About: I have been boarding, walking, and doing drop in visits for friends and family since I graduated high school. I have a lot of experience with all different breeds of dogs. I am available for you and your dogs full time! I can be available both weekdays and weekends and any time you might need help with your fur babies! I have a fenced in back yard and I have 2 friendly dogs to keep your pup company. I have an 11 year old Border Collie and a 3 year old Schnauzer Doodle. I have experience with dogs with health issues as my Border Collie has epilepsy. If your dog is boarding with me, I will take them on walks around my neighborhood and I have lots of toys for any playful pups. ❤️

Hannah did a great job with our girls. She followed the schedule. Sent pics throughout the day and you could tell that they were well cared for. We came home to the house as we left it, and she even washed the sheets and brought in the garbage cans from the road.

I really wish that there was something negative that I could say about Shannon. I truly want to write all sorts of bad things about her and how everything was screwed up and how our dogs didn’t like her and how she didn’t stay in contact and communicate with us. I would like nothing more than to be able to say that she didn’t send pictures or keep our place clean; or go out of her way to double back from a personal errand to pick up an unexpected but expected package off of our front porch. I would absolutely love to be able to sit here on my cozy little couch and write how no one in the world should ever ever try and book her to watch their home or pets…but I can’t. It would all be lies. We want her all for ourselves and would like nothing more than for her to be available every single time we want to go out of town. She is superb. Nothing negative. Nothing bad. We have a dog who doesn’t like people and is sort of a rowdy little cuss, when Shannon came to pick up the key, this little f*%ker was trying to lick her hand. I know with every positive review she gets, it will be less likely that she will be available, but we must tell the truth. Book her.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I understand that every dog has a different personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable and cared for. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, so I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, attention, and love I’d want for my own. I’m a college student who works part-time, and pet sitting fits perfectly into my schedule. I’m available Wednesday through Sunday and make sure every pet gets the time, attention, and care they deserve. I enjoy staying active, so walks, playtime, and sticking to your dog’s routine are something I genuinely look forward to. I care for pets by keeping them comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. In my clients’ homes, I follow feeding schedules, provide walks, playtime, and plenty of attention, and make sure your pet feels secure while you’re away. I also keep the space clean and send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: Hi, I’m Grace! I love all animals and grew up surrounded by them and have many of my own at home! I currently have 3 dogs,3 cats, parrots, and chickens who I take care of. I have even volunteered at Haven Humane many times, so I have lots of experience with feeding, walking, playing, and grooming! I also learned how to read pet body language and manage animals with different temperaments as a volunteer. I’m good with both young pets and older ones, and am even comfortable with administering medicine if needed, as I have pets that need regular medications. Whether you have an energetic pet who needs lots of attention and walks, or one who just wants to cuddle and needs someone to sit around at home with, I will take the best possible care of them! I’m currently working part-time usually Thursday through Sunday, though my schedule varies. I’m typically available in the afternoons or evenings on these days, so I can do walks or play dates. I’m free to house sit Mondays through Wednesdays and can even stay all day if needed. When staying at your home, I always make sure to never leave pets unattended for long periods of time, always keep them leashed while on walks, will send updates and often as possible, and carefully follow all instructions including feeding or medication instructions. I will also treat your home with the most care, and make sure everything is kept clean and secure.

We had the absolute BEST experience with Lauren, who stayed in our home for a full week while caring for our dogs. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease and she took the weight off of our shoulders! We received daily updates and adorable photos/videos, and it was clear our babies were relaxed, happy, and getting lots of love and attention. Our house was left spotless and our dogs were freshly bathed upon our return! It’s rare to find someone so reliable, respectful, and truly caring. We would absolutely book Lauren again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy in-home dog sitter. Five stars all the way!

About: I’ve always been around animals ever since I was little- horses, goats, chickens, cats, dogs- you name it! I love animals and taking care of them. The company of a set of paws is one of the most comforting and rewarding things. I know how much a bond between a pet parent and pet means, and will go above and beyond to make sure an owner is content when away from their fluffy family member. I promise to ensure peace of mind that they are cared for and happy, whether it’s a wagging tail or a purring tummy. I’ve been pet-sitting and walking for my neighbors since I was young, and care for each pet as if it were my very own. I’m currently almost entirely available! Any walks or home check in times needed, I can do them! I’m happy to go for morning and evening strolls with a pup, or check in on a kitty a time a day or more to make sure your fur baby is happy and healthy. I care for clients’ pets by walking their dogs, feeding pets, administering medication such as flea medication, cleaning litter boxes and lawns, and more as required.

This was our first overnight with Courtney. She did really well with Lily, who has some separation anxiety. She took her on a few walks and Lily seemed to enjoy herself. Elaine is pretty social and did very well. She took very good care of them. I definitely want her to sit for us again in the future.

About: I have hands‑on experience caring for both cats and dogs with a wide range of personalities, routines, and needs. My approach is calm, observant, and patient — I let each pet set the pace and make sure they feel safe and comfortable from the moment I arrive. For cats, I’m especially familiar with senior care, mobility challenges, and monitoring litter box habits. I’m comfortable supporting shy or anxious cats, administering oral medications, and keeping a clean, low‑stress environment. I also have light medical experience specifically with cats like giving prescription injections and giving subcutaneous fluids when needed and directed by a vet. For dogs, I’m experienced with structured routines, leash handling, feeding schedules, and reading body language to keep walks and visits smooth and positive. I’m attentive to energy levels, comfort cues, and any changes in behavior. I have an enclosed backyard for outside time if they like, and a great walking path in the neighborhood for walks. I’m reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to giving every pet the same level of care and respect I give my own. You’ll receive clear updates, honest communication, and photos so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. Whether your pet is playful, independent, senior, or needs a little extra support, I’m here to provide steady, worry‑free care tailored to their needs. I am very flexible when it comes to scheduling. I can be available for full time or part time, one time or several. Just talk to me about my availability I provide calm, attentive, and safety‑focused care whether I’m visiting your home or welcoming your pet into mine. My goal is always to create a predictable, low‑stress environment where your pet feels secure and understood. In your home: I follow your routines exactly as you describe them, feeding schedules, walking routes, litter box setup, household rules, and any special instructions. I keep doors and gates secured, double‑check that pets can’t slip out, and maintain a clean environment throughout each visit. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and comfort so I can spot changes early and communicate them to you. For cats: I move slowly, respect boundaries, and let them approach on their terms. I’m experienced with senior cats, mobility challenges, and monitoring litter box habits. I keep their space tidy, refresh water and food carefully, and maintain a calm atmosphere that helps shy or anxious cats feel safe. For dogs: I use steady, confident leash handling, stick to familiar walking routes, and avoid overstimulation. I watch body language closely, support positive behavior, and make sure they get the right balance of exercise, structure, and comfort. Safety is always the priority, secure harnesses, controlled entrances/exits, and mindful interactions. Communication & trust: You’ll receive clear updates, honest notes, and photos every visit, so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every pet with the same care and respect I give my own, and I work to make each visit predictable, safe, and worry‑free.

This was my first time using Brianna, she exceeded expectations. She took great care of my home and my sweet dog Jasper, she sent me timely updates and photos and left my home clean and orderly just like I left it. Jasper liked her and even after I came home he still ran to her requesting pets and loves. To me that's a very good endorsement that he felt comfortable and well cared for in her care. I have already scheduled my next trip and have rebooted with Brianna.

FAQs for House Sitting - Loomis Corners

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Loomis Corners on Rover is $27.75 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 119 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Loomis Corners. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Loomis Corners walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Loomis Corners maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Loomis Corners choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
