About: I’m a professional dog trainer who apprenticed under Kevin Behan founder of Natural Dog Training and author of Your Dog is Your Mirror. I have worked with all kinds of dog, both in terms of breeds and behaviors. I was also the head trainer and a manager of one of the largest boarding facilities in Vermont, Oh My Dog. I have plans for a small kennel and training out of my house long term. Available all week days and possibly weekends with reasonable notice. I have six acres of wooded land that backs up to hundreds of acres of state owned land. I have a fenced in play yard, and two side kennels that get all day shade. Also have space to accommodate crates as well!

She kindly welcomed us to an impromptu meet and greet which was very helpful for our two shih tzus, 0ne is over 15 yo, nearly deaf with vision loss, and his buddy was recently rescued from a breeding mill so he's learning about love, leash, harness, steps, toys, beds, security: everything in dog life. Josie and her service dog Saint share a wonderful energy which we appreciate. Our two pups do best in calm and they responded well to them. During their stay Josie provided exceptional communication with photos and updates which we appreciated even when we were unable to respond. Her love, patience and dedication to dogs are evident. I definitely recommend Josie and Saint and will request them again. Next time I think our little dogs would be more comfortable without a second large dog staying too. I have confidence in Josie managing several at a time, however ours can become unsettled by larger groups of dogs or people. Over time they may be able to feel more secure in them. Now, they are less sure. Josie handled any of their insecurities or fears well. She is very accommodating for their needs all around, including special allergy diets too. We are pleased to have met Josie and look forward to seeing Saint and her again. They are a pleasure.”

About: I have always had a dog(s) in my life. I’ve care for small dogs, large dogs, old dogs, puppies, and dogs with special needs. I’ve always wanted to create a doggie hotel, but short of that they are welcome in my home. I’m currently not working outside the home and have ultimate flexibility. I like to have a planned schedule and prefer scheduling stays at least 1 week in advance. I have a safe, fenced in yard and have one senior dog of my own to keep you baby company. I live in a safe walking neighborhood, if you’d like to add that service. I can also adapt my service to your home, especially with drop in service.

I’m a mother of 3 humans and two fur babies (Milo and Cersei). I love to cuddle family-friendly dogs, take them to the water, and on walks. I am flexible with my schedule. I also enjoy spending time with cats and kids! I’m also available for kid/baby sitting. I have a degree in behavioral science with emphasis on child development. I also have a MS in environmental science. Other than that, I spend our time on hikes, going sight seeing, and in the water. I previously worked at a wildlife hospital, and have some vet tech training. Nonsmoking, and I have reliable transportation. High-maintenance dogs will require higher rate. About: I’ve cared for dogs for my entire life. Starting as a kid, dogs were my first love as an animal enthusiast. They are so playful, kind, loving, innocent, and unique in every way. I’ve never had a dog that didn’t give me their full loyalty. I believe every animal should be protected and treated with love and respect. My ultimate goal in life is to become a veterinarian and help animals who don’t have someone to care for them. I am currently available weekdays for drop in and walking services. I am also available on weekends based on availability. I also offer bathing services as an add on to any booking! I believe proper animal care is essential.
