About: Growing up with dogs, I've always had a love for taking care of and making sure all dogs - big or small - feel loved, safe, and comfortable. At my previous place of work, I often watched my coworkers dogs in their homes while they were away. Whether its couch snuggles or early morning walks, I'm here for it! My ability to really listen to and hear what a dog needs sets me apart from other sitters; I firmly believe that there is so much more to a dog than people give them credit. They are such intelligent individuals with a raw sense of joy that it would be an absolute honor to get to spend time watching your furry friend! I am currently in-between jobs (May) but starting in the summer (mid-June), I will have a commitment to a job approximately 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. However, this schedule will still allow for lots of walk and play time with your furry friend while you are away! While my current place of living does not permit for pets, I am more than comfortable taking care of pets in their own homes while owners are away. Your beloved dog's safety and comfort is of highest importance to me! As I mentioned, I cannot currently offer boarding surfaces -- but I am eager to help out and take care of a pet in a client's home (check-ins/overnights). Not only will I be respectful of the space itself, but I will also be sure to attune to the needs of the dog in their home as I am a guest while I am there. This includes learning all necessary information head of time about the home, how to access needed things, and asking any lingering questions so that there is no question of your pet's comfort and safety in your time away.

12. Althea B.
“Two words: the best! Althea was able to help me out on short notice and was exceptional in all regards: checking in with me, going above and beyond for the pet, and making it a painless and easy experience. My dog weighs 130 lbs., so I'm assuming Althea is great with just about any size of pet. If she's available in your area, attempt to book her! Also, she was very flexible with time, respectful and cordial.”

About: I’m now a full time SAHM to a 7.5 month old (as of January), and I want to help care for your pet! I grew up riding and caring for horses, and have always had cats and dogs. I love animals and treat them like family. We have a German Shepherd named Ruck, and I take him for a 3 mile walk daily so he can run, sniff, and explore! Let me help you with the time and attention your beloved pet needs. I can help with feeding, walks, or just a simple visit for some pets and play. I’m a full time stay-at-home-mom, so my schedule is very flexible! M-F I can be available 11am-evening, and most Saturdays and Sundays early morning as well. I am an extension of you, so I will care for your pet as you do and treat them with respect and love, keeping them safe and happy.

About: I have several years of experience dog/pet sitting including overnight stays. I enjoy taking dogs on daily walks, and playing catch or tug of war to help them get in their daily exercise. Some dog breeds I have long-term care experience with (one-week to month-long pet sitting) include labs, golden retrievers, formosan mountain dogs, and bullmastiff. Although I love all the furry friends! I am also experienced in caring for multiple pets—the most being two dogs, two cats, and one stray, for two separate month-long sits. I am comfortable walking multiple dogs at a time. I also have experience feeding dogs and cats oral medications. I am happy to do house calls for walks and feeding, as well as overnight stays. During overnight stays I make sure the house stays clean and tidy, and that the pets follow their house rules! My schedule is very flexible, and I have a lot of daytime availability for walks and potty breaks. I work as a server/bartender, so am generally scheduled weekend evenings. My shifts last about 6 hours, so for house sitting/overnights, 6-7 hours would be the maximum amount of time the pups would be on their own. If sitting is scheduled with enough advance I can also get this down to only 5-6 hours. I currently cannot offer pet service in my own house. In a client’s home I always make sure I understand what the house rules are for the pets, as well as for guests! I am happy to meet clients in a public setting first if they feel more comfortable with that before inviting me to their home. I understand how important people’s homes and pets are to them, and do everything I can to communicate with reliability and respect. I love taking care of animals, and want both you and your pets to have a great experience with me.

About: Are you looking to go out of town for the weekend or for a weeks vacation, but don't want to stress your pet(s) by boarding them? I would be happy to come care for your furry friends at your home, and am comfortable doing overnight stays. I am very comfortable around all dog breeds and sizes. Have a cat or other family pet that needs care as well? No problem! I'm open to caring for animals other than dogs, too, and would love the opportunity to discuss caring for your pets further. Growing up my family always had dogs and cats around, and we also raised 7 dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. For the past 5 years I've been pet/house sitting for others as a way to spend additional time around animals, and provide families with an alternative to boarding. I am licensed, insured, and bonded, as well as pet CPR/First Aid certified. I have exceptional references, and would be happy to provide those upon request. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you!
