“Her visit summaries are hilarious and our cats seem to love her! Courtney followed all the written instructions, gave them open window sessions during the drop-ins, and managed my difficult tabby and loved her despite her many, many flaws. Will definitely ask her to visit again!!!”

“Marley loves her sitter. Shelli does a great job, especially with applying her thyroid medication in her ear twice a day. It takes a gentle hand and an understanding of animals. She has been so helpful and gave us a stress-free trip away knowing Marley is being cared for. Thanks again Shelli. We hope to use you in the future.”

About: I had three rescue dogs of my own, two have since passed but we have taken my MILs dog since her passing so we have two dogs currently and three cats! I love animals and have been caring for them since I was a child growing up and always having a pet to care for made me very dependable and well mannered when it comes to training. I am experienced with animal rehabilitation and am comfortable with all animals but do have two young children in the home. Dogs that stay with us will have a designated heated and cooled space to sleep in. I am home all day during the day, am able to let animals out at any time as I have a large fenced in yard. We have cameras and a covered deck as well for complete safety and security for the animals. I am available for stop in visits, walking or general care. I work from home so am available to care for my children and pets. I have a flexible work schedule and am able to adjust it to meet my needs. I love animals, truly and honestly. I am patient and consistent and will ensure that your pet is cared for, safe and loved while under my care.

About: I've been pet/house sitting for eight years now via word of mouth. All sizes of dogs, cats, and even bearded dragons. I believe part of why I can connect with animals well is getting to know each pet's personality and individual needs. I'm experienced in daily walks, feeding, playtime, cleaning, basic medication if needed, and plenty of love/attention. I understand how important routines are to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and relaxed environment, I'm committed to that reliable and attentive care. I'm more than happy to update you with as many photos and messages as needed for your peace of mind. Lastly, in case of an emergency or even simply needing a resource, my sister works at a vet clinic I can always contact. I'm currently part time as a barista and will be gone typically 5-7 hours (8 at most depending on length of drive) on some days. My schedule varies on which days. Pets will be cared for in your home by not merely following instructions but also paying attention to detail, maintaining routine, and building trust with them. I'll make sure they have a safe environment, fresh water, and a clean/tidy space, making your time away from them as stress-free as possible. Exceptional pet care goes beyond meeting the bare minimum. I always emphasize caring for that pet's needs, so whether that's cuddles, playtime, long walks, or simple quiet companionship, I'm happy to match their personality/energy to create an enriching experience. Every owner, pet, and house is treated with respect and professionalism.

Looking forward to being your purr-fect pet care provider :) Full-Time Pet Care Provider. I own a car so travel is quick and convenient if necessary. My house is large enough to host pets comfortably and I have a huge backyard that is gated. It is of utmost importance to me to create and maintain and safe, healthy environment for all pets in my home. About: I have taken care of lots of dogs over the years, including my aunt and uncles cute little frenchies Biko, Liko, Remmy and i also have hosted a the craziest frenchie Hugo at my house for a week for my pastor, still trying to convince my dad to get a dog so in the mean time i enjoy taking care of yours. Side note my girlfriends dog rip is my new best friend and he's prepared me for all types of insanity. I'm working part time at Tim Hortons in Saline and there's a big gap most days between it and my evening commitments and it would be perfect time to take care of your pup. I treat all pets like they deserve to be treated, like family. I have always been careful to make sure that the dogs i've taken care of not only dont get out and run away leaving the family devistated, but also that they are really cared for and treated well so they can live healthy happy cute little lives

