My parents still love to tell stories about how as soon as I could walk, as little as 2, I would walk into pet shops and ask to hold snakes and other “scary” animals. I love them all and have had the luxury of either owning or taking care of every kind of pet. I truly mean every— dogs, cats, fish, turtles, lizards, birds (ducks, rescues, etc), tarantulas, frogs, newts, axolotls, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, moles, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, and I’m sure I’m missing some.
