I am currently a student and I have a lot of free time with only one job working Saturday evenings. I commonly go to the gym in the late morning but I am available mostly every day! About: I have cared for many types of dogs, small, medium, and large, for over 20 years. I believe dogs need to be social, active, and allowed to live as though they are the most important being in one's household. I work from home, so there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor play in a fenced yard, leashed walks/runs to the neighborhood park nearby, and human companionship. Car rides to other parks and nature trails are an option as well. My fenced yard provides a safe environment for free play, roaming, and exploration. My home is also a free-range environment, and conducive to a safe and secure stay.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for as long as I can remember. Friends and family have relied on me for various pet needs. From caring for horses, cats, and dogs, I am well versed in the pet care department. My pets are a very big part of my life and I care for all pets like they are my own. Rest be assured, your pets are in great hands!
About: Ever since I was a very little girl, animals have been the object of my attention. My parents still love to tell stories about how as soon as I could walk, as little as 2, I would walk into pet shops and ask to hold snakes and other “scary” animals. I love them all and have had the luxury of either owning or taking care of every kind of pet. I truly mean every— dogs, cats, fish, turtles, lizards, birds (ducks, rescues, etc), tarantulas, frogs, newts, axolotls, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, moles, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, and I’m sure I’m missing some. I’ve also taken care of an extensive array of bugs. Just ask! While I mainly and primarily care for furry friends— I have lots of experience with other pets. :^) I’m currently only working with Rover and with Wag Caregiver, so I am always at home! I spend all of my time at home with other’s people pets. I am almost exclusively at home. I leave to go to the store and run errands, but otherwise, I’m a complete home body. I don’t have a fenced in yard, but I have a very safe and pet friendly neighborhood to walk your dogs. I do plan to move into my first home within the next 6 months, and will have a fenced in yard then. Aside from that, my home is perfectly equipped for your furry (or maybe not so furry!) companions. They are allowed on almost any and all surfaces. Beds, couches, floors, all.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hogestown
I had the dog walker come by for an initial walk with my dog, Bentley, ahead of a longer stay and I’m so glad I did. They arrived right on time, sent thoughtful photo updates, and gave a detailed report after the walk, which I really appreciated. Most importantly, Bentley clearly felt comfortable and cared for…he was actually sad to see them go! That alone told me everything I needed to know. This quick intro gave me so much peace of mind, and I now feel confident he’ll be in great hands during his upcoming daycare and extended stay. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
