“Lara was great. This was our first time leaving a new kitten with someone, and Lara was very easy and relaxed with him...she let him come to her (which he did right away?). Great communication and nice photos/videos to let us see how he was doing.”

“Darrah stayed at my house and took care of my senior doggy for several days. She communicated very well, and the house was in excellent shape when I got back. It felt good to know someone responsible was caring for my dog while away. Thank you Darrah!”

About: I have enjoyed helping my parents and neighbors with animal and house sitting over the years and managed anywhere from 1 - 2 independent pets up to 5 pets at a time (dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, reptiles). I am currently a part-time student looking to extend my animal care experiences to pets in your home. I specialised in animal behavior while studying neuroscience at the Claremont Colleges and will be very attentive to your animals needs in my care. I also have experience administering topical/oral medications as scheduled. I am continuing my education part-time and available to help mostly afternoons. Please contact me 1-2 weeks in advance for HOUSE STAYS otherwise I am flexible to assist with regular potty breaks, walks, feeding, etc. with 1-2 days notice. When caring for animals in clients homes I will be sure to follow any set guidelines or recommendations provided to me. I enjoy meeting animals energy levels with exercise (walks, outdoor play), toys, training reinforcement, or simply good pets. I will be respectful of you and your animal's space to reduce stress and encourage normal/beneficial behaviors.

“Grace was amazing. She came to meet me and Priya before my vacation, coordinated with another friend to be there when Priya was getting dropped off, was super responsive, and sent a ton of pictures. I'm confident Priya has a great time while I was out of town!!”

“Kivi was amazing with my sweet dog Nala. This was my first time asking Kivi to house sit, and she truly went above and beyond. Not only did she take Nala on great walks at the beach, but she hung out with her in her garden, sent me lots of pictures, and did all the things that Nala loves. I’m always a little nervous leaving my baby behind, but for a second I wondered if she was having more fun with me being away haha. I can tell Kivi is a genuine animal-loved, and she had a very kind and trustworthy nature. What more can you ask out of a house sitting experience?”

“David was fantastic with our dog while housesitting for us. He is very professional, attentive, and sent daily updates. He made sure he understood our dog's schedule, preferences, and personality traits during the initial meeting. We returned to a neat house and a very happy pup. I would certainly book him in the future!”

“Lisa was fabulous with my girls. She said great pics every night and let me know they were cared for. She made sure they had the right food and the right blankies glitch and all the love she was wonderful and I will use her again.”

“Sofia is the best dog sitter/ house sitter we’ve ever had! She is super communicative and made sure our dog was the happiest pup, playing fetch and lots of hikes! She also tended to our chickens and looked after our home. She also sent us lots of pictures and updates so we knew our pup was having a great time while we were away. Above and beyond! Highly recommend!!!”

“Jasmine was great at dog sitting and caring for Frank over a long weekend. She’s experienced with lots of dogs, is very responsive and communicates well. I would definitely book Jasmine again.”

About: I’ve had over 35 years experience caring for dogs, cats and even a couple bearded dragons. I’ve house trained 3 puppies and participated in training classes for both the dogs we currently have and a couple in the past. Over the years I’ve cared for countless pets for my friends and family and I’d love to care for yours. My husband and I own a small business so I work for myself and set my own hours which are minimal. I’m mom to two adult children so I have plenty of time to devote to your pets. I’m centrally located in Santa Cruz and I’d be happy to come to your house for dog walks or pet sitting. We have two friendly dogs and one cat at home to keep your dog company with a completely fenced in yard and plenty of time for frequent walks.

“Amanda did a great job taking care of my two dogs up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She was unfazed by terrible weather and road conditions during her stay. One of our dogs is recovering from knee surgery. She was familiar with the procedure and asked lots of questions. She followed his special care instructions perfectly. She sent lots of photo updates and took the dogs on lots of walks. She also helped take care of my fish after I remembered I forgot to set the fish tank timer. She communicated quickly and effectively and left the house spotless. The dogs were happy and mellow when we returned home. I will definitely ask Amanda for help taking care of my pups in the future.”

