“Carolyn has been so great and helpful helping me with my puppy when I’m away for work! She is very helpful in giving me a peace of mind knowing Bean is safe while I’m away.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 6 years, including my own three pups. One of my dogs lived to 17, so I have plenty of senior dog care experience. I’ve taken all my dogs through puppy training classes, where both owners and puppies learn proper training techniques. I’ve also provided dog walking and sitting services for neighbors, giving me a well-rounded understanding of various dog personalities and needs. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and I love giving them the care and attention they deserve! As a part time cast member at Walt Disney World, I have a flexible schedule. My work week consists of short, minimal shifts, so I can dedicate plenty of time to caring for your pets. I live in the area, so I'm available for local dog walking and sitting, and I can easily accommodate your pet’s needs around my schedule during the week. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines. I’m committed to providing care that aligns with your preferences, whether it’s following a specific feeding schedule, maintaining their exercise routine, or offering lots of playtime. I’ll ensure your pet feels comfortable and safe in their own home while providing companionship and attention. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, and I’m open to following your instructions to create a loving environment just as you would.

“Paula is very much the person you who you would hope to find to care for your pets. She is caring, reliable, punctual, and very communicative - everything we could ask for. Paula met and even exceeded all our expectations.”

“Samantha was a hit with Mulder when they first met! I saw how he immediately accepted Samantha. It gave me peace of mind while we were away for an extended period of time. We have your number Samantha and we will call you again when needed. Thank you!”

“Shelley took such good care of my two kitties and sent their mom pictures everyday. She went above and beyond when one of them barfed on the rug and cleaned it. She brought in a package that was at my door.”

“Nick was amazing! He was very professional and scheduled a video chat with me so he could share all about his business and how he could help Coco. He asked the right questions and I could absolutely tell he knew what he was doing. I will absolutely use him again in the future!”

About: I’ve loved dogs my entire life. From growing up with a Basset Hound and Beagle to spending the last 8 years raising my own dog, Ivy, I’ve learned that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Pet care is currently my primary focus, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight care throughout the week and on weekends. Because my schedule is flexible, I can often accommodate last-minute requests and provide consistent care, attention, exercise, and companionship for your pet. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. As a dog owner myself, I’ve spent the last 8 years caring for my own dog, Ivy, and I know how important routines, safety, and communication are. I’ll always follow your pet’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, and house rules. Whether caring for your pet in your home or during walks and visits, I’ll provide attentive, reliable care and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Buena Vista
My niece used to watch my cat and she’s moving away so I had to find a sitter for her and I was very anxious about it. Sarah came over and did a meet and greet, was very kind and my cat didn’t run and hide from her which was a great sign. She too great care of my cat and sent pics and kept me updated. It was huge relief! I would recommend Sarah and use her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
