Knuckie typically experiences a few days of depression and hives when I leave but with Emily he was in good spirits, eating and in his normal routine. Honestly, he looked fantastic when I returned -- like he'd had a week at a spa. “Shanna was awesome! She stepped in at the last minute and took really good care of our animals. Our dog Charlie is almost 16 years old and nearing the end of his life so he needs a lot of monitoring, attention and care. Before we met Shanna, we were really worried about leaving him, but were able to enjoy our trip away without worrying if he was okay. She managed his medications beautifully so he wasn't in pain. Rocky the cat took to her straight away and both of them were happy and relaxed when we returned. Shanna says she gives concierge service and she absolutely follows through!”

About: I’ve loved caring for various pets over the years. Growing up, I’ve been fortunate to be in a family that adores and cherishes our pets. We currently have 6 (3 dogs, 3 cats). Since I was about 15 years old, I’ve spent time helping family, friends, and neighbors with caring for their pets, including staying at their home to be with their fur babies. I have worked with large dogs (American Bulldogs, Pitbulls, etc.) and I have also dealt with small animals (Yorkies, Minidoodles, etc.). I love pets of all kind and would take great care of yours. My services can be dog sitting at your place, taking them for walks, feeding them, or even if you need someone to just visit them to make sure they are okay! I am currently working on my Master’s. My flexibility is open, aside from Thursday’s and Friday afternoons. Otherwise, I am available during weekdays and weekends at pretty much any time, as long as we plan in a reasonable time frame. I will provide services based on your preferences. As for dog walking, I would prefer your dog have a harness and rope leash as these have historically been the most durable for me. However, I’m not too picky and will adjust based on your pets usual care routines.

About: I’ve had animals from childhood and love learning about all of their special requirements so that they thrive and are happy. I’ve received multiple trainings in pet first aid and never leave the house without being prepared. I’m also a founding member of my county’s animal response team and have received all of the federal emergency training that goes along with that. I take continuing education classes and work with my dogs every day in cooperative care and have successfully taught them, through gentle means, to accept things like nail trims and teeth brushing - a bit of a passion of mine. I have room in my schedule morning, lunch, and evening walks and feeding. I have limited space to take your dog to my home for boarding. I have plenty of property but would keep your dog on a leash when going outside. I have two dogs who are very dog friendly and make friends easily. They just love to chase the ball and love life. I am extremely conscientious; my dogs are very well cared for. I bring that same level of care to everything that I do.