About: Growing up we always had pets in my home. We’ve always had 1-3 cats and had a dog once (the heartbreak of her loss kept us from getting another). I’ve had the responsibility of walking my dog 3 times a day, feeding the dog and the cats twice a day, and spending extended periods of time with them. I recently moved to A2 from Chicago and am working full-time as an occupational therapist in a hospital, looking for a part-time gig. I would love to look after others’ pets during my free time from my studies. I am a very calm and detail-oriented individual. I live with my partner of 4 years and my senior cat I’ve had for 19 years. I love being with both cats and dogs and am looking forward to tending to their needs and providing a very fun, welcoming, and loving experience! I work full-time during the week but am available for early morning visits before work, evening visits after work, and most weekends. If you have a specific schedule in mind, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to see if we can find a time that works! I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I’m experienced caring for cats and dogs of different ages and personalities, including senior pets. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal schedule, administer medications if needed, and provide regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: Professionally, I have been dog sitting for about 2-3 years now. I currently do not own any animals, however, I have had dogs previously. I love dogs and plan to open a doggy daycare business one day. Dogs are like children and need to be loved and cared for as such. If given the chance I would do just that. Treat the pets as I would want someone else to treat mine. I know how to feed, bathe, walk and clean properly behind animals. For overnight visits the house will be as clean as you left you it. There is huge park in the back of my apartment building where it is very pet-friendly. The area I live is a very grassy like environment and has more than enough room for dogs and animals to play and exercise. Walk/potty break 7AM Breakfast by 7:30 AM Lunch: if there is a lunch time it’ll be by 2:30 PM Dinner: by 6PM Playtime: all the time in between Animals will stay leashed any time we are outside unless we are in the dog park and owner says it’s okay to unleash. I also am an active jogger so I can keep up with younger and old dogs. I’m a chill sitter that vibes off the dogs energy.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. When I ran my company, my employees used to bring their dogs to work, and I loved having them there! I now care for pets full time and recently joined Rover. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone while you’re away. I like knowing the little things about your pup, like which toy they look for and where they like to be scratched. If they love fetch, we have plenty of room to play in my big backyard. If they’d rather take a slow walk and curl up beside me afterward, that sounds like a pretty good afternoon to me, too. I’ll follow the routine they’re used to so they can settle in and feel at home. Pet care is something I genuinely love, and I’m fortunate to be able to dedicate myself to it full time! My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give the pets in my care my full attention. I enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going for walks, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company. I know how much our pets mean to us, and I want every owner to feel confident that their furry family member is getting the same love, attention, and care they would receive at home. I absolutely love spending time with animals! One thing I’ve learned over the years is that every pet has a personality of their own, and I seem to have a natural instinct for understanding what makes them happy. Some dogs love playing fetch, chasing a Frisbee, or being challenged to learn new tricks. Others love swimming in our lake, which is something we can enjoy together with their owner’s permission and proper supervision. And if they don’t like water, that’s perfectly fine! We can go for walks, play their favorite games, or find something else they enjoy. Then there are those who would rather just relax, cuddle, have their belly rubbed, or curl up in their doggie bed with someone nearby. I love that just as much! I believe the best way to care for animals is to pay attention to their individual personalities, respect their routines, and let them enjoy the things that make them happy. Whether I’m caring for a playful puppy, a senior dog, or a cat who prefers a little independence, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. After all, they’re part of the family!

About: I walk 10,000 steps a day and would love to talk your dog along for a long walk. I've taken care of pets my whole life and love to volunteer in local shelters. I can teach your dog a few tricks, get all their zoomies out with a nice run, and give them all the frisbee, ball, tug of war, hide and seek, etc. playtime that they might want. I can also provide extra care to anxious, reactive, older, post surgery, and/or disabled pets. I have some dog training experience and can help your dog be more comfortable with other dogs, other people, address triggers, reduce pulling on the leash, etc. During our walks, your pets will play, relax, and make new doggie friends all the time with careful introductions and lots of happy moments. Looking to build long term working relationships with my clients and new pet friends. You can always reach me when I'm pet sitting if you ever have a question, I am always just a phone call or a text away. My schedule is very flexible and I like to be outside as much as possible when it comes to spending time with pets. I am avaliable on weekends, weekdays, and can be open to last minute changes. I always make sure the pets have food and a fresh bowl of water. After that I like to build some trust with sniffs and treats, see if they know any tricks. Once the pet is comfortable it's time for a walk and/or playtime to get all the pent up energy out. I think playtime is the most happy time for pets so I always to engage in a few different kinds of games until I find one that they love. This way the pets are happy and comfortable and can happily nap for the rest of the day after we are done.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Lyndon

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Lyndon is $39 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $25 and $39 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 1,922 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Lyndon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lyndon. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
