About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something that comes very naturally to me. I recently said goodbye to my own dog after 18 wonderful years together, and that experience deepened my understanding of the love, patience, and attentiveness our dogs deserve at every stage of life. I’m currently offering dog boarding in my home only. I’m not accepting walks or drop-in visits at this time. This allows me to be fully present and create a calm, attentive environment for the dogs in my care. Friends and family often call me an “animal whisperer” because of my intuitive connection with animals. I spent two years volunteering at an animal rescue in Colorado, working with dogs, cats, and even rescued farm animals, which gave me experience with a wide range of temperaments and needs. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routines, and preferences so they feel as at home as possible. I work from home Monday through Friday, which allows me to be available for your dog’s needs throughout most of the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods, and I’m able to provide regular attention, potty breaks, and a calm, consistent presence. My flexible schedule makes it easy to accommodate different routines, whether your dog is active and playful or prefers a slower, more relaxed pace. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive home environment where your dog can truly relax. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, along with a peaceful indoor space designed to keep dogs comfortable and at ease. Since I work from home, I’m able to supervise throughout the day and keep a close eye on each dog’s needs and comfort level. I take time to understand your dog’s routine, temperament, and preferences so they feel secure and at home. I keep my space clean, low-stress, and structured, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or crate routines if needed. About: I genuinely love animals, and spending time with them never feels like work to me. I’m an active person who loves walks and playtime with energetic pups, but I’m equally happy giving a cat some quiet company and affection or simply respecting the space of a pet who prefers to do their own thing. While I’m new to offering services through Rover, I’m not new to pet sitting. I’ve cared for pets through TrustedHousesitters, including cats, active dogs, and senior pets with different personalities, needs, and routines. I’m also happy to share reviews from my previous sits. I’m a pet mom myself to Daisy, our sweet, social, and playful Golden Retriever. We’re not looking to add another pet to our family right now, but Daisy loves other dogs, so welcoming a friendly pup into our home gives her a chance to make new friends and enjoy some meaningful playtime too. As a pet parent, I know how much peace of mind comes from knowing your animal isn’t simply being “watched.” I want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. That might mean long walks and playtime, lots of snuggles and attention, or giving a shy or independent pet the space and patience they need to feel comfortable. When I leave Daisy with someone, I love knowing that she’s not just safe, but actually having a good time. I want her stay to feel like a fun little getaway rather than being left behind. Whether I’m walking your pup, checking in on your cat, or welcoming your dog into our home, my goal is simple: to treat your pet with the same attention, kindness, and care I’d want for my own. 🧚‍♀️🐾✨ My schedule is very flexible during the week, which gives me plenty of time for walks, play, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I primarily work as a gigging musician on weekends, so I tend to keep most of my bookings to weekdays. If I’m available for weekend boarding, my husband is also home and helps with pet care, so your pup will still have plenty of company and attention. My Rover calendar will always reflect my current availability! We have a spacious home with plenty of room for pets to relax and play, including a puppy-proofed area where dogs can safely hang out and make themselves at home. We also have a large yard that is currently unfenced, so dogs are always supervised and leashed outside. We’re having a fence installed soon! Our sweet, social Golden Retriever puppy, Daisy, loves other dogs and would be thrilled to welcome a friendly pup for a stay and playdate. We live on a quiet little street that’s great for walks, and I’m also happy to load up the pups for longer adventures at nearby parks, greenways, and trails. I want your dog’s stay to feel as comfortable and familiar as possible, so tell me all about their normal routine: where they sleep, whether they’re crate-trained, feeding schedule, favorite activities, quirks, and anything else that helps them feel at home. We’re flexible and happy to accommodate what works best for your pup. 🐾

“Paul and his fiancé were amazing with our boy, Ezra. As my service dog, he is always with me. There were 2 days of our 16-day vacay that we needed a reliable pet sitter for adventures we couldn’t bring Ezra on: zip-lining in Barnardsville and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway in a 2-seater Polaris Slingshot. Even after a considerately planned meet-and-greet the afternoon before his 1st stay with Paul, Ezra was a little nervous after we dropped him off. Thoughtfully, I received updates and videos to keep me posted. Paul and his fiancé worked with him to build trust and also Ezra’s confidence. By day 2, Ezra did not want his stay to end at pick-up time! When he finally did get in the car, he was happily exhausted and slept the entire drive home. I would definitely reach out to Paul as a pet sitter should the need arise the next time we visit beautiful North Carolina! Thank you both for taking such good care of our Ezra. We truly appreciate all you did to help him adjust and feel comfortable, confident and happy!!! :)”

About: Between us, we have always had an animal in our lives - from ferrets and horses to cats and dogs. Pets simply make life better and there’s no better way to thank them than to shower them with love and affection. Your fur baby is guaranteed to be excited when they need to stay with us. Nichole was a professional dog walker in Boston before moving to Asheville, so she has experience with all sizes and temperaments. Jackson is certified in American Service Pet training as well, so you can rest assured they are in good, capable hands during their stay. We both work outside of the home - Jackson as a maintenance worker and Nichole as a doctor - so our fur babies are usually lounging inside or in our fenced in yard or inside for 4-5 hours per day. Although we love all pets, please don’t book with us if your animal needs constant supervision. On the weekends, we love spending time out in nature, especially around bodies of water and would love to safely bring your pet along. When you trust us to watch your animals, we’ll follow whatever rules you’d like. They can run around in our fenced in yard or stay inside. We have a large crate as well if your animal prefers that. We have a Bernedoodle that loves playing with new friends, as long as they are not aggressive. We have two indoor cats that love playing with our dog, but would also not do well with an aggressive or prey-driven dog. We love to train dogs as well and are happy reinforce the work you are doing while they stay with us.

“I hadn't left Chloe with anyone for over three years, so finding a dog sitter was a big event in our life. She and I spend every day, all day together, so I was like a mama dropping her child for their first day of kindergarten. But Chloe had such a positive meet and greet, she couldn't wait to return! During our initial meeting, Rayana let Chloe thoroughly explore her house, which thrilled her as she's part hound dog and her nose demands she smell every crack and crevice. When Rayana invited her up on the sofa and gave her a pillow, Chloe looked at me like, omg, are you seeing this?! Nobody lets me up on their couch but you, mom! The cherry on top was when Rayana proceeded to give her lots of hugs and kisses and praise. We had a wonderful chat, after which Chloe discovered the doggie door and the yard, and I was thinking I wouldn't be able to get her to leave! When we returned for doggy daycare I was feeling emotional and worried I might start blubbering, but within a minute of arriving, Chloe was so excited to be there that I couldn't get her attention to tell her I was leaving! It made all the difference to know she was with someone who would love on her like I do. Chloe was a rescue who had a traumatic start in life, and I never imagined I would find someone who'd give her the kind of love and attention that has helped her heal and flourish. I can't recommend Rayana more highly. She is definitely a dog whisperer who clearly loves her four legged friends. ❤️”
