“Alexis was amazing & I will absolutely be using again! She did 1 hour drop-in visits for my 2 kitties for 8 days & went above & beyond my expectations. This was the first time I’ve ever had to leave them for an extended period of time, so it was also the first time I’ve had to hire someone to help take care of them, so I was pretty nervous. She came over ahead of time to get acquainted with them & myself, stayed in constant communication while I was gone, sent me lots of pictures & updates, & most impressive- got one of my babies to be snuggly & loving with her which is incredible considering their normal disposition around new people (hiding be pretty hissy/unfriendly). That alone let me know just how amazing she is with animals! When I came home their litter boxes were clean, their food & water were full, & they were both perfect condition. I’m so grateful for Alexis & how well she took care of my kitties while I was gone. I knew they were safe & well cared for which made being away from them 1,000 times easier! She will be my number 1 go-to anytime I need someone to take care of my cats in the future!”

Although I had been happy with other cat sitters that I’ve worked with on Rover, I decided to give Karisa a chance, because she was more affordable. Boy, am I so glad that I did. Karisa bonded with our kitties, Klondike and Sprite, better than anyone I’ve ever worked with before. Sprite, in particular, is very skittish and will hide from pet sitters, but, miraculously, she was happy to let Karisa and her children hold her during visits. Klondike likewise got tons of attention and affection, as evidenced by the many photos Karisa sent. Karisa also took care of watering my many orchids while we were away. Plus, when I forgot to suspend our shipment of frozen meals from The Farmer’s Dog while we were away, Karisa was a lifesaver! Not only did she keep an eye out for the package, but when it arrived, she brought it in out of the hot sun, unpacked it, and stored everything neatly in the freezer for us. I will most definitely be booking her again in the future.”

About: At Williamson Animal Care and Control I volunteered walking dogs. I also received significant training in dog behavior and dog walking. After retiring from my career, I started my pet sitting and dog walking career. I took care of a rescued Great Pyrenees multiple times during the week and frequently overnight trips for over two years. I recently moved back to the Fort Wayne area from Franklin, TN. Three of my previous dog clients have shown interest in having me come back to stay with their dogs when they’re out of town for more than a couple days. Pet sitting and dog walking are my primary responsibilities along with taking care of my two cats. I have a very flexible and available schedule. I take pride and making sure that the client’s home is as good if not better when I entered. I will walk the dog, feed or treat, make sure the water bowl is full and also if appropriate snuggles.

About: I, Carter and my mother Mindy, have been pet owners our entire lives. We have experience with young, adult, and senior dogs. Along with experience in administering certain types of medications, and our house is blind dog friendly thanks to indoor gates and a fenced in and safe backyard. We’ve recently lost our last dog and don’t plan to get another animal companion, but we love to help people care for their furry companions temporarily as a way to give back to the same people who did such for us when we were pet owners. Mindy works from home and loves to work outside in her garden, which would mean a lot of outside time for your pet in our fenced in backyard. Carter is around more in the mornings and nights meaning if your animal is a “night owl” they shall still be cared for round the clock. We have a designated area for food and water in our house, along with many toys and bones from throughout the years. We are in a very safe neighborhood with a fenced in backyard and lots of room to run. Any animals living with us will always be treated with kindness and a sense of belonging no matter the duration of their stay!

About: i have been a pet sitter for friends and family for many years. I have owned several dogs and cats, and I currently have four kitties as my sweet dog passed away a few years ago. I also care for/feed five feral/community cats that I worked with Humane FW to trap, spay/neuter and vaccinate, and I supply them with heated cat houses. I have experience with elderly animals as well as special needs animals with food restrictions and allergies. I currently work part-time from home and make my own hours, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pet(s)! About: I have been caring for the pets of my friends and family for over 5 years, and worked for a pet boarding facility for over a year. I’m a college student studying to be a veterinarian who wants to gain more experience working with pets. I have also completed the dog handler academy online training course for my last job! I am currently a college student who is able to take the time between and after my classes to care for pets. This also leaves my weekends completely open to focus on pet care! We have a fenced yard where dogs can safely play, and no other dogs in our home, so your pup will have plenty of space and attention. We always follow the owner’s instructions to keep up with their usual routine — activity, meals, naps, and all — to make sure your dog feels comfortable and at home. About: I take care of my brothers dogs and friends dogs while they’re out of town. I also have a cat and a Doberman that want love and attention constantly. About: I have a 15 year old medium sized Lab-Pit mix that I’ve cared for since she was almost a year old. I’ve also helped care for dogs of all sizes for friends and family, no size too big or too small! With years of experience giving medications, I’m skilled in administering pills, whether with treats or a more direct approach. I can read a dog’s body language to tell if they’re happy and social or need some space. I have lots of free time, I’m available all day, weekends and weekdays! I’m only unavailable during 5pm as that’s my own pets dinner time, and medication time for those who need them I am very familiar with crating, my own dog is crate trained. If need be, I can safely crate a dog if they need to settle down
