“Mica was absolutely great! She was very accommodating with last-minute changes and handled everything smoothly. She clearly loves dogs! She took them for walks, spent quality time with them, and sent tons of great pictures that kept us updated and reassured the whole time. We’ve used her before and will definitely continue using her in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Evelyn was great with my pets and they enjoyed her. I got lots of cute pictures and updates. She worked great with my schedule that was based on how quickly I was driving through not good weather and we got back almost 12hrs later than intended. I came home to my house cleaner than I left it too which was a great surprise after driving 1800 miles in under 48 hours. She even watched a couple of my clients pets that had last minute bookings!”

“Cole was a Godsend when I found myself needing to find care for our two pups at the last minute on 4th of July weekend. She specializes in dogs with firework and thunder anxiety which both of our girls struggle with so when I saw her profile, I prayed she would have availability, and that prayer was answered. Nicole came right over to meet us and everything worked out better than I could have hoped for. She is very communicative and sent updates and photos throughout the visit. She even brought a white noise machine to help mask the noises from the fireworks to help keep our babies! If you are looking for a kind, compassionate, attentive and highly skilled caregiver you can not go wrong with Nicole! She is amazing and I will definitely reach out to her the next time our girls need a sitter! Thank you Nicole! Until next time!”

“Katarina was one of the best pet sitters I’ve ever had. I am very anxious to leave my dogs because my husband and I both work from home and are with them almost 24/7 and we have had some really bad experiences with sitters in the past. She went above and beyond to communicate and send updates. I could tell that she wasn’t just going through the routine, that she genuinely loves dogs and my dogs loved her. We have a puppy who can be a lot and she handled him so well. She left the house so clean and both dogs seemed relaxed and happy when we got home! I highly recommend her!!”

About: Taken care of family and friends pets for many years, very patient and willing to go the extra mile. No formal experience but been in a pet owning family my whole life. Currently living with my family and have many days free, always available on short notice and willing to do overnights. Have reliable transportation and a desire to meet new furry “customers”. Am very kind and understanding to all pet personalities, love to take walks and play. Informal training is a skill of mine and I love to see pets learn new things.
“We’ve used Rover for years and never had such a positive experience as we did with Megan. She not only took diligent notes about all of my pups little quirks and preferences, but she really went the extra mile every opportunity she had. Our dogs loved her, too 😃. I will absolutely be using her in the future and recommending Megan to anyone looking for a pet/house sitter.”

“When Ariel arrived, Kallie was wagging her tail. She clearly likes Ariel. Ariel spent quality time with Kallie. She was not just in and out. She also sent pictures and kept me informed. I feel very comfortable leaving Kallie with Ariel and having Ariel house sit. I would highly recommend Ariel S.”

“Susan is the most wonderful gem in the whole world. She and Holli took such great care of our sweet girls. We were so nervous to leave the pups for such a long time and Susan was such a comfort. Our house was beyond amazing when we came home too. Thank you so much Susan.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my cat received! When I got home, my cat was happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also went above and beyond by taking out all of our trash before we returned, which was such a thoughtful surprise. It’s the little things like that that make a huge difference. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter!”

“Danielle was very responsive in making arrangements for her to house sit my dog, Loki. While staying with Loki, she kept me up to date with pictures, videos and comments. Loki received lots of attention, affection and playtime/exercise from Danielle. I don’t think Loki missed me at all! I definitely want to have Danielle house sit again.”

About: I have 2 canine good citizen trained dogs and have trained dogs in the past for 4 years. I also have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I currently work from home with 2 dogs. I can cater to various feeding and potty schedules including puppy training. I can also take on walks if needed. Currently an unfenced yard with 2 dogs remote collar trained to stay in the yard. Plenty of space in the yard to take out on a leash or walk to potty if needed.

“Highly recommend!!! Anne followed our instructions, kept good care of our house, cleaned up after herself & made our pup feel SO LOVED! Daily updates & quick responses. Already have her booked again.”

About: I work from home and travel as needed throughout the year. My family currently cannot have a full time pet with our lifestyle, but we love animals so much, I wanted to find a way to get my fix! I have been watching pets for family, friends and neighbors for over 20 years. I work from home, so I have flexibility to be with animals during the day and after work. Since I can work from anywhere, it makes it easy for me to pivot easily to be there for your pet! If an animal is coming to my home, it’s very pet friendly. We host pets here all the time. We keep things clean, and don’t leave things out for pets to get into. We have a fenced in yard that is fairly large for furry friends to play. Our neighborhood has a lot of walking paths, perfect for time outside!

“Roman was a fabulous house and dog sitter. He always responded to us promptly. He came over for a meet and greet first and everything went well due to Roman's calm demeanor, and even my timid German shepherd got on with him very well after a few minutes. Highly recommend him.”

“Abby did a great job taking care of our dog Gunner and our house while we were on vacation for a week. She was always responsive and professional with communication, from the first outreach until the end of our trip. Abby also texted pictures of him a few times, and he looked happy and relaxed, which helped to reassure us of his well-being. We'd definitely have Abby come over again!”

“Meaghan truly was amazing with our babies and was so considerate of our home and four legged family members. I would not hesitate to ask her to sit again, or even recommend her.”

Didi is always so amazing and coordinated with my mother in law since we were in such a drastically different time zone. We always appreciate her flexibility and are consistently blown away with how well she takes care of our dogs and our house while we are away. I truly cant recommend her enough!! She is incredible!!

When Ariel arrived, Kallie was wagging her tail. She clearly likes Ariel. Ariel spent quality time with Kallie. She was not just in and out. She also sent pictures and kept me informed. I feel very comfortable leaving Kallie with Ariel and having Ariel house sit. I would highly recommend Ariel S.

Ava was beyond AMAZING! Not only did she provide standard pet care, she went above and beyond to love our fur babies as her own. It actually brings tears to my eyes to have been able to have such a trusting and nurturing person with our precious animals. We have now adopted Ava as a part of our family! Rover, thank you for making this connection possible!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,477 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lamong. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lamong walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lamong maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lamong choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lamong. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
