She was very professional and performed all items that were listed. I felt comfortable and relaxed having her supervision while on vacation.â

About: Iâve taken care of animals starting with my neighbor who relied on me for care taking, to my aunt who has her own dog business! I also have furbabies of my own which I care for; two dogs and one cat. As of right now usually am free after 6. Moving forward my schedule should be more open. Just shoot a text and see if we can figure something out đ In my home my dogs are leashed and we go for walks around the neighborhood. My cat stays indoors, but we enjoy playing and cuddlingâ sheâs old. My doggies and I get out of the house sometimes and love to go on rides to the park
About: I care for every dog as if they were my own, with patience, kindness, and lots of affection. I strive to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while youâre away. Whether itâs playtime, walks, belly rubs, or quiet companionship. Youâll receive regular updates and photos. When we have boarding services available, for the safety and comfort of every guest, we board dogs from one family at a time. Whether you have one dog or several, theyâll enjoy our full attention and a calm, low-stress environment. We currently have no pets of our own. Currently, Iâm available for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday drop-in visits, boarding and walks. Once the school year begins, Iâll be available evenings after work, as well as weekends and holidays. For drop in visits I prefer serving the Waynesboro, Fishersville, Stuarts Draft and Crozet areas so I can provide reliable, timely care. I am considerate and respectful in your home and carefully follow care instructions. My goal is to make the experience happy, safe and loving for your dog.

About: Iâve had pets my whole life. I love dogs and cats. I love animals and have no problem spending my free time taking care of and playing with some fur babies. I have a pug that I've had since she was 6 weeks old. I also have a cat who I took in after his old owner abandoned him. I currently work full time Monday-Friday 8-5pm in Charlottesville. I am more than happy to stop by after work if needed or if you want me to stay at your place I can take care of the babies before heading to work to make sure they are fed and worked. Can work with a lot of schedules. I do make and sell jewelry so there may be a few weekend days where my availability is limited due to already committed to a craft show In my house I try and take my dog out every 2 hours. In the summer my pug is sensitive to heat so we do short walks around our driveway. She is a bit spoiled and will not go outside in the rain so I do also have experience cleaning up puppy pads and encouraging their use. My cat is both indoors and outdoors so he goes to the bathroom outside but also have a litter box inside I clean every few days for him.
âSammi was wonderful! She took great care of the cats, kept us updated on some health issues, and even helped reprogram one of the RFID feeders from afar when one of the cats lost their tag. We really appreciate her going above and beyond for us and our boys - thank you!!!â

âPam took excellent care of our kitties- I could even say we returned to find our home and fur babies in better condition than we left them! She made sure our grouchy old lady always ate and was brushed, and she spent time to try and bond with her too. Pam kept their boxes spotless and entertained our two younger heathens with treats and brushing every day. Everyoneâs fur is soft and clean and they all are well fed and seemed happy and calm when we returned! No urgent âwhere have you BEENâ meows like usual when we leave them for a shorter time! Pam even suggested that she put music on the radio for them and did and I think they really liked it! Overall excellent to over the top care provided for our furry family and respect for our home too despite the icy treacherous conditions of our driveway!!â

I live in a small neighborhood with places to go for walks and have lots of backyard space. Perfect for playing fetch with your pups!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lyndhurst
Kathryn was my Cat sitter for six days recently when I was out of state. I have an old cat with a lot of needs and takes medicine and I was worried about leaving her because she hadnât done well before with other Pet Sitterâs but with Kathryn it was amazing. She is so knowledgeable and kind and kept me informed everything and the best part is that when I returned, my cat was doing well. I could tell she wasnât too stressed and has gotten quickly back into the routine of me being home again. Iâm so lucky to have found Kathryn and I would recommend her to anyone. I hadnât taken a vacation in a while due to my cat and how she normally does not do well when Iâm gone, but Iâve already decided that Iâm gonna try to take another trip this summer because I know I have Kathryn now Thank you, Kathryn for everything Molly Pallavicini

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lyndhurst. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
