About: For over five decades, I’ve had the joy and privilege of caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. What began as a childhood love for animals has grown into a lifelong passion and profession. From raising litters of puppies to gently bottle-feeding orphaned kittens, and from grooming horses to tending to backyard chickens, I’ve experienced nearly every aspect of pet care. My journey includes extensive hands-on experience with dogs, cats, turtles, fish, horses, cattle, and chickens. Whether it’s managing the complex needs of a senior dog, administering medication to a diabetic cat, or ensuring a horse’s hooves are properly cleaned and checked, I bring a deep well of knowledge, calm confidence, and loving patience to every animal I care for. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on farms, in veterinary settings, and as a full-time pet sitter. I’ve handled emergency situations, special needs animals, and high-energy breeds. I know the importance of not just feeding and walking pets, but understanding their behavior, emotional needs, and unique personalities. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I work part-time remotely from home on my own flexible schedule, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, medication (if needed), and personalized care throughout the day. I’m a true homebody who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals, so pets are rarely left alone for long. My flexible lifestyle allows me to adapt to each pet’s routine, ensuring they receive consistent care, love, exercise, and a calm, safe environment where they feel comfortable, secure, and treated like family. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my highest priorities. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm, and supervised environment where they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and companionship throughout the day. My five friendly, well-socialized pets can provide positive interaction for social animals, while pets who prefer quiet time can enjoy a separate yard or their own space. If your pet is crate-trained or you prefer they be crated during meals, bedtime, or when appropriate, I’m happy to follow their normal routine. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and reduces stress. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your home and follow your pet’s established schedule as closely as possible. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, potty breaks, bedtime routines, and favorite activities to help your pet feel comfortable in their familiar surroundings. I’ll also make sure doors, gates, and fences remain secure, clean up after your pet, monitor for any changes in behavior or health, and keep you updated while you’re away. Every pet is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality, energy level, medical needs, and comfort level around other animals. Whether your companion loves to play, enjoys quiet naps, or requires extra patience due to age or special needs, I’ll provide personalized care that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and loved. About: I have always grown up with dogs in my life, and wanted to be a Veterinarian since I was little. I have worked at multiple humane societies caring for the dogs, and have an array of experience through schooling, and an externship at a Pet Clinic. I care deeply for animals of all types, and I would like to spend the rest of my life ensuring their wellbeing, and protection. I am confident that I can provide quality care for your furry babies, and make sure they are comfortable and happy! I have a keen eye for observing their behaviors/tendencies, so this will be important if they seem to be in pain or discomfort. I only want the best for your pet since I understand the importance of their companionship. I am currently traveling, so looking for some gig work while I’m on the East Coast, but usually I’m living in Hawaii and am self-employed, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I make sure to be patient with each animal and let them come to me. I won’t force them to be social, and will be aware of their behaviors to ensure safety and trust is built between us. Also being mindful of their interactions with other dogs or humans if they have any issues with them.

About: **I AM TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY STARTING 5/20/26 AND WILL BE BLOCKING MY CALENDAR TILL I KNOW I WILL RETURN. ** I travel off island often and can't have my own puppy family, so I will watch your fur-babies like they are my own! I enjoy the adventure of pup-sitting at homes all over the island. I work remotely so am able to be away from my place for long stretches of time. While I like to explore the local areas I stay in, I will mostly be snuggled up with your fur-babies typing away. I am a veteran with Rover- In fact I have been pet-sitting before Rover existed using Craigslist. I have a huge love for all animals and am very experienced with caring for different types of animals and breeds. I am patient, and gentle with a huge heart for animals. I understand every household has different culture. I always try and mimic all the rules of the home. Pets not allowed on the couch? no problem. Dogs like to sleep in the bed with owners? I am an expert puppy snugger. Perhaps the best. I will try and reinforce all commands and rules so there is a seamless transition upon your return. When dog-sitting in your home I will leave it better than I found it and happily respect boundaries and house rules. * My property is in Hilo but I am open to sitting at homes all over the island. In fact, I love to! I will text picture updates to my clients so they feel comforted that their sweetheart is being loved on. Why I love dog sitting: I had a Golden Retriever rescue for over 15 years till he passed 10 years ago. I travel a lot and didn't think it was fair to get another dog, but have been pet sitting since. I LOVE having dog energy still around... and the friendships I have made with my puppy parents. For my lifestyle it's the best of both worlds! I work remotely so am very flexible with my schedule and love having pets around to love on while exploring new and interesting locations on this beautiful island. My place is in Hilo but am open to doing pet sit stays all around the Big Island. Initial meeting can be done with a zoom call before meet and greet if too far from my area. I can also do house drop in visits if it coordinates with my location at the time needed. Right now I am primarily house sitting since my property does not have a fenced yard. I will match your schedule as best as possible and take care of your place the way you desire.
