Denver is almost 14 and so giving him the love and attention he’d get as the only dog in the home was really important to us, and not having to worry about him getting stressed out by younger dogs who constantly wanted to play for 6 days. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”

On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: I am currently a college student studying zoo and wildlife biology, and I hope to have a career in either wildlife rehabilitation or working at a zoo. I have a good amount of experience with animals; I have been around animals my whole life, my grandfather was a veterinarian, and I have been pet sitting since high school. I also worked as a kennel attendant at Augusta Valley Animal Hospital. I currently volunteer at the Humane Society and have at the SPCA as well, walking dogs and performing other tasks. I am hoping to do some pet care over the summer to earn some money and get some more experience. I will be doing an internship 3 times a week, so I am only available 4 days a week. I live a little bit out in the country, so we have some land and a private and safe road for walks. There is very little traffic, so it is a peaceful area. I have not yet hosted a client's pet in my home, but I have a lot of experience and can follow detailed instructions for your pet to provide them with the best care.

About: Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide maximum companionship and plenty of exercise. Boarders or daycare get 2-3 walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) feel free to bring your pet’s crate if you’d like! I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. One of my rescues was a very sick 3-month old puppy that I raised, so I am well-versed with puppy care. I do not currently have pets living in the home, so your dogs will have the run of the place! I own my own home on a quiet circle street. My yard is an expansive quarter acre of grass with access to miles of mowed walking paths off my backyard. When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on a “Welcome Walk” to get acquainted in neutral outdoor space. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I look forward to taking care of your wonderful pets! I work from home, so I am flexible for drop-ins, last-minute needs, or regular walks, and can give your dog consistent companionship…and some fun of course! About: I’ve had a dog my entire life except for a few very lonely months in 2020 after I lost the love of my life, Romey, the naughtiest lab with the best sense of humor. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. About: I’ve had experience with many types of animals since I could remember, which could be around 13-14 years. Our family is very animal oriented and it has been for a few generations. My great grandma raised, trained, and did dog shows with many different types of dogs. My grandma has always had animals as well as my mom. This ranges between birds, bunnies/rabbits, snakes, lizards/bearded dragons, birds, dogs, and cats. We almost like them more than people :) Pet care fits into my daily routine including every other weekend for my California king snake and bugs every other day with daily greens/fruits for the bearded dragon. 3 meals a day for the dogs, clean water for all animals, and the cats free feed expect some wet food. I can care for your pets in different ways including, of course, breakfast lunch or dinner, potty time outside on leash or back/front yard, and attention. I can also offer baths, and medication to certain animals if needed.

About: I’ve always been an animal lover. I have raised 2 cats and 3 dogs from babies but have been around numerous animals. I currently have a mastador so no dog is too big 🙂 I will love your babies like my own while you’re not around to. I’m working full time on a rotating shift so I will be caring for pets on my off days, this will leave availability open for visits all day. I will care for your pets as instructed in your home. I work long hours and know the need for reliable and safe care for our fur babies. They will be in loving hands while you’re away.
About: I care for every dog as if they were my own, with patience, kindness, and lots of affection. I strive to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, belly rubs, or quiet companionship. You’ll receive regular updates and photos. When we have boarding services available, for the safety and comfort of every guest, we board dogs from one family at a time. Whether you have one dog or several, they’ll enjoy our full attention and a calm, low-stress environment. We currently have no pets of our own. Currently, I’m available for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday drop-in visits, boarding and walks. Once the school year begins, I’ll be available evenings after work, as well as weekends and holidays. For drop in visits I prefer serving the Waynesboro, Fishersville, Stuarts Draft and Crozet areas so I can provide reliable, timely care. I am considerate and respectful in your home and carefully follow care instructions. My goal is to make the experience happy, safe and loving for your dog.

Amy is extremely knowledgeable and worked with us on maintaining consistent training, feeding schedule, and nap schedule for Dot. “We were so happy to leave our boy, Denver, with Jesse and Emily. Denver is almost 14 and so giving him the love and attention he’d get as the only dog in the home was really important to us, and not having to worry about him getting stressed out by younger dogs who constantly wanted to play for 6 days. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
