I have grown up around dogs my entire life. I have also grown up raising birds, cats, and rabbits. I had my first pet-sitting business when I was just 11 years old. I am a current dog and cat mom. I aspire to be a dog trainer and have my own business one day. I have successfully trained my own dog in a variety of different skills and I am eager to gain even more knowledge to work towards my career. I have 3+ years experience working in a dog daycare/boarding facility. I have experience working with dogs of all sizes and all temperaments. I also have experience working with dogs with special needs.

Since I live with other people currently, I can only pet-sit in clients’ homes. I do have a very friendly 5-year old doodle who loves to play with other dogs, so I can always bring him along to keep your pet company. I follow my clients’ instructions to the tee whether regarding potty schedules, feeding schedules, bathing, walking, playing, training, etc. I can also do any additional services if need be while caring for your pet at your home.

Vanessa was great! I was recovering from a hospital stay and needed all day sit in at my home to care for my lab. Vanessa was the perfect match and my dog loved her instantly. Highly recommended and I will book again as needed.
Vanessa has been a great sitter for our pups! She is very attentive and asks questions as needed to make sure she is able to provide the best care for our pups! We know are pets are in great care with Vanessa and will continue having her watch our pups in the future.
I am a service dog handler/trainer and Vanessa is one of the few people I trust to take care of my dogs. She has even helped me with training because I was having a hard time getting my service dog to understand focus and she showed me new ways to teach him. Vanessa is knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and I feel safe leaving my lifelines in her care.
I had a few months where work would require me to be away from home for a few more hours than usual, and Vanessa was helpful stopping by mid-day to let my dog out for me. She would take him out and spend a little time playing, as well as provide me with updates letting me know she stopped by so I wouldn't have to worry. Very flexible as well since sometimes my schedule would change last minute. Would highly recommend.
Vanessa has more love for animals than I have seen since Dr. Dolittle! She has helped me learn and treat my pets better, doing research and helping me get what is best for them. I am not always the best cat/dog dad, but Vanessa has never let me down, or them down for that matter.
I am the manager at Dogtastic Fun in Woodridge Illinois. Vanessa was an employee for almost three years until she moved. Vanessa is the most responsible and hardest worker i know! She was constantly giving our boarders attention, hand feeding them when they wouldn't eat, making sure they always had fresh water and fixing their blankets so they would be comfy. She always walked each dog extra and also did some training. We were so sad to lose her! I would totally trust her with my dogs and would know they were getting extra attention and love!

Schedule
I just moved to the area and I am currently looking for a full-time position in the animal care field. In the meantime, I am looking to find work through Rover to stay caught up on finances. I do plan to continue using Rover for side-work after finding a full-time job. I also believe it could help me gain experience towards my career goals. My schedule is very open at the moment. I take my dog on walks every evening and have training sessions for an hour every day.
