Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities.

I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!

Julissa has been a very kind, patient and thoughtful daycare sitter for my dog Zoe. Zoe is quite anxious at first with people, so I am particular and request that people not pet her right away and go slow. She has quickly warmed up to Julissa, who has been so attentive to Zoe’s needs and also followed all my tips to help her feel comfortable. She took it slow and pays attention to dog body language, letting my dog choose what she is comfortable with for walks and activities. We feel lucky to have found her to help care for Zoe and I would highly recommend her to look after your pets!
Julissa is incredibly caring, attentive, and knowledgeable with pets. She treats every animal like her own, making sure they feel loved, safe, and happy at all times.

Schedule
I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers
