I believe dogs need to be social, active, and allowed to live as though they are the most important being in one's household. I work from home, so there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor play in a fenced yard, leashed walks/runs to the neighborhood park nearby, and human companionship. Car rides to other parks and nature trails are an option as well. My fenced yard provides a safe environment for free play, roaming, and exploration. My home is also a free-range environment, and conducive to a safe and secure stay.
