About: Hi! I’m Sofia, a biology student at the University of Pittsburgh and a nurse aide at Concordia, where being dependable, attentive, and responsible is part of my everyday job. I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years. I regularly help family, friends, and neighbors with walking and pet care, and I’ve helped raise and train my grandma’s 60-pound dog since she was a puppy. I also walk my own energetic 70-pound dog every day, so I’m comfortable with large, active breeds. I love staying active and enjoy running, so if your dog enjoys longer walks or jogging, I’d be happy to keep them exercised. I understand that every dog has different needs and will always follow your care instructions to make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. Because I work as a nurse aide from 3–11 p.m., I’m available for morning and early afternoon walks and drop-in visits. I pride myself on being punctual, reliable, and treating every pet like my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your dog! I work at Concordia nursing home as a nurse aide 3-11 almost every day. I am completely free early mornings until before my work. I have a fenced in yard at my home and a one year old puppy. She is good with kids and other dogs and never aggressive.

About: I’ve taken care of friends and neighbors cats and dogs for about 10 years now. I also have dogs and cats of my own and have been a pet owner of dogs and cats since 2006. I currently work remote and have a flexible schedule. I can schedule drop in visits or walks throughout the day multiple times per week. I am flexible and can work with your schedule. I prefer to communicate or have a list provided by the pet owner to ensure I am not disrupting the cat or dogs schedule. About: Born into a family of dog lovers, some of my earliest memories are daily walks with my grandfather’s dog. I grew up with a black lab, a chihuahua, a shi-tzu mix, and a golden retriever, and now own a 12yo cattle dog-mix, socialized with humans and dogs, and extremely well-behaved and taken care of. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t immediately bond with and have watched the pets of family members, neighbors, and co-workers dozens of times over the years. Work full-time but available on the weekends and work from home with flexible hours Tues-Thurs. I live a dog-centric life. My own dog gets 3 walks daily for 2-6 miles (as long as the weather permits) Frequent walks, hikes, trips to the dog park, and plentiful opportunities to go outside. Been through a wide variety of doggy illnesses and injuries and happy to follow any instructions and specialized care your dog might require.

About: As a caregiver of humans, my number one asset for this job is patience. I am not easily startled or upset, and treat any accidents or change in plans as a reason to simply go with the flow. Having worked with medically complex newborns, colic babies, and overnight nanny shifts, I am well equipped to deal with a pet that might be anxious or jumpy because they miss their parent. I currently work as a nanny and doula, so my schedule fluctuates greatly. At times I may have multiple baby/mother clients, and at times I may only have one, and am seeking flexible caregiving work with animals to brighten my slower weeks. From my experience as a nanny and doula, I always prioritize safety, following caregiving instructions and bringing a calm energy to your home to make your pet feel comfortable and loved. I do not care for animals in my own home as my cat is happier being an only child. I offer drop ins and walks for cats and small/medium dogs. I have over five years experience working in other people’s homes with both animals and children, so I am very thorough and detail oriented, always remembering to shut doors behind me and keep things safely out of the reach of babies and animals. As a doula, I often enter people’s homes at a very vulnerable and chaotic time and so I am used to being a responsible source of stability as a caregiver.

About: At this time, I am not house sitting. I like dog walking or drop ins. Thank you! I have always enjoyed dogs; playing and walking them especially in my neighborhood or at the park. When I was nine years old our first dog was Comet, a happy yellow lab and a bit of a barker. Then our family adopted a good little guy named Seamus. He was a mixed black lab puppy and he was very territorial which took some training and love to help him be less aggressive. I am not going to brag, but I know that I was Seamus' favorite because he never growled at me. We loved taking walks and rides. Unfortunatley, Seamus passed away from cancer in 2012. Next my parents found Noah from a beagle rescue. He is 100% beagle and 100% mischievious. He is a great guy, but he steals slippers even at the ripe old age of 10. He likes car rides. My husband and I adopted Mikey, a beagle mix and he is my buddy. He goes everywhere with us. He has been to Ohiopyle, playgrounds, family member's houses, and a Target Drive Up run. He is like my kid. I am definately his favorite! I have time in the evenings and on the weekends. I can be available with advanced notice in the daytime. Let me know how I can help. I give them love like you would, and I pet them. Even a massage can help their joints as older dogs have pain sometimes. I treat dogs like they are my family.
