About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: Hi! My name is Andrea. I have lived in the Hudson Valley for almost 4 years now, and have been working in the area off and on since 2014. I live with my partner, Mike, and precious pup Kona. I have always lived with dogs. And recently, have been thinking about getting a cat! I am an Occupational Therapist in a school district full time and love to farm and bicycle during my off time. I’ve done house sitting and dog sitting previously and enjoyed the work. I have my own vehicle and am used to commuting around the Hudson Valley for work and for fun. I wanted to get back into dog sitting and pet sitting to assist in getting a new car and to get to spend time with pets! I have always been obsessed with dogs! I show that through meeting as many as I can when out in the community :). I am active person, so long walks and playing is something I can provide. I am open to any requests you might have and am great at keeping in touch with pet parents. I can always be available through text, call, or email. I’m so excited to meet you and your lovely pets!! I have a full time job, so weekends are my only availability. However, I am open to discuss any special circumstances! I might potentially be more available on a long weekend, when I am off from my school based job. I would want to care for your pets as you would or how you would want. About: Ariana has taken care of dogs since she was 10 years old. She has experience with many types of dogs such as Australian Sheppards, Labradors, Huskies, mixed breeds, Pitt bulls, Shih Tzus, etc. Ari has some experience with grooming, puppy training, bathing, nail clipping, and even administering oral medication. She has LOTS of experience playing with dogs so she will have ways to keep your pups engaged and happy! Ariana pays close attention to the animals in her care which will allow her to notice any abnormalities or issues, and help her cater to the needs of your pets. In addition to dog care, Ariana also has extensive experience with cats, horses, bunnies, and miniature donkeys; and some experience with pet cows, pet sheep, chickens, ducks, and fish. I am currently working two jobs. One is Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 5 or 6. The other is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and some Tuesday's, usually from 12 to 3. I have availability before and after my weekday job and occasionally on Friday. I am able to offer flexible or consistent services (for example: occasionally house sitting, or weekly dog walking) for you and your pets! I am willing to accept stays longer than one week depending on the circumstances. I do not currently offer services from my home, but I am more than happy to provide on-site services at your home. I have a decent amount of experience providing care for people’s dogs, cats, and other animals within their homes.
