“Luie is one of the best dog walkers. He took care of our yorkie Zoey for several months walking her 3 days a week for 30 minutes. Zoey always looked forward to her walks with Luie. If you need a reliable dog walker for your fur baby then look no further.”

“Liz took great care of Cooper while I was away for a short trip. She did several drop in visits each day, kept me updated, and made the whole experience very easy. Cooper also needed medication, and she gave it without any issues. It gave me peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands, and I’d definitely book with her again.”

About: Hello! I’m Erin, a full-time high school teacher and pet-sitter on the side. I’m an animal lover and I have been pet sitting for 10+ years. I have a ton of experience caring for a variety of dog breeds and cats, as well as a few smaller animals (rabbits, hamsters, birds, and fish). I’m calm, caring, and patient, with a soft spot for senior animals. I’ve had a great deal of experience caring for my own senior pets (both dogs and cats). I’ve provided care for animals with diapers, medication, and mild mobility issues. I’m also experienced in caring for diabetic cats and administering insulin, as I’ve helped two of my rescues go into remission. I strive to provide the best care possible for pets, and peace of mind for their owners! Please be aware that starting August 25th, I will be at work from 7:35 am-3:05 pm. I’m currently a full time as a high school teacher, so from 7:35-3:05 on week days, I’m usually at work. If I am pet sitting during the week, I head straight to the pets at the end of the work day. On weekends, I am able to dedicate most, if not all, of the day to spending time with your pets. This is also the case over the summer. I provide pet care in client’s homes, per the directions provided by the clients. Prior to caring for your pet(s), I ask that we arrange a time for me to meet your pet(s) and go over all pertinent information regarding their care and safety.
“Kaitlyn was punctual, gave Shelby TLC, and helped me out at the last minute to ensure my pup got the walks she needed at lunch. Would definitely recommend Kaitlyn to help with your furbaby.”

“Amber was wonderful with our dog. ShnikelFritz is a rescue and can be quite anxious when left alone. Amber was so good with her, she walked our dog twice,as requested, and sent us great pictures. I felt very comfortable that our dog was in capable loving hands and I would not hesitate to hire. Amber in the future.”

About: I have great experience being that I was a proud owner of a beautiful and intelligent pitbull/hound mix named Jay-Jay for 15 years. We grew up together but unfortunately he was called to heaven 3 years ago. My heart still has an empty vacancy ever since he has left but my love for dogs has unwavered! When I take care of my friends and co workers dogs I am always told I have a natural ability to connect and obtain quick trust! I am a medical student but am graduating in May so I have tons of free time to give to someone's fur baby :) Since I am graduating in May I do not have many clinical responsibilities or class requirements. I have the flexibility to take your fur baby out for walks and also play at home. I can also bring my laptop to complete tasks remotely if needed. I prefer to care for your pet while in your home since my apartment complex currently does not allow animals. However I feel that will make your furbaby feel even more comfortable and safe! I will not change anything in the environment and blend into the normal routine.
About: I was raised around dogs since childhood, and have always been involved with animal rescue since I had my own place. We have dogs and cats of our own, and they enjoy having fluffy friends to play with as much as we do! I’m currently available during the day full time, and only work part-time at night. So there’s a lot of availability for either dog walks, emergency boarding needs, or doggy daycare options. We have a fenced in yard out back, and crate-and-rotate when needed. I am experienced in handling all behaviors of dogs, from the fearful/shy to the escape artist.

About: Hi, my name is Angelina! I’m 21 years old and I grew up in San Diego, California but currently live in Columbia, South Carolina. I love all animals and am offering dog walking and dog-sitting services! I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life. I have also dog-sat for neighbors since I was 13 years old and volunteered at my local animal shelter. Thus, I’m used to and know how to handle and care for 5 pound Chihuahuas and 100 pound mastiffs. In the near future, I hope to open up my own shelter to ensure more dogs and cats find the living homes they truly deserve! If you have a pet or two (or three) that need(s) some attention while you’re away at work, I’m your girl! I currently own a Pit Mix named Nyla Baby and two Guinea pigs named Winston and Wilbur. I can’t wait to meet your babies! :D I’m currently both working and attending school full-time and would like to go down to part time to focus more on personal goals and ambitions. Animals have always been a part of my life, and I would love to meet and help others spoil their babies’ rotten! I can walk your dog in your or my neighborhood, at any dog-friendly park, or anywhere else you’d like! As I stay in an apartment, I cannot house animals overnight but can watch them during the day for some hours! I can care for your pets at your home overnight, or for however long you need be!

- 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
