: *Puppy Care Specialist: I know how fragile 2-month-old puppies are. I design strict potty training schedules, enforce safe socialization, and keep them mentally stimulated without risking their health. *Special Needs & Senior Care: I am fully qualified to administer oral medications, monitor chronic conditions, and handle senior pets with mobility issues with extreme gentleness. *A Safe Environment: My apartment is a pet-proofed, cozy home. I focus on high-quality, closely supervised care. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my absolute priorities. You will receive frequent updates, photos, and the peace of mind that a veterinary professional is watching over your furry family member! I work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to dedicate my time, play, and care to your pets. I am fully available for boarding on weekends, and Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 AM. Your pet will rarely be left alone! My apartment building features spacious, secure green areas perfect for your pet to exercise and play. About: I've taken care of pets since I was a teenager. Pets that belonged to my sister to pets that have belonged to my neighbors. I have experience feeding and walking dogs. I'm currently in between jobs at the moment, but that'll change in a little while. So, take advantage while you can. Of course, when I do get a job, I'll still make time to care for your pet! I'm always dependable to feed your pet on time and walk your pet for however long is needed. I also enjoy playing and interacting with your pet.
About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life. About 10 years ago I decided to Foster dogs. After a few years I started working with medical dogs from the shelter. I also enjoy happy go lucky pups and adult dogs. A friend suggested I work with Rover. After reading up on their services it was clear this is something right up my alley. The dogs I babysit will have inside and outside time but no more than their family requests. In the past I did adoption events at various locations for an Animal Shelter and was able to get to their needs that I have put in place. Working with Rover has given me the opportunity to meet more 4 legged friends and their families. I am available for up to two dogs. I offer a discount for stays over 7 days and discount for two dogs. I no longer foster and treat my yard for safety. I would love to be there for you while you are away. A typical day starts with potty time and a romp in the yard. Then inside for water and food. Usually another trip outside to do their business again. Then inside or outside to play. I have a bowl of dog food and 💦 out all the time My Rovers are rarely put in a kennel unless they are chewers or the family requests that they need to be at bedtime only. Other than that I have few rules. I just want your baby to be comfortable and happy. I do work part time but I have someone in my home 24/7. I know dogs prefer a private home and not a kennel. I rarely kennel a dog but let the owners dictate what they prefer. The dogs spend very little time outdoors. I have a fenced in yard that they can wonder around or stretch their legs with a healthy run. I can provide a warm environment with lots of love
“Angela is amazing ❤️ I highly recommend her. She took such wonderful care of our Cat. I can see in the pictures she sent that our cat was happy. We will definitely be requesting Angela again. She really has a way with animals 💜”

About: I have a ton of experience pet sitting and checking in on pets throughout the day as well as dog walking. I also have a lot of experience working with senior aged animals. I am very confident in my skills and would love the opportunity to help out anyone who needs it. I am super flexible with hours and always available. I am currently on summer break from school so right now I have all the time in the world. Once September starts I will have to go back to school but I only have a few classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so I would only be away from, the animals for two hours at most. Caring for pets in their home is my preferred way to do it because they are familiar with the environment. I have experience watching pets in all types of and different types of outdoor access. So even if there is no screened in fence, I am able to deal with that.
“Amanda was an incredible help while I was away taking such great care of my cats! She went above and beyond, not only making sure they were well cared for but also leaving my home even cleaner than when she arrived. Her daily updates were so thoughtful and reassuring, giving me total peace of mind. Plus, she has such a great vibe—I feel like we’d get along so well in everyday life! Thank you so much, Amanda!”

About: I have grown up on a farm where I have acquired most of my skills and knowledge of animals. At a very young age I started training and showing dogs in obedience, which soon led into me showing horses in jumping and dressage. I attended Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre in West Virginia where I achieved many certifications. Now, 32, I still train and show dogs and also still stuck on those horses! Animals have become my backbone and without them, I think I would be lost, like many of us would be! Besides working my job and being a nursing student, I am always doing something with my dogs or horses. Be it training, having fun, or just going about our daily routine. Fitting in the time to care for others pets while they are away is easy for me as I have help on the farm to care for my pets! I will take care of the feeding, watering, cleaning up, play time, walks, etc. I am here to keep your pet as comfortable as possible while you are away. I can care for dogs, cats, birds, farm animals, exotics, etc. I'm that been there type of guy, but my knowledge, skills, and years of experience are here to help keep your pet safe! I am certified in CPR, Horse Health, Training (dog and horse), Teaching, Riding Master Level IV, and Safety.
“Working with Kayla was great! They handled our pup with confidence and care and was incredibly flexible and accommodating when we had to make last minute changes to the scheduled visits. Highly recommend Kayla's services and look forward to working with them again.”

About: I love animals and taking care of them. I had a dog for 15 years before having to put him down. I love being active with dogs and playing with them and walking them. I will give them all the attention they deserve. Walk them as much as they need and love them like they are my own. Dogs are intelligent animals that deserve to be treated with respect. I have experience in dog sitting and walking dogs.I will follow your rules for your dog. I look forward to meeting and speaking with you about the care of your dog(s). Have a great day! I am currently working full time until 7/3. I will then be switching careers and have more availability. I will begin full time employment in September again! I will care for the dog as if they are my own dog. I will follow the instructions provided. I will go at the dogs pace to build a bond with them!
About: After growing up with pet dogs throughout my life, I became the go-to pet sitter for our neighbors/friends/family members when they headed out of town. I currently have my own gentleman giant and volunteer/foster for his rescue! There's almost nothing I haven't seen when it comes to dogs quirky behaviors, but try me! Mi casa es sus casa! I am just starting with the rover platform, so availability is open & I'm willing to discuss anything within reason. In my home pets are taken for frequent walks, and during nice weather we hang out on the patio. In other homes it would depend what you are comfortable with and what the pup is used to!

About: My passion for dogs has been with me since a very young age. As a child, my dream was to be a vet because of my passion and love for animals. I have 20 years of service, and my approach to caring for my dogs at home has always been holistic and natural. I've reversed my dog's diagnosed disease naturally and have saved his life naturally when vets have told me to put my dog to sleep. I'm thorough with my dogs’ routine, medication, diet, and cleaning eating. That makes me highly prepared for the dogs I tend to. Fun fact: My family and I own 17 pets! Usually, when everyone goes on a family trip, I'm the caregiver for all our pets at once. Hopefully, the background I give of my experience gives you peace in choosing me to watch your babies 🐩🐶🐕 I do freelance work; it's my main source of income. Therefore, it’s easy to create my own schedule and very flexible days and hours. It will be easier for you to book with me as I strive to work with your schedule and needs effortlessly. Personally, with my own dog, I'm highly attentive. Even though we have a backyard, I strongly believe in always being present and attentive when taking your dog out to potty. Even in your own backyard! Anytime they are outside, I will be present. I also think it’s important to interact and be present regularly with them; they need attention and love, too. I make sure to spend time with my dog when I come home and make time to play, cuddle, and show him affection . Also, it's important for me to take him out of the house. Even if it's a short walk, cruising in the car to pick up errands or food. It's important for them to explore and experience different environments.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