About: Hey! Glad to see you here! My name is Morgan, and while I’m new to Rover, I’m not new to animal care. You can see my past experience on the IG account I’m currently building @morgansnugglesyourdog 🐾 If you want someone who aims to understand your pets, respects their routines, is intentional, and takes a thoughtful, behavior-focused approach to care — welcome! I’m a calm, capable sitter who tailors care to your pet’s unique needs, energy level, and emotional comfort. Whether your dog is a mellow senior, a wild child in training, or just your average well-behaved snugglebug, I offer structure, enrichment, affection, and the kind of consistency pets thrive on. I believe all animals deserve to be heard and deserve intentional care and structure. ❌ Things I don’t do: • Dog parks • Chaotic group situations • Handing out treats “just because” • Pushing past an animal’s comfort zone • Ignoring or minimizing behavioral needs ✅ Things I do: • Personalized, temperament-based care • Adventures (if your pet is up for it!) • Daily enrichment and mental stimulation • Intentional structure and calm routines • Respecting your pet’s boundaries and setting healthy ones • All the snuggles (when invited!) I also have hands-on experience with cats, small animals (like guinea pigs and rats), reptiles, and even farm animals like pigs and ducks. If it has paws, claws, hooves, or scales — chances are, I’ve cared for it. When it’s a good fit, I love incorporating dogs into my daily life — whether that’s a nature walk, a car ride to town, or just relaxing outside. But I never take dogs to dog parks or chaotic spaces. If something feels too stimulating or simply isn’t right for your pet, we skip it — no pressure, no push. And if your pup is the stay-home-and-cuddle type? That works for me too. I always ask about behavior, routines, and preferences ahead of time and spend the first day or two getting a read on what your pet is capable of and comfortable with. My goal is to help every animal feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for in a way that honors who they are. I work from home full time! I have several clients but the type of work allows me to be extremely flexible for your pets! I know while some pets can just hang out while I work, others may need more care, enrichment or a closer eye - I can and will accommodate accordingly. Just let me know what your pet needs ❤️ When sitting at your home I prefer to stick to the spaces your pets are most comfortable in or used to as well as stick to a similar routine. I find this helps with separation anxiety and any confusion the pets may have since their favorite human is gone! If possible, I like to take dogs for a longer walk on the first day to help us bond and help me learn how they behave. For other pets, this may look more like a longer playtime, enrichment activity, etc. I want to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible with me in their space so that first day is important to me!

“Abby was a great sitter for my 8 year old shepard mix. She was responsible, caring, flexible and really made me feel like my sweetie was taken care of. I highly recommend Abby for sits and walks. I'm going to recommend her to my friends and will definitely be booking her again. Thanks Abby!”

“Sue did a fabulous job for us and our dogs. We were very comfortable having Sue house sit. Sue did a wonderful job of making our dogs feel welcome and well taken care of. Looking forward to having Sue in our house again. Already booking for our next time away!”

“River was amazingly helpful and kind! I needed someone fairly last minute and I received a response right away. River communicated throughout the entire visit, sent photos, and said kind things about my pup! This was the first time I used a pet sitter so I wasn’t sure how my dog would react to someone new coming over but they clicked right away! River seemed to know exactly how to handle things and build a connection. Very impressed and happy with the whole experience!”

“Lindsey was wonderful!! She provided consistent updates on our fur babies and went above and beyond for us especially because Chewie developed some big hot spots right before our trip and Lindsey provided extra care for him, making sure they were cleaned and applied medication. She also gave Chewie a nice bath and groomed him when we got home and he was a nice clean handsome boy.”

“Sara was great, very patient with my dog who was super anxious after we left. She took him on huge walks. She left the house spotless and even left us a delicious batch of homemade granola. Would highly recommend.”

Vanessa was an excellent house sitter! She was easy to communicate with through all phases of booking and house sitting. While I was away she sent pictures of my kitties and gave daily updates. I arrived home to a spotless home and two very happy cats. I would love to have Vanessa care for my cats and home again.
