“August was awesome! Sent pictures and visit summaries after every visit. Took my dog on walks and played with him every visit. He had some stomach issues while I was away, and August was a big help in getting him to feel better and eat again!”

“We are newbies to Rover and Marler did not disappoint. Our kitty 'Dite is not much of a people kitty but Markee did a great job with taking care of 'Dite.'Marlee actually got'Dite to interact with her. So it's a paws up to Marlee!”

“Deidre came to the rescue when our plans fell through for our dog last minute- she was able to come care for and let him out for a few days! She sent lots of pictures- and took good care of him.”

About: I recently left an executive position with an animal welfare nonprofit/veterinary clinic. In my newly acquired free time, I'd love to help you with your pet(s)! I have handling experience and am comfortable with both dogs and cats. If you have a nervous animal, I'm happy to try to ease in to being their new friend. I also have experience administering medication to pets. Until I decide to seek another full-time position, I'm available most days and some evenings. I would be open to regularly scheduled walks or drops ins for the next several weeks. Our family has 2 cats and 3 dogs and we love them all dearly. I've also fostered for KC Paws as well as my former organization.
“Reagan was great with my kitty Bowie! She was very patient and helpful while I wasn’t home allowing me to enjoy my vacation. I will definitely request her again.”

“Marissa is fantastic!!! She took into great consideration of my cat’s boundaries while providing quality care when I am away. Will provide pictures and follows through with the schedule. Super sweet and handles last minute changes well. Highly recommended her services for anyone looking.”

“Mallory was great! She was kind and professional and gave great updates and you could tell she cared for my dogs - I would definitely use her again.”

“Michelle was amazing! I was a little worried after we had a sitter last year that didn't meet our expectations but Michelle met all of them! She was great with Neeley during her initial visit and I know Neeley was in good hands for the entire week. I really appreciated Michelle's consistent check-ins and pictures as well!”
“I have been beyond pleased with Natalie’s drop in visits for my dog! I was put in a bind where I had to find someone to let my dog out over the lunch hour on very short notice with a return to office mandate in place. Natalie responded to the request right away and completely saved me from any anxiety I might have had with leaving my dog at home all day. Natalie is consistently on time with the scheduled drop ins and provides an excellent high level summary of what took place while she was there with a photo of my dog. I couldn’t recommend her enough to anyone needing services for their pets. You will not be disappointed!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life and have experience with dogs at every stage of life, from newborn puppies to senior dogs requiring extra care. I’m comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions when needed. I also have experience working with dogs that have behavioral challenges such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, and reactivity. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’m very familiar with canine body language and believe strongly in calm, consistent handling. I’ve helped puppies learn leash walking, basic obedience commands (sit, stay, down, etc.), and have supported owners during early potty-training stages. For boarding, I do require that dogs are already potty trained so they can comfortably integrate into the household routine. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for an additional cost. My goal is always to create a calm, safe environment where each dog feels comfortable and well cared for. I care for pets full-time, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, and boarding. Dogs staying in my home receive regular potty breaks, exercise, and supervision throughout the day. Because my schedule is flexible, I can accommodate morning, midday, and evening needs and will adapt to your dog’s routine so their schedule stays as consistent as possible. I prioritize a calm, safe environment for every dog in my care. I intentionally board dogs from only one household so each dog receives individual attention and a lower-stress environment compared to high-volume boarding homes. I have my own friendly dog, and I always ensure dogs are a good temperament match before confirming a stay. Meet-and-greets are encouraged so both dogs can become comfortable before the booking. I carefully follow each dog’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any medications or special instructions provided by the owner. Safety and consistency are always my top priorities.
“Katy is wonderful with our senior cat, Fredo, who has special medical needs and likes a lot of attention. We always come home to a happy and content cat, so we know that Katy has taken great care of him while we were gone! We highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter in the KC area.”

“Jaden is very attentive, communicates well, and gives so much love and care to my dog!! I am so impressed by Jaden’s professionalism and reliability. 1000% booking with them again!”

About: I personally trained our two family dogs, Edward & Bella (shelties). We sadly lost them both the last 3 years, however. I love dogs/cars and still trying to convince my fiancé to get one of our own. I would show anyone’s pet with the same respect I’d give to my own. I enjoy helping others and their pets even more. I’m very patient and love to play with dogs. I am very friendly and would love to meet your fur baby. I am between careers currently and pursuing my dream job of becoming a firefighter. My fiancé is an ER Doctor and is supporting my career path so I am very available until my courses start in July. I have one trip at the end of April for about 8 days and another in May for only two days. I will be available Monday-Friday (some Saturdays or Sundays if necessary) until that July start time. I have helped multiple friends out with their animals before. I specifically have watched two Golden Retrievers for some friends and my future mother-in-law’s Miniature Schnauzer, multiple times. I love them all like they’re my own and have done everything from feeding them, walking them, playing with them and even staying the night/having them over.
“Megan was great! I would recommend her to anyone - she took great care of my cat while I was out of town and was kind & definitely made me feel comfortable leaving my pet in her hands!”

“We have been using Kayah to let our dogs out during the week while we are at work for 30min drop-in visit slots. She has done a great job so far for us. She is great at communication via the Rover texting/messaging service. She has given both dogs great attention and care - giving them food, taking them on a quick trip up and down the street to go to the bathroom, and just giving them love and playtime. We are happy we found her and plan to continue to use her for as long as we need help during the day. Really appreciate her help with our fur babies.”

Lea Manor pet parents share their Rover experiences
Griffin provided a great experience. He was prompt with communication and the dogs seemed to get along well with him. We have a 150 lbs Great Dane who isn't easy to walk but it didn't seem to be an issue at all. I recommend Griffin to anyway needing someone to trust with their dogs.
Emily was very responsive in the process leading up to her time caring for our dogs. She took great care of them and provided a timely update on how they were doing including pictures of their happy faces! We will definitely be using her services again in the future!
Georgia did a meet and greet with us and our doggos before booking. She was kind and patient and asked pertinent questions. I felt safe and that our dogs were in very capable and caring hands with Georgia. The Rover app is so easy to use and the process was smooth.

Sarah was so wonderful to work with! She was able to accommodate us on a last minute request and our two cats looked forward to seeing her each day. She always sent plenty of photos, and even went the extra mile to move some packages into our apartment while we were gone. Would highly recommend her and would use her again!
