Michelle is fantastic. Before scheduling an appointment, she arranged a meet and greet to get to know Apollo. From the moment Apollo met Michelle, we knew he was in great hands. His first walk with her went smoothly, with regular updates and photos. Highly recommend.

About: My main service is cat boarding! I have everything for every type of cat! I have wall perches and beds for cats who like to climb, I have tons of cat safe places for a shy cat to hide, and I have probably 10 different cat trees and scratch towers, and of course an endless amount of toys! My house is also always 100% dog free! My home is basically a kitty wonderland 🐈‍⬛ ⭐️ I NEVER board or sit dogs in my own home. My house is 100% dog free 365 days of the year! I know this is very important to some cat parents! ⭐️ I’m currently not available for any dog sitting or drop in services! I mainly specialize in cat care at this current moment! I don’t have dogs in my home, so if you’re looking for a cat sitter without dogs, I’m a good pick! I have cared for dozens of cats between sitting, boarding, and fostering. I have experience with cats with all different temperaments. If your cat prefers to hide for days at a time, or bounces off the walls at 3 am, I’ve seen it all!

About: Every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and genuinely cared for—even when you’re away. That’s exactly the kind of care I provide. As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets are family. I share my home with my sweet 6-year-old Cavapoo and my gentle 10-year-old Scottish Fold cat, so I know firsthand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family members. Before joining Rover, I worked at Dogtopia, where I cared for groups of up to 20 dogs at a time. That experience taught me how to understand different personalities, recognize body language, manage dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and ensure every pup feels safe, comfortable, and happy. When I was younger, I babysat and walked dogs for relatives and neighbors. I also know that leaving your pet can be stressful for you, too. That’s why I make communication a priority. You’ll receive regular photo updates, videos, and text messages so you can see your pet enjoying their day and have peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands. When I care for your pet, my goal is simple: I want them to feel as comfortable, happy, and loved as they do when they’re with you. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged family member and become someone you can count on whenever you need an extra helping hand. I am currently on summer break from college. From September 2026, I will be available to work at any time on Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoon/evenings and Saturday and Sunday. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply quiet companionship, I’ll tailor every visit to their unique personality and routine. I believe every pet deserves individual attention, patience, and lots of affection. That is how I am with my dog Flash and my beautiful cat, Princess Leia. Honestly, no request is too much, my dog and cat both are very particular in their ways.

About: I’m currently in my second year of veterinary school at TuftsVet. I’ve had extensive animal experience as a result, including 500+ hours in a veterinary clinic. I’ve also worked full-time for a year at a veterinary pharmacy, and part-time as a kennel assistant at a dog and cat daycare where I mostly boarded, walked, and socialized with the dogs. I love animals, and want to give them the best care because that’s what they deserve! I unfortunately am only available until August, but my schedule over the summer is very flexible. The only day I am strictly unavailable are Sundays, but otherwise from 11am-7pm I am free. Check-ins will include checking their food/water, general status, and of course, playtime! Any instructions that the owner leaves will be followed and photos of the pet will be sent to the owner during check-ins.

About: Hello fur mamas and papas! My name is Lindsay, IV been with animals literally my entire life. I've had dogs, cat, rabbits. For the past 12 years, IV had three dogs (one we need to say goodbye to after 11 years) a Rottweiler, golden retriever and a little Pekingese. As well as several cats through the years. My absolutely know and fully understand more then anything that these are your babies. Because when I have to leave my animals with someone I want to know they're in the best hands (just like my children!) I love animals, going for walks, playing, bathing. Keeping company. I don't sit on my phone and call it "companionship" animals have emotions and love, and deserve to have the best of that when they're in someone else's care. I know without a doubt your fur babies are in the best hands, and you will feel so comfortable and secure as well. Thank you so much I'm currently working for myself, so this position is perfect! I love that I have the freedom to make my own hours, and do what I love. I do work as well, however I know my schedule weeks sometimes months in advance. So there would never be a conflict if a client (from Rover) scheduled with me. I live in a beautiful big house with a large backyard, completely fenced in. And dog friendly of course! In the backyard we have safe dog approved toys, dog scooper, kiddie pop up pool for the warm months. I also allow my pets I'm watching to be on the couches and beds. I also provide dog beds, water and food dishes. I'm always watching them as well. This is what I do full time and it's my passion!

Cristofer has recently started walking our Golden . He has taken the best care of her. Walking her a good distance to get her energy out . While making sure she does her business before bring her home and putting her safely in her crate. He is excellent at keeping me in the loop as to her sending plenty of pictures and providing good feedback . I’m sure My Maggie has befriended Cristoper for years to come .

Michelle was wonderful with our two senior rescue dogs! From the very first visit, it was clear she was experienced and comfortable caring for older dogs with different needs. She instinctively knew how to approach them, which immediately put us at ease. We were so impressed after the first visit that we booked her for consecutive walks and weekend drop-in visits. Throughout every visit, Michelle kept us well informed with detailed updates about how the dogs were doing, their walks, meals, potty breaks, and overall behavior. She also shared great photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. When we returned home, the biggest sign of how well she had cared for them was how calm, happy, and settled they were. Everything was just as we had left it, and it was obvious they had been well looked after. Michelle is reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets.

  • 87% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
