About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, having cats growing up and later volunteering with dogs at rescue orgs. My time as a training class assistant for Puppy Manners and New Dog Basics at the San Francisco SPCA gave me valuable skills in positive reinforcement training, socialization, and handling dogs of all temperaments. Beyond dogs and cats, I also have experience with horses, having owned and leased several. I’m comfortable with feeding, turnout, mucking stalls, brushing, and general equine care, making me a well-rounded caregiver for multi-pet households. It’s a gift to be able to connect with animals. I love to return the positive energy an animal gives. I feel like every animal deserves kindness. About: Ive been taking care of all kinds of animals for a long time! I mostly help with dogs and ive had a few cats sitting jobs. I have had cats and dogs my whole life so I'm very used to both and adore them! About: Hi! My name is Nickolas, I currently work early mornings and I get off at 1 pm. I am looking for reoccurring clients (daily or weekly) that need some assistance with their animals. I have experience from puppies, dogs, cats, geckos, and snakes. I am slightly allergic to cats, so overnight stays wouldn’t be ideal, but drop in feedings are no problem. I work 5am - 1pm Monday - Friday, so any time after 1 pm on weekdays I am able to provide services for whatever you are looking for. I currently have a dog, two geckos, and a snake. These animals have given me more than adequate amount of experience over the years of having them. I am caring and very observant when it comes to animals, so no injuries / infections will slip by!
About: I grew up taking care of my huskey/german shepherd mix dog and red eared slider turtle. I now have an orange cat of my own! When my coworkers/family go out of town I’m trusted to pet sit for them. I’m currently completely available. About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. Weekends are mostly free to cuddle and to play with the fur babies. When house sitting or boarding pets I stay close so they be taken care of as needed. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
