About: I have grown up with animals always in and out of the house so I have a lot of experience. We also foster kittens and momma cats which gives me such an understanding of animals! I am currently a Full time student at Columbia Greene. I am unable to have a full job right now so I can focus on my studies. Being able to pet sit is helpful job for me. And I am happy to be able to help those who need it. In my own home my dog has a perimeter collar so she can roam freely. When I watch others dog I like to keep them on their leash and or stay outside with them while they okay or go potty to ensure they are safe.

About: Some of my earliest memories are of spending many weekends and summers during my childhood at my grandparents’ home, helping them take care of chickens, ducks, goats and more. They even made goat cheese! For years, my sister and I begged our parents for a dog, and in 2012, a white Bichon Maltese came into our lives. He’s 15 now and still kicking, giving endless kisses and protesting whenever he has to get his eye drops. Shortly after him, we adopted two more dogs, also Bichon Maltese, and they have since become the cutest little family. I’ve taken care of them for more than 10 years, taking them on walks, feeding them, taking them to the groomers, the vet and more. All of that work is worthwhile and I’ve seen what a pet’s love can do to you: Not only did those three Bichon Maltese cure my mom’s fear of dogs but now she treats them like her children. Beyond them, I’ve cared for friends’ and family members’ pets, and now I’m lucky enough to dedicate so much of my time and money to making my own cat, Leela, happy. Growing up with and caring for a pet whose entire life is merely a chapter of my own has only cemented how important it is to give them the best life we can while they’re here with us. That’s what I strive to offer every pet in my care. I work from home most days and my schedule is pretty flexible. While early mornings and afternoons/evenings are generally preferred for drop-in visits/walks, I’m happy to work with your schedule to find something that will work. I have more availability for house sitting on weekends. It’s important that I meet you and your pet beforehand so I can hear how you want your pet to be taken care of (because the pet parent knows best!) Besides that, I always make sure leashes are adjusted properly and securely held with any dogs but especially with those who will take off running when you least expect it. I also make sure all doors are properly closed to prevent any escape attempts and that things cats might enjoy knocking over or nibbling at/eating are safely out of reach.

Emily stayed with my senior Boxer for 10 days at my home. She was a conscientious sitter -- taking perfect care of my home and of my pet. Knuckie typically experiences a few days of depression and hives when I leave but with Emily he was in good spirits, eating and in his normal routine. Honestly, he looked fantastic when I returned -- like he'd had a week at a spa. About: Since I been born my parents have had dogs and I was luckily able to care for them. I have dog sat for friends and family before and had nothing but a great experience. About: I really enjoy pet sitting. It is a calming activity that is healthy and keeps me occupied. I have experience taking care of dogs, puppies, cats, fish, chickens and parakeets. About: I waitress, have taken care of seniors and am a certified yoga instructor. I have had cats, dogs, chicks, fish, hamsters. I currently do not own any pets. Pets to me are precious friends who are to be taken care of like children. With full attention, support and love. I work from home so I am able to provide that kind of care. About: I currently own an amazing certified Good Boy Austalian Cattle Dog and two snuggly cats. I have have always owned at least one pet, both cats and dogs since I was little. I have done a decent amount of pet sitting for neighbors and friends. I have even had to give oral meds to one dog I dog sat. If you have any questions, please ask! Dogs will always get at least a 15 minutes walk because my dog usually needs a longer one. I sometimes give my cats and dog breakfast and then usually give the dog a quick 15 walk in the morning before leaving for work at 7:30 am. I get back home around 3:00 pm and usually give my dog his actual long walk between 40 and 70 minutes depending on weather. I feed the animals and then have dinner and usually just relax and snuggle on the couch with at least one of the fur kids. I fit in other cleaning and what not in there but I always make it a point to walk my doggo and make sure they get snuggles since I am gone for a good portion of the day. I have room for a crate for a crate trained dog. I have a moderately sized backyard that is well fenced in. My dog is a counter surfer so we have baby gates for both the kitchen and the extra bedroom. The extra bedroom serves as the cat room so the cats have a dedicated space. Stuff can be adjusted if you have a cat not used to dogs, so they can have that entire room or vice versa our cats can go in there for a dog that is not cat friendly. We only live five minutes from Marbletown Animal Hospital of any emergencies arise needing urgent care if your vet is not available.
