“My Sofi loves Mr. Cory!!!! He helped while I was out of town and was able to get her to take her medicine (even though she is hard headed about it). He’s very understanding and flexible. I am so glad to have met him!”

“Natalia was amazing! We just moved to the area and were super nervous, she was amazing with my 2 cats!! One of whom is incredibly anxious and came out to snuggle Natalia! 10/10 will definitely book again :)”

“Our dogs were so calm and happy when we got home! Due to a cancelled flight home, we needed Amy to come back twice more. She was happy to do it and it saved us and our dogs a lot of grief! Thanks again Amy, you’re the best!!”

About: Growing up with a farming family, I always wanted a dog, but dogs were not allowed in the house as pets. So 4 hamsters, a chinchilla, and countless fish later, I decided to volunteer at my local shelter to be around dogs all day, and 3 years ago I finally adopted my first! She was a nervous wreck in the beginning, but with lots of love and patience, she's morphed into the neighborhood sweetheart. I look forward to extending that same love and patience to your furbabies as well! I currently freelance remotely so I'm home often with a flexible, yet ever-changing schedule. That said, I'm available for one-time or pre-scheduled recurring visits on weekdays. I live in a safe neighborhood with a dog park. However, I do not currently offer dog sitting in my home. But I am highly organized and clean, so I will treat your home with the same respect that I would my own. My car is also equipped with dog seat belts and blankets for trips to the park if requested.
“Jessica is fantastic! She is caring, attentive, and always sends daily pictures of my kittens. I know they are safe and well taken care of when she visits. I highly recommend Jessica and I will definitely have her sit for me again.”

“Rhea loves Lindsay already! She gets so excited when she arrives and she ensures that Rhea gets a good amount of play time outside which I really appreciate. Especially given her high energy. Very lucky to have her!”

“A real life saver! She was able to check-in on my dogs with less than 12hrs of notice when something urgent came up taking me out of state and did a great job taking care of them and providing me with an update! I really appreciated her pictures and her level of communication”

“Megan was very on time in all the 7 visits we had booked her for. She took very good care of My cat. After each visit, she let us know a summery of the visit and also sent some photos of our cat relaxing in front of her. I will definitely recommend Megan for taking care of your pets when you’re not home.”

“Megan was super sweet, respectful, and kind all around and was amazing with my two cats. She was super flexible and understanding with date changes. Megan was reliable, sent great updates all days, and made me feel connected to my pets when I wasn't there.”

“Maren was kind enough to accept a last minute request. She is very friendly and attentive! She kept me updated throughout the day and Wrinkles seemed to enjoy her visits! I will definitely try to book with Maren again when I need it :)”

“Very good with the animals. We had her primarily care for our dog but she was very kind and open to loving on and doing a few other things for our cats and chickens too.”

“She was incredible! My cats loved her, even my little girl cat who has never let anyone else pet her! She left my house perfect and everyone was happy when we got home. Extremely good communication, will definitely book again!!”

“Caroline is great! She’s prompt, friendly and very kind to our dogs. When we say her name now at the house, their heads pop up, their experience has been so pleasant that they know in a way who we’re talking about. A+.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lowell. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
