“Frances was Wonderful taking care of my babies while I was on vacation. I was gone for 5 days, and have two dogs….a German Shepherd and a Boxer, and they were well taken care of. I would highly recommend Frances for any of your dog sitting needs and will definitely use her again!”

“Katelyn was amazing with our 3 pups! She kept us updated the whole time and sent lots of pictures. She even checked on our two cats with no extra charge! Our animals loved her and seemed to be very comfortable with her while we were away. We will definitely have her stay with our pets in the future.”

“Brionna was so good with our girls. They absolutely loved her. She made time to play outside with them and treated them so well. We also received pictures of our girls every day. She did overnight house sitting and treated our house with the utmost respect. She even washed the sheets before she left! I couldn’t have been happier with her services.”

“Juliann was fantastic with our pets and our home! She took excellent care of all four pets and was great about sending pictures and updates. And the pets LOVED her! We will definitely be calling on her again!”

“Absolutely sweetheart!! I trusted her with my two polar opposite dogs and she did absolutely amazing!! Stayed with them all day so they didn’t have to be in a cage all day. She was very responsive and send updates throughout the day. 10/10 would recommend and rebook again!!”

“I've got nothing but good things to say! This was my 1st time using Rover and I had a little anxiety about it, but Mason & Christian did a great job! I would recommend and will be a repeat customer the next time i have to go out of town.”

About: I have had dogs and cats in my life since I was a child. Every animal I meet likes me quickly. I have a knack with them. Even when they don't like other people, I win them over. For the last 5 years I have been caring for my senior, diabetic, miniature poodle. That requires being vigilant about what and when he eats as well as giving him an insulin shot after each meal. I can take care of high-maintenance animals as well as easy-going pets. I'm currently working part-time from my home. I have plenty of time to spend with my furry friends. I am available during the day, or evenings. For the right client, I would be willing to stay in your home overnight. I walked dogs daily for 2 clients when I was living in Bangkok, Thailand. They trusted me with keys to their home so I could come and go during the day M-F. There was never a problem.
About: https://www.rover.com/sit/kaitlr39001 I have about 4 years of experience with medically fragile dogs as my dog is a diabetic and takes insulin and requires a prescription diet with frequent potty breaks as well as one other dog who is on daily medications. My other senior pup has discospondylosis so daily medications are something I am very very familiar with as well as being more careful and slower with pups. I currently do part time work from home so I am almost always available to pet sit or board or in home pet sit or even walk your animals. I am a HUGE advocate for animal safety regardless of breed. I love all animals and would never put my dogs or any other animal in harms way.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs my entire life and understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. As a dog owner myself, I know that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, outdoor adventures, or simply relaxing and getting extra attention, I strive to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I provide regular photo and message updates, follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, and work to maintain your pet’s normal routine whenever possible. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress experience for your pet while giving you peace of mind. My availability varies depending on my work schedule, but I keep my calendar updated and only accept bookings I know I can fully commit to. I value reliability, communication, and making sure every pet receives plenty of attention and care during their stay. I prioritize safety, routine, and a low-stress environment for every pet. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requests. I also provide regular photo and message updates so owners always know how their pets are doing. Every pet is treated with patience, kindness, and respect while in my care.
“Itzia was incredible! She went above and beyond for are fur babies. Itzia's communication was excellent, she took lots of photos and videos that she sent to us throughout her stay. She made sure are babies we were well taken care of, and that are home was clean. She even picked up the dog poop during her stay, and took Daisy on walks to get her exercise. I highly recommend Itzia!”

About: I've had dogs most of my adult life and have provided care from the puppy phase to end of life. Dogs bring me incredible joy, and I consider it a privilege to spend time with them. I sometimes forget people's names I meet, but I have never forgotten a dog's name! I just adore them. I am available to pet sit at your home overnight. I also offer other services including 30 minute dog walks and 30-45 minute drop-in visits to check on your dog, feed him, and provide play time. I work full time Monday - Friday and usually get home about 6pm. I am available evenings, overnights and weekends to pet sit or provide drop-ins and dog walks. I always had sitters stay in my home when I had a dog because it helped my dog to have his own environment and routine when I was away. I am available to provide pet care in your home to provide this same comfort for your dog.

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.

“Thyra did an amazing job house sitting with our two doggos over the Thanksgiving holiday. She kept us updated throughout the day with photos and we came home to two very happy dogs. 100% recommend Thyra!”

“We had never used a stranger to keep out two cats. Amanda came for a meet and greet prior to staying with tiger and panther. After that we were no longer strangers. Amanda likes all animals. She sent updates and photos. We will call Amanda next time we go out of town!”

“Carissa did a great job house and pet sitting. My dog and cat are very well behaved but also very attached to me and can struggle with anxiety when I’m away. Carissa obviously took great care of them, evidenced with a daily photo/video update while I was away, and they were calm and happy when I arrived home. Would definitely book with Carissa again!”

“Johnnie was great. This was my first time having Johnnie keep Rocky, but I’ll definitely use again. She took great care of him and kept me posted on how things were going through messages and photos.”

“Heather was a great sitter for our home and dog. She took the time to meet us ahead of time, learn about our pup’s quirks, and was respectful of our home while we were away. She was communicative and sent us the perfect amount of updates to give us peace of mind. We will definitely keep her in mind for future bookings. Thanks again, Heather!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,087 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lynn. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lynn walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lynn maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lynn choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lynn. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
