Doggy Day Care In Lakewood

About: I grew up around all kinds of animals! I love spending time with creatures of any kind and have been pet sitting since high school. (7+ years) I’m currently a student and volunteer EMT, but as a second semester senior, I have lots of time to spare. I’m completely free on weekends, and only have one class (2-3pm) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I will respect your pet’s personality and house rules. My house has a fenced in backyard, and Audubon park is near by for fun walks and sniffs. I also live with 1 roommate who loves pets too. Lots of pats and snuggles given here!

“My dog is actually ready to pack her bags and leave us to go live with Emily now! Sable needed to be watched during an evening event due to her separation anxiety, and she was not only happy to go to Emily’s house after we had a meet and greet the week before, but she also was completely comfortable and not even excessively eager to go home when we picked her up. Sable had a great time, and Emily sent many pictures documenting Sable’s day with her, as well as updates on how things were going. I have over a decade of experience working in the veterinary industry, so, unfortunately, I have seen what can happen to pets left with the wrong caretakers, and I’m very cautious with whom I entrust my pets’ care to due to this potential. I would trust Emily with any of my four dogs, and I am so glad she agreed to meet with me and watch Sable! Sable is happy to have some new friends built in with Emily’s own pack of 5 star canine employees (who were happy to show Sable the ropes, but also would have been content to take the day off and stay in their own spaces if Sable didn’t like or want to be around other dogs), and I am happy to have peace of mind that my dogs will be looked after with the same level of attention I would provide. Oh, and have I mentioned Emily’s yard and home? A paradise for pups and people alike with shade being provided throughout the day from oak trees and ramped decking (especially great for pups that can’t do stairs!), so the heat that may keep my crew indoors during certain times of the day at home is miraculously manageable at Emily’s house! This is perfect for those hounds that would rather spend more time outside, but the inside of Emily’s home is just as inviting with many comfy spaces set up for the pups to rest or play in a controlled climate. I hear guests are even allowed on the furniture! ☺️🥰”

I’m a former entrepreneur from Ukraine, currently living in New Orleans with my daughter and her family. We live in a large home with a separate mother-in-law suite and a huge gated backyard where pets can safely run and play. I’m calm, patient, and very attentive, especially with senior pets and animals who need extra reassurance or consistent routines. I structure my daily and weekly routine around caring for pets, allowing me to accommodate feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication needs, and extra check-ins as needed. Because this is my primary commitment, I’m available for consistent routines, last-minute requests, and extended stays, and I can adapt my schedule to what works best for your pet. My home is located in a quiet, private neighborhood and features a large, fully fenced and gated backyard, giving pets plenty of room to safely explore, play, and relax.

About: I’ve cared for dogs at every life stage, from puppies to seniors, with a variety of breeds and temperaments. Right now, I have a small breed senior who is still fairly active. I am typically at home, have a flexible schedule, and am available for drop-offs on short notice. Just let me know how I can assist! Your dog will have free range of the living areas, with regular supervised visits to the enclosed backyard, and will be walked at least twice daily or as often as requested.

I currently have one cat I rescued as a kitten three years ago and a dog who loves to play that I rescued 2 years ago from a shelter. I have even spent time volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation hospital. I have had dogs as pets throughout my life, and have been hired as a dog sitter for several years. I am a music therapist, educator, and caregiver to humans and animals alike. I am often at home or in the city, spending time outdoors and seeking out new opportunities. I wake up early, and have a very flexible schedule as far as pet-sitting and dog walking go. I have a large, fenced-in backyard just waiting for a dog to run around in! I live in a quiet, beautiful and safe neighborhood with sidewalks and few cars. I am also located near several walking trails, and the park. Additionally, I have my own transportation and would be happy to use it to bring your pet to the dog park, or to nearby walking spots. I have a very flexible schedule, and am able to house sit at a moments notice, for short as well as extended periods of time.
