“Thank you so so much!!!!! And thank you for tidying up around the litter box it must have not been functioning properly that or they are getting sick of us not being home :( sorry!!!!!”
“Kathryn was absolutely amazing taking care of my little guy and gave me updates and pictures! She’s super caring and I know she does her best that every pet is well taken care of. Also her house was perfect for Apollo. He loves to explore and watch/chirp at birds and her home was perfect for both! Apollo and I would be happy for Kathryn to pet sit again!”
“Katherin was fantastic! Super nice in person, I immediately felt very comfortable leaving Kofi in her hands for my 2 week trip out of the country. She was super at communicating and it was clear from her messages and pictures that Kofi was thriving while I was gone, which made it easy for me to enjoy my traveling more without worrying about him while I was gone. When I came back my home and most especially Kofi were in fantastic shape. He was happy to seem, but did not seem stressed or anxious at all. :) Would definitely recommend Katherin and I'll be lucky if I can have her hang out with Kofi again when needed. Thank you so much, you're a godsend!”
“I love getting the pictures each day and I feel like my kitties are getting the best care. I forgot to leave a list this time but she read my mind and handled everything perfectly! Thank you!”
“Responded fast even when the booking was last minute, which I deeply appreciated! Destiny took great care of my dog Sadie, and I will definitely rebook if needed in the future.”
About: I have extensive experience in taking care of animals, including both household pets and exotic animals. My responsibilities have included feeding, grooming, administering basic medications, and ensuring the animals’ living spaces are clean and comfortable. Additionally, I have experience observing animal behavior to monitor their health and well-being, as well as providing exercise and social interaction to keep them happy and active. This hands-on experience has given me a strong understanding of animal needs and an empathetic approach to their care. I am a full time animal caretaker so I spend most of my time do this kind of thing! Walking, running or snuggling. I do it all. Animals are my passion. I have a dog park at my apartment complex that my dog personally loved spending time walking and sniffing around! I also have a dog park about 10 minutes away from where I live that I like to take my animals to walk around.

“Abygail has been accommodating and detail oriented while caring for Maya. She has been so consistent and loving to my cat, that even though it’s the longest i’ve been apart from her, I’m not worried because I know she’s in such good hands. Book with Abygail if you need someone you can trust with your pet.”

Sophia is a lovely young woman who performed drop in calls with my two cats over a three day weekend. She was always on time did exactly as I had asked in the instructions. Her communication, notifications, report card and pictures were prompt and left my mind at ease knowing that my two cats were being well taken care of! I highly recommend her to be sure!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
