Karisa bonded with our kitties, Klondike and Sprite, better than anyone I’ve ever worked with before. Sprite, in particular, is very skittish and will hide from pet sitters, but, miraculously, she was happy to let Karisa and her children hold her during visits. Klondike likewise got tons of attention and affection, as evidenced by the many photos Karisa sent. Karisa also took care of watering my many orchids while we were away. Plus, when I forgot to suspend our shipment of frozen meals from The Farmer’s Dog while we were away, Karisa was a lifesaver! Not only did she keep an eye out for the package, but when it arrived, she brought it in out of the hot sun, unpacked it, and stored everything neatly in the freezer for us. About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 18 years old. I am not intimidated by size or breed of dog or cat. I have cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, turtles, horses, chickens, llamas, and a hedgehog. If owner was okay with it I took the dog to work with me or to a park to walk. I currently work part-time at a park on Thursdays and/or when someone needs coverage. I also attend church on Sundays. Otherwise I am available all days. I treat the animals as if they were my own. “Alexis was amazing & I will absolutely be using again! She did 1 hour drop-in visits for my 2 kitties for 8 days & went above & beyond my expectations. This was the first time I’ve ever had to leave them for an extended period of time, so it was also the first time I’ve had to hire someone to help take care of them, so I was pretty nervous. She came over ahead of time to get acquainted with them & myself, stayed in constant communication while I was gone, sent me lots of pictures & updates, & most impressive- got one of my babies to be snuggly & loving with her which is incredible considering their normal disposition around new people (hiding be pretty hissy/unfriendly). That alone let me know just how amazing she is with animals! When I came home their litter boxes were clean, their food & water were full, & they were both perfect condition. About: Ever since I was around 5 or 6, I always remember being in a home with pets. Whether it was dogs, cats, reptiles, a potbellied pig, and even smaller animals. Older or very young, all of the animals I have had and cared for were very spoiled and given a life well deserved. I love every single animal and couldn't imagine a life without them. I plan on fitting in pet care after working at my job, and possibly weekends. I care for pets in my home or a client's home by greeting them and making sure they have everything they need. This includes making sure they are comfortable enough, with plenty of food and water. I also make sure they get taken outside or have access to use the bathroom often or whenever needed. Activities, such as playing, walks, or tricks is something I make sure to fit in as well.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
