“Miss Bobbi did a wonderful job with our Westie! We are so happy we found her! She sent messages, pictures and videos every day during our vacation and was very easy to communicate with. Our dog loved playing with Nala and running around in the yard! We will definitely use Bobbi again!”

“Communication was very timely and I received pictures every day. They were kind and patient and told me all about how Finn did while he was with them. I now call it Finn’s “Doggie Camp.” Booking with them again now!”

“Heather and her family greeted our dogs with loving, open arms. They have a lovely home with a farm which allowed the dogs to be entertained from their playpen with chickens and ducks. Our dogs are completely happy with no problems while they were visiting Heather and Family. Heather is great at communication and gets back to you right away. We asked for pictures and Heather sent lots of pictures to comfort us knowing our girls were safe and well loved.”

“I could tell when I picked up my dogs that they got lots of attention while they were there. The home environment was a much better environment than a boarding kennel. They were a very loving family.”

“If you came to the reviews to see if Vasumathy is the right pet sitter for you. The answer is YES!! BOOK HER NOW!! She recommended a meet and greet before booking. Which is a great idea for you to know who will be taken care of your pet and where they will be. Vasumathy took care of my 3 month old puppy Dunkin, with short notice, for a few days while my family and I were out for some hours. She is very knowledgeable and gave us some advice on how to train our puppy as well. She updated us on how our puppy was doing through out the day. Asked questions on how to care for our little Dunkin. She is very personable and you can tell she loves animals in general. You won't go wrong with booking her. I found our future dog sitter and I couldn't be more happy. Thank you Vasumathy!!”

“Patricia was amazing! She sent pictures, loved my dogs, took them on walks and to a near by park, and sent me updates. She was also very flexible for me. We were an hour late to drop off due to traffic and we were able to pick them up on a Sunday at 4:30pm instead of 7pm, and Patricia was super helpful.”

“Pam and Michael were wonderful! They are clearly animal lovers and I trust they took care of our dog as their own. They sent lots of pictures and videos while we were gone. Our dog came home tired from playing and very happy.”

“Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful! She sent daily photos and updates of our dog, Penny, making sure to let us know if any concerns came up. She also made sure that Penny felt comfortable and safe since she was nervous when we dropped her off. We'll definitely book with Elizabeth again!”

“Jack was so wonderful and took such good care of my dog! He sent pics and updates every day, which made me feel so comfortable! I would highly recommend Jack and will definitely use him again!”

“Michelle is the best! She gave us daily progress reports and pictures. She took care of Papi like family. She even brushed his teeth. Papi is usually afraid of everything and everyone, but warmed up to Michelle and her dog, Emmy, quickly. She gave us such peace of mind while we were away. I highly recommend her and will use her again.”

“Our Puppers just loved hanging out with Kathy! Tucker become her lap dog and Daisy made herself right at home in her well puppy proofed home. They loved their time outside with her and watching squirrels from her back patio window. We will definitely use her again next time we need a sitter!”

“Christine took such great care of Sadie last week! Sadie has always gone to a kennel when we’re on vacation, but at age 14 and in declining health, we weren’t comfortable with that option this summer and decided to try Rover for the first time. We’re so glad that we did! Christine was so patient with our girl, and it really put our minds at ease to get updates and pictures throughout the week, and to know that she was enjoying lots of couch snuggles and attention.”
“This was our first time using Rover and Angela was great! She sent us photos and gave us updates on how our dog was doing. I highly recommend her! She even has baby gates up to separate dogs just in case one doesn't get along! What a great place and amazing back yard”

“Could not have been happier with Anton. My dog is shy and anxious, and Anton did a great job of both taking care of him and making sure that my dog felt safe and secure enough to socialize. We were provided updates and pictures (which were incredible). Also, when our flight was delayed, Anton was kind enough to watch my dog for a few extra hours. It made a stressful situation much easier to handle. My dog's bedding was even freshly washed when I picked him up. I would highly recommend boarding your pet with Anton. I will definitely use his services again in the future.”

“Thank you for keeping my Bella on such short notice for the Christmas holiday. Bella was happy as ever when she came home and I can tell she enjoyed her time with you!”

“Super easy to drop off and pickup. She shared photos and videos throughout the stay. Also, she was extremely accommodating when we needed to keep extending the number of days. And our dog had a blast. It was like a doggie vacation for her.”

“Abigail was great! We needed a last minute sitter for our 1yr old pup for a 10 day trip and Abigail accommodated us with no problem! She was even willing to do a meet and greet before the stay. My 1yr old still has puppy like behaviors which I warned her about and she had no problem as well! My pup also loved spending time with her very friendly dog and kids! She also communicated very well with great response times. Will definitely have Abigail sit for us if needed again!”

Melissa is outstanding! Period. Couldn't have been happier with my dog's (Ollie) stay at her house and I know Ollie loved it. Gave us several updates with photos during the week which was a nice touch as well. Would not hesitate to recommend her or to use her services again.
Our dogs had the best time with David and his family! They enjoyed early morning walks and plenty of activity, which I know they loved. David sent daily photo updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely book with him again for future vacations—as long as he's willing to take our two dogs back after all the fun they had!

We are so grateful to Grant for taking good care of our two girls. He was very friendly and communicative. We appreciate that he sent us photos and updates daily. His dog Charlotte was very excited to meet our girls! They all had a great time together! Grant was very accommodating with our need for flexible arrival and departure times. Thank you so much! We highly recommend Grant!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Locust Point home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Locust Point.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Locust Point sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
