I can't thank you enough.”

“Margus was awesome with my boys and saved me during a last minute out of town trip. My 2 dogs were very well cared for on their walks I can tell they had a great time through all the pictures and feedback provided. My boys are on the younger side and have very different walking styles so it can cause for some interesting experiences with them and Margus handled them extremely well and I came home to some very happy and tired pups.”

“Leah was fantastic! Our fluffy boy can be nervous around new people, but on our initial visit he warmed right up to her! She is definitely blessed with a a calming gift around dogs. Loved our candid shots showing our boy enjoying her company.”

About: I have cared for many types of dogs, small, medium, and large, for over 20 years. I believe dogs need to be social, active, and allowed to live as though they are the most important being in one's household. I work from home, so there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor play in a fenced yard, leashed walks/runs to the neighborhood park nearby, and human companionship. Car rides to other parks and nature trails are an option as well. My fenced yard provides a safe environment for free play, roaming, and exploration. My home is also a free-range environment, and conducive to a safe and secure stay.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Locust Point
I had the dog walker come by for an initial walk with my dog, Bentley, ahead of a longer stay and I’m so glad I did. They arrived right on time, sent thoughtful photo updates, and gave a detailed report after the walk, which I really appreciated. Most importantly, Bentley clearly felt comfortable and cared for…he was actually sad to see them go! That alone told me everything I needed to know. This quick intro gave me so much peace of mind, and I now feel confident he’ll be in great hands during his upcoming daycare and extended stay. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
