“Caley is very sweet to my dog. She communicates well and is always on time. He’s a husky so he’s an a big dog and sometimes can be a little difficult to walk on a leash. She runs with him and plays with him and gives him treats. She’s even asked me if she could turn on our sprinkler that we use for our backyard on a hot day so he could play in the water. He had a blast. He’s always in such a good mood when she’s been there. He’s told me people that he doesn’t like and people that he does like. He’s always super happy when she’s been there. Ive I actually had her take care of my dogs and my cats for years before she joined the app. I will continue to use Caley.”

“Madison was great! She was able to accommodate a same-day request, which I really appreciated. She took Annika on an adventure to the park, and Annika came home completely pooped. It was clear she had a great time. I would definitely book with Madison again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and caring for them has always been something I truly enjoy. I’ve owned dogs for over 15 years, helped raise multiple litters of puppies, and have experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. One of my proudest experiences was nursing my own puppy through parvo. It was challenging, but seeing him slowly recover only strengthened my passion for caring for animals. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone around, i’ll make sure they feel safe and loved. I’ll always treat your pet as one of my own 🫶🏻 I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone new, so i’ll always send plenty of photos and updates to give you peace of mind while you’re your away. I work Tuesday through Friday, 9-3. I’m available all day every Monday and every other day of the week after 3pm! I can also be available on weekends and holidays! I live in an apartment with my sweet senior dachshund. She’s a very calm and friendly spirit and would make the perfect friend, she gets along with other dogs well. Food and water is always available and I also have a crate if needed. We go on walks and car rides often, and accidents are always okay. I can crate my dog if needed, letting your pet roam free!

About: I’m 29, and I’ve been a passionate animal caretaker for the past 19 years, starting when I was just 10 years old. Having cared for both cats and dogs of every kind throughout my life, I currently look after three cats of my own, which has given me extensive hands-on experience with behavioral management and daily needs. Neighbors, friends, and family have long relied on me for check-ins, feeding, and play, knowing I treat every pet with the same level of compassion and dedication I give to my own family members. I am committed to ensuring your pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you are away I work full time but I work from my home office Monday-Friday. My cats are all indoor and up to date on vaccinations & my dog is indoor/outdoor but stays with his grandparents most of the time. My animals are free to roam indoors & outdoors. My cats go out on a harness (only with me) & leash in my fenced in yard but I will take care of your pets however is needed at your house.
About: I’ve cared for a variety of pets over the years, including two sweet senior dogs and a cat, and I’ve loved every moment of it. I have volunteered at a local animal shelter near Clemson where I took dogs out on “doggy daycations” — long walks, fresh air, and of course pup cups to make their day extra special. I also grew up helping care for my family’s Australian Labradoodle, so I’m comfortable with everything from energetic playtime to gentle, patient care. Whether your pet wants adventure, affection, or a calm companion, I’m here to make them feel safe, loved, and happy. I have a very light semester at Clemson this year, which means I’ll have plenty of downtime and a flexible schedule for pet care. Whether you need regular walks, drop‑ins, or last‑minute help, I’ll be around and available. I love spending my free time outside anyway, so your pets will get lots of attention, fresh air, and fun while you’re away. I always prioritize safety and comfort. I have hands‑on experience walking untrained shelter dogs outdoors, so I’m confident handling pups who may pull, get excited, or need a little extra patience. I’m gentle, calm, and loving with both dogs and cats, and I make sure every animal feels secure and respected in my care. Whether we’re out exploring or relaxing at home, I create a safe, positive environment where pets can be themselves and feel completely at ease.
“Olivia is so good with our dog Remi! She’s friendly and understanding, very flexible with scheduling and helpful! We trust her completely with our fur baby. We highly recommend her!”

Also offer the dogs to run free in the house if that’s what they are accustomed to .
About: I have always grown up with pets: 3 dogs, 1 cat, and a beared dragon. I have helped train a puppy, cared for a dying senior dog, and everything in between. I have experience with pets who have high energy, anxiety, dietary needs, and physical disabilities. Family, friends, and neighbors have trusted me to pet sit, drop in, provide over night care, and walk their dogs. I have worked at a dog groomer for over 2 years, which has given me experience with a wide variety of animals and their temperaments. I’m a full time student at Clemson University who has most afternoons/ evenings and weekend free to care for your pets! I am studying wildlife conservation so spending time with animals is one of my favorite things to do! Following instructions, I can care for your pet however you direct me to. About: I’m retired and using my spare time to look after fur babies of all shapes and sizes. I love pets and have years of experience in animal training too! If you’re looking for full time, comprehensive care, this is it. 😊 As a retired veteran, this is my main source of income and I’m very dedicated to it. I am involved in pet care every day because I have a dog and cat of my own and I love them like family. Taking care of animals puts me at ease and helping others is my mission in life, so I’m very devoted to doing this job well. My complex is gated and I have created a special space in my home for guest pets. I have LOTS of toys and training tools available so the fun never stops! I follow instructions to the letter and do my absolute best to go above and beyond in all that I do. Animals are such a beautiful blessing on this Earth and I really treasure every opportunity to interact with them. It just makes me happy!
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m heavily involved in volunteering and fostering with local rescues and shelters, with a special love for herding breeds and cats. My own dog is a Rough Collie who actively competes in dog sports and is currently working toward multiple titles. Training and enrichment are a big part of my everyday life, and I regularly work with high-energy working breed fosters in my home. Whether it’s walks, training sessions, dog sports, playtime, or down time, caring for animals is truly what I love most. Genuinely… like it’s my full-time job outside of my full-time job. My schedule is pretty flexible! I can do morning and evening visits during the week, plus sometimes a quick lunchtime drop-in while I’m on break for work. Weekends are wide open for longer visits or walks! I always care for pets the way I do my own — with patience, structure, and lots of love. In your home, I make sure to follow your routine closely so your pets feel secure and comfortable. I keep things clean, double-check doors and leashes, and make sure everyone gets the right mix of play, exercise, and rest. Whether it’s a shy cat or a high-energy pup, I take time to understand their personality and build trust so they feel completely at ease while you’re away.
“Jessi is such a lovely lady who makes my mind and heart at ease when my beloved MazeyJo is with her. Every time she walks my girl while I am at work, I receive the best smiley doggy photos, a wonderful Rover Card update and could not be more pleased with her services. When her profile says "Your pets new BFF", she isn't kidding. Thank you so much, Jessi.”

I am very active and enjoy jogging as well. I work full time as a Real Estate Agent but try to keep my schedule flexible. My aunt is a vet so I would often go into her clinic and visit the animals there, I would also take my family member's dogs for walks all the time. Animals bring joy to my life and I know that having a dog in the city can be difficult, that's why I am here to help as much as I can to take your dog for a walk! I work from home so I can make just about anytime work before 6pm that is! Let me work around your s ch exile to make sure your pet gets the care it needs! Every pet is different, and I feel that matching their energy is very important. First I get their trust and show that I am a safe and kind person before the fun begins!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
