My mother actually says that my first word as a baby was "dog", so I think it is simply fate that I am here today. I grew up with a magical Golden Retriever named Chessie and a spunky wire-haired Dachshund named Emma. I loved playing fetch with Chessie in the backyard, grooming Emma and trying to tame her spikey fur, and walking them together all around my hometown. And later, I was lucky enough to adopt a very special 7-year old mini-Australian Shepherd named Lexi who had been surrendered by her previous owner. Lexi had intense separation anxiety and some health issues with her kidneys, so after all that she had been through, it was so wonderful and rewarding to love and care for Lexi and watch her regain her confidence and trust in people and thrive. Being her dog-mom was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life and I miss her so much. We were worried about how she would do staying with a family with young kids. Meghan & Sean listed to our worries and helped up brainstorm ways to put our dog at ease. And it worked like a charm! We were so grateful to the extra time Meghan & Sean spent to make both the humans and the doggo feel positive about the plan. We loved getting pics of the crew on their daily walks. It was also really really REALLY nice to see how much love Meghan and fam have for all animals, and how positive they were about our sometimes tricky dog. Our dog had a great week and we will definitely return to Meghan & Sean for future doggy needs, whether it is another week or a shorter visit. Highly recommend, zero notes!”
