“Valerie took on the task of watching our 5 babies. She provided good communication to keep us updated on how the girls were all doing. She went above and beyond when one of our girls was sick. We ran out of paper towels and she went out and bought more. Valerie also took extra special care of Jovi when she wasn’t eating very well. She took the time to sit with her and added warm water to her food to coax her to eat in three small sessions. We are grateful we found and loving and devoted person like Valerie to love our 5 girls while we were out of town for the week. Thank you for everything. About: I have utmost respect (and lots of love!) for all animals. I truly view them as real friends and equals. With experience, I have also learned how to set and maintain good (and firm - when necessary) boundaries. Dogs have been trusted members of my family since I was a child. I have cared for senior rescue dogs; I have socialized puppies; I have taught reserved dogs new tricks; and I have taught stubborn dogs to sit and wait. I have admittedly less history with cats, but just as much respect and care for them as any other animal. I do currently have one close cat companion (we used to be roommates, and have been best buds ever since). As with all animals, I find that the respect and love I give to the pets I interact with is reciprocated - and often multiplied! As a person who is both adventurous and empathetic, I am generally very well attuned to the health and wellbeing of those around me, and I really enjoy taking dogs for walks almost as much as they do! I also like to play, and I can handle all kinds of doggy games. Big dogs welcome! I am an early riser - morning walks are my favorite! From day to day, I am generally very flexible; I work part-time as an independent handyman (furniture assembly, TV mounting, etc). I can make almost anytime work, as long as we can agree in advance. “Mariia was absolutely amazing with lotus and coco. Thanks to her I was finally able to enjoy a vacation worry and stress free. I’ve used Rover once in the past and had an awful experience with two different people canceling on me a day and two days before my trip and then the sitter that finally agreed to watch them, canceling on me after I left for my trip. My dogs can be super crazy at first and need some time getting used to someone new. Mariia came over once to meet them for a bit and then came over early the day I was leaving to spend some time with them before I left and that really helped my dogs get comfortable with her. I definitely over worry any time I’m away from my dogs and stress about whether they’re being good, but she stayed in contact with me every day sending messages and photos and it really helped me to enjoy my vacation and not worry about my dogs. I’m so happy I’ve finally found someone that I can rely on to watch them when I go on vacation. I can’t recommend her enough.”
